  • If I heard something like that, I'd say screw the company contract, we're going home.

  • Sounds like a Prince record...

  • Why am i watching this.I have the DVD! PFFF!!

  • It was probably an old warning from one of the space jockey ships- they set the barriers up inside the structure/ ship to keep the eggs from being active.

  • @lightlittlebrownboy And the hole in the Space Jockey's chest suggests something went wrong and they got out, which caused them to crash and send the signal. We won't get any direct answers from Prometheus, Lindelof says the derelict isn't actually the same ship from Alien, just a similar model.

  • @eirikwegga

Well I always thought that whatever got out of the Space jockey had to have been a precursor to the alien. It couldn't have been the same dna of the xenomorph we've seen so often- it was something else maybe even prior to that incident. Honestly the debate could go on forever- unless Prometheus answers what happened, even with the different setting.

  • The transmission is actually a space jockey viral video for a cat playing a keyboard. The other space jockey finds it quite humorous.

  • So excited for Prometheus now!!! Actually shit myself the first time I heard the "voice"

  • A few things:

    1. As codafett wrote correctly, such kind of a message would shit our pants; it would be more than obvious that you are having contact with something alien.

    2. I adored the effect of seeing details of the monitor on her face; now this is a good cyberpunk element in the movie; machines over humans.

    3. The company knew all this shit from the beginning; perhaps they also do in real life...?

  • It was so wrong....I'm so sorry

  • Subtitle: "Whatever you do don't fucking land here. Nuke the entire site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure."

  • A L I E N is a masterpiece

  • At least, we heard Space Jockey's language! Or maybe not, let see in Prometheus....

  • If I was a squillion miles from anywhere and heard that....

    Warp 10. Engage!

  • the message said: do not on this planet, or you are fucked

  • Sounds straight from Mechwarrior 2... ;)

  • cant wait for prometheus

  • that sounded cool. i wish they left this in the movie. althought, if i were part of that crew hearing THAT, i would NOT want to go and investigate something that sounds like that. proper procedure or not. imho

  • Lambert is so sexy.

  • Predator talking

  • Perhaps we'll hear this again in Prometheus.

  • Comment removed

  • I read the book, the message is To stay away.

  • @MyDougt

They shouldn't have sent out a sent out a transmission at all. A near-gibberish

signal coming from anywhere will make anyone curious about investigating.

  • @MyDougt What book? Was this book written before or after the movie?

  • @MyDougt I read the book also, and that scene was in the book. I remember the book saying that after hearing the transmission, everyone (Except of course Ash) had a shiver.

after reading the book, then seeing the movie, I was disappointed they left this scene out.

  • Sounds like a techno station. Thump thump thump thump . . .

  • Someone needs to play a practical joke on SETI, using this clip

  • DAMIT I WAS GONNA WRITE A SCRIPT ABOUT IT!

  • promtheus is no longer going to be an aliens prequel, its just set in the same universe, itll have facehuggers, thats all from the aliens movies

  • @airfaith :c

  • @airfaith nope it has the xenomorph at adult stages as well. It is going to tie them into the big picture.

  • I hope the Jockeys aren't total assholes like predators are

  • @seminoleboy96 predators are awsome!

  • @300spartansrule judging by ur name you also like the queer spartans? Guess what the greeks were gay especially spartans. Not to mention Predators are terrible hunters. They have tech that is so overpowered its not funny. That is like me taking an ak and shooting a barrel full of fish. Aliens kill out of instinct and out of need to. Predators kill because eather hunting gets them horny or they have small dicks and need to have pride in themselves

  • @seminoleboy96 jeez man all i said was predators are cool there's no reason to be mean

  • @300spartansrule sorry those two movie creatures piss me off the most (yes spartans are creatures not men). They threw babies off of cliffs and practiced eugenics.

  • @seminoleboy96 yes spartan culture strikes everyone as insanely cruel to this day the very soldiers that were the most feared and respected in the world brought the great city state to an end. and no offence to you but i really like predators

  • @300spartansrule How could you like predators? there is no skill involved with them, colonial marines would kill them easily let alone jockeys. Also yes Spartans were evil yet we show them as saviors in 300. If anything the persians were heroes, they had a man truly deserving the title 'great'... Cyrus was twice the man alexander was

  • @seminoleboy96 well predators are simply awsome they are mysterious very little is known about their lifestyle how they raise their young it's brilliant. well the Spartans had great honor xerxes would have gladly killed thousands of his men for victory however a spartan king like Leonidas would die for anyone of his men, and that's what he did he held the pass and told the rest of the Greek army to go home him and the Spartans and the rest of the Greeks made the ultimate sacrifice

  • @300spartansrule I don't call throwing babies off of cliffs honorable or raping women (which they did). They had a ritual where before marriage the wife would be dressed as a man and then the husband would tie her to a bed and rape her. anyway Leonidas married his own niece and don't forget that the spartans only contributed 300 men and that not only spartans sacrificed themselves. Anyway all of Greece was full of disgusting people. Nothing is none about space jockeys?

  • @seminoleboy96 Nobody gives a fuck about your stance on spartans or predators or anything else for that matter. What's immature is you starting drama on the internet over some guy stating how he thinks predators are awesome. You should also go back to elementary school what the hell is "Nothing is none about space jockeys"? Was that supposed to be a question?

  • @Ta2punk870569 nothing is known about space jockeys? please go fuck urself. youtube was designed for fights

  • @seminoleboy96 "nothing is none about space jockeys" haha go back to grammar school you uneducated fuck

  • @seminoleboy96 considering they were into terraforming and were also the supposed "creators" of the xenomorphs is say that is very likely. You would know that if you knew anything about the movie Alien

  • Um... 'canon' doesn't quite mean what I think you think it means...

  • decepticons

  • The first movie was awful. I couldn't hear their mumbling even with the TV volume all the way up, and it randomly jumped to different scenes. The second movie is best.

  • @captainmorgan254 what do you mean? the movie has been regarded as a classic.

  • @daveibukun I'm just saying that the entire movie was just a bunch of mumbling and idiots getting killed. I could barely make out what they were saying, and its not the brand new TV or my ears.

  • I actually prefer this cut to the one that was used in the directors cut

  • "Is this thing on?? Oh look, a facehug--"

    *transmission terminated*

  • This transmission sounds more creepy then the directors cut one..

  • Ok, so i've heard sumours that the Space Jockeys of the original Alien films are actually referred to as 'engineers' - and that they are the ones responsible for creating the race of xenomorphs in Alien and that they use them as weapons against planets that they wish to take over. There's a site somewhere that breaks down the trailer for Prometheus scene by scene with a supposed leak of info and apparently there's evidence that the Aliens actually mutated from humans originally.

  • @ruideng111

Ridley's always reffered to them as engineers and so has Hr Giger. i saw that site and the leaked plot synopsis but i dont think the plot synopsis is accurate, just some guy watched the leaked trailer a month back and made up his own idea. ridley made all cast and crew sign a legal gagging order meaning they'd be sued if they revealed anything about the plot.

  • @ruideng111 where is the site lol it sounds very interesting..I'm a sucker for the aliens universe (not the avp movies just the alien movies) you know the alien comics are cool but i consider them to be cannon and not official storyline.

  • its supposed to be a warning from the space jockey before it died telling nearby ships not to land on lv-426

  • Oh the infamous transmission that will be explained on 6/8/12

  • @Azieru82 read the comics of Aliens:Earth War. It explains that the space jockey sent out a transmission, a warning if you will, to anyone who comes near not to land on LV-426 because of the xenos. funnily enough, they figure this out AFTER Aliens so ripley has to go back on the planet and re-nuke it (i think, i skimmed through it) if you want to read them then download comic rack and use something like piratebay to download the files.

  • @rehzon what you say is true Leonidas was bisexual as were most men in ancient Greece and from what I've read in my history books Leonidas took six thousand Spartans but on the third day he sent almost all of them home why the 300 and some two thousand free Greeks stayed to buy them some time so if it wasn't for them all Europe would probably be speaking Persian.

  • Comment removed

  • i think tht the transmission is the one tht noomi rapace's charecter will leave in prometheus

  • @dannydollarfan1 fuck yeah, you might be right, but prometheus might be a sequel to alien as well but in different universe, basically, when all members of nostromo evacuated with cain and facehugger on his face from lv 426, they left that place untouched with no mark of their presence so story of prometheus might continue after events of "alien"

  • "WWAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP :P "

  • Thanks very much for this, it really is chilling. Is this outtake on the blu-ray? I have the 'tin box' edition dvd and the 'Quadrilogy'. Just wondering if this section is those anyone?

  • i am fascinated by the space jockey i wanted to see a live 1 in the next ridley scott film but he fucked it up makin it non canon to alien

  • @Nosaj990 Actually it is canon. The last 8 minutes of the film are supposed to be super related to Alien.

  • @Nosaj990

which part don't you understand about same universe. He said it was 30 years before alien and in the same continuity. Hell, it has the god-damn space jockies for crying out loud. How is it not canon?

  • @yomamasofat1000 ok so is it canon or not. I don't think it's canon if it is part of the main series...it's a prequeal to the first movie so therefore it's not canon. AVP (god awful movies) I consider canon

  • @Honorharringtonfan

It is. I don;t see why you think AVP is canon and Prometheus isn't. AVP is technically a prequel to the first one, so shouldn't it be noncanon? And if it's connected to Alien, then it's canon. There's no way it can't be.

  • I would shit myself

  • @codafett I think a few of them did.

  • For those unaware the Nostromo crew did have weapons. Dallas specifically says, "Better break out the weapons." approx 20m 8s into the original film. Later they did not use them because of the critters acid blood and you don't exacty fire what were presumably guns in a space ship. Decompression and ricochets are bad. So they rigged less catastrpohic weapons thinking (initially) they were hunting a small critter. That's why they were trying to space the critter instead of shoot it.

  • the directors cut is shorter than the original film-i wanted it to be LONGER with more scenes of the nostromo and the refinery...and yes-they made the warning almost silent-this film made a great imprint on me. I was at the world premier at the Seattle film festival-i was shown the day before general release-it played for months-was dropped THEN BROUGHT BACK for a few more weeks run

  • @2eyesofhorus Lucky you. Alive to see the original movies AND their crappy ass remakes, reimaginings and spinoffs.

  • This scene was later re-inserted in the "directors cut" but they changed the transmission voice to something that sounded like a constipated squirrel. Why they didint use this sound audio instead is anybodys guess...

  • notice how ash keeps quiet the whole time. doesnt even pretend to be surprised.

  • @Zatzzo that is a really cool examination. He already knows much more then we ever do.

  • why the hell didnt they use that. that would have been so creepy for the film

  • Very ominous, but would have taken away a little of the space jockey shock

  • huh it sound like the zerg :D

  • I've got this on the special DVD. listen to it with your volume up as loud as u can stand it. it sent shivers down my spine.

  • Maybe, the space jockey could be the main threat in Prometheus. This creatures are mysterious and creepy enough to make us forget about the xenos (for a while)

  • Wish they had left that scene in the movie!

  • "Hello, is this Pizza Castle?"

  • @SnowballPlanet Do they have deep dish out there? Or is that still only in Chicago?

  • Space jockey: finally its been FOREVER since someones come to my chatroom, hey brb gonna find out whats in this egg thing.

  • this movie scares me. jesus.

  • Frickin zerg lurker on that radio.

  • Bilbo Baggins is a damn scary Android there :x

  • RIDLEY SCOTT;S new alien film is not a prequel FOOLS, it is its own film! anyways, I HAVE a friend who claims, they have translated the MESSAGE... WE ALL KNOW predators of their own language.. so yah... as for the next ALIEN film... Wont happen unless GIEGER is involved too. the alien creature is soo intense, its females dont need MATING... pure intensity, with amazing IQ, and stealth hunting tactics.

  • @ThePOKERJEDI Not to be the bearer of bad news but Scott explained at Comicon that the Prometheus movie is connected to the original "Alien," and that the genesis of the whole story was the idea of answering the question "Who the hell was the space jockey (from the original movie)?" So technically, you can consider this a prequel to "Alien," although it doesn't sound like there's a whole lot else to connect the two, from what Scott's said so far.

  • Love the pace of Alien. Whatever happened to such quality? The last Star Trek movie looked like it was filmed by someone with ADD, diarrhea and a meth pipe. Alien is beauty, and art. Prometheus should be no less.

  • it sounds like the predator in the avp3 game

  • after hearing this, i don't know which species is creepiest

  • this true original version of the audio distress signal was / is fare MORE befitting

of the space jockey's look / vibe than the generic echo-style signal that was used

for the ALIEN "directors" cut a few years back. why they chose to edit out this

original audio - and replace it with that other lame audio will puzzle me for a

long long time. glad to see there is a clip like this to view. thanx for posting it!

  • @shardy70

Agreed, I wish this scene had been used in the DC, very eerie yet keeps the mystery of the space jockey. Alien is my all time no1 film and I even feel this scene would have worked perfectly in the theatrical cut.

  • @sdpearson888 yes, i could not agree with you more,

not only about the how great this edit would have worked

in the theatrical release, but about your ALIEN film praises!

so, yes, yes, and yes! =0)

  • @sdpearson888

Yeah, it's a good scene. I love Alien, but the first half in particular is magnificent, a genuinely believable feeling of approaching something ancient and eerie never before encountered by man.

  • @KaitainCPS This. Movies nowadays are not like that anymore. It's 20 minutes of film just building speculation and suspense before seeing some weird shit. It really keeps your imagination going.

The first time they got to see the derelict spacecraft I was as "WTF?!?" as them.

  • The alien transmission was created by Ben Burtt, noted sound designer for Star Wars, ET, Indiana Jones, Wall-E, etc.

  • @UncleFeedle Ben Burtt is a genius! \8-D

I remember watching an interview where he explained how he collects sound data. He's like the MacGuyver of sound designers. Or the John Williams of sound designers. And hey! Sigourney Weaver was also involved in 'WALL•E'! If WALL•E, himself, had been voiced by a humyn, I imagine he could have been voiced by Michael Biehn. That would have tied most of the Aliens people together perfectly.

  • @UncleFeedle I wanna know how Burtt made those sounds.

  • A planetoid with a 1200 km diameter, with essentially a 2 hour rotation and 0.86 g? Its size is akin to 'Ceres' or 'Pluto' and almost an Earth 1g? It explains that it has an atmosphere.. but how does a body like that become so dense and spin so fast? Must be artificial?

  • @granddad2002 , maybe a ironore-planetiod or leed or even only gold

  • @exxalte I think a lot of 'space movies' are written by people who don't do real science. I enjoyed the movie, but I think you can have a field day on critical science points?

  • @granddad2002 . Yes me too. Saw it when it aired on cinema. But anyway scientist are discovering stranger things and I always appuled by their inability to see things in beforehand almost as if their scinecegoals was connected to their goals in life ,fame, name, money , honor so they dont propose stupid things or they fall off the sciencewagon.. so the guys who did the research on Alien did a good job

  • I have the Director's Cut and the Space Pilot message doesn't sound like that, I wish it did, it sounds so much better in this version

  • I don't know what you're all so excited about, that's just me phoning my mum.

  • I loved that scene, how cute he sent a warning signal.... too bad they did'nt realise that until it was to late!

  • I expect the prequel to be awesome. Those dead fat things we saw at the beginning of Alien 1 were the species who created the Xenomorphs to be a super-weapon...until it turned on them.

This transmission was probably a distress signal in their language.

  • @Soothfish yes, that is what you call the space jockey, and correct... it was a distress signal, the prequel will be badass, im just curious how its going to turn out because its gonna need terraformers, but they werent created until the 2nd movie. i want to read a script on this movie.

  • @Soothfish The prequel has been cancelled. :((((((((

  • @bullsnake70 no it hasnt they just called it Prometheus and I was told tht they r in the process or hve already built the space jockey room

  • @Basty135 But I've heard that it's an original movie and not about Alien. I'm pretty sure it's main focus is something else entirely.

  • @Basty135 Maybe I heard wrong

  • @bullsnake70 maybe so we still have yet to see until they release anything from screenshots to a clip of the set we wont know till the movie comes out.

  • @bullsnake70

Thanks Christ for that! Given the all-overwhelming crappiness of all the Alien movies other than the first two* you can guarantee any "prequel" would be complete pants.

*Honestly, after "Aliens" how could Hollywood completely fuck up a sequel and gives us the dismal shite that was Alien 3 (and Alien Resurrection? - best not to go there).

Like Predator and Terminator, sad to say the whole thing has been done to death and it's time to give it a rest.

  • @redcardinalist But it's Ridley Scott. He's directed some badass movies. Alien 3 and Resurrection were directed by people who aren't exactly known for their directing prowess except for David Fincher who has done a couple of good ones, but back in the 90's he wasn't all that experienced. I just thought that maybe it would be neat to see how the aliens were created and all. I think Scott could pull it off, but whatever, man. I don't understand why everyone is so pessimistic.

  • @bullsnake70

I agree with you about Ridelay Scott. :) However, I'd be more concerned about the script...

Personally, I don't see how any prequel showing the origins of the Alien species is going to feature humans?

  • @redcardinalist You know, I was thinking the EXACT same thing about how humans would fit in. I don't know, they'd have to come up with something crazy.

  • you wanna bet it's the predators. lol

  • Hmm...

    Ramirez, restock those turrets!

    But sir, there are xenos...

    (Gun cocking)

    Do it Ramirez...

  • if i heard that i would pee in my pants

  • Oh, lovely. The mormon tabernacle choir's annual obscene phone call. :D

  • Good movie, but in the ending, why didn't they check the landing gear for an alien. Just sayin

  • Sounds like predators

  • I wouldn't say this is a deleted scene, it was on the original release, it wa changed later

  • Alien translation: "Yes I would like to order a large pie... with pepperoni and a root beer, yes...NO DAMMIT I DON'T WANT A FREE TOY...WOMAN JUST GET ME MY PIZZA!"

  • @beastlysword so thats how the aliens began attacking us. i told them not to get it from jets but did they hear no

  • @beastlysword ROFL!!!!

  • @beastlysword ROFL

  • I thought that the ship might have something to do with the Predators but Ridley Scott (who promised us an Alien prequel but then cheated out on us, lying bastard) said that while he was developing the prequel said the space jockey was really a human in a space suit. But now we'll never know for sure and Scott doesn't want to know what I want to do to him.

  • @beastlysword I can guarantee you that Ridley Scott would never make any crossover garbage such as the AVP movies. Thank fuk he rescued something of the franchise from Fox before they completed their unimaginative little circle and linked the AVP universe back to the original Alien which would have been a travesty and a very uninspired one at that.

  • A+VID(Alien1979) Ridley Scott + John Hurt + and a score by Jerry Goldsmith performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra = the most horrific film made. The best film made. I still have Nightmares about being on the Nostromo. You can not copy this movie or chop it up (but they try). It's art. I'm a fan of the age where real movies were made. (the 26 thumbs down belong to Shia LaBeouf fans...may you live forever) P.S. you still have to see James Cameron's Aliens AND John Carpenter's the Thing.

  • how will they butcher this series more

  • they should have kept this in pretty creepy lol one thing for sure if i heard that i would'nt have landed there no chance!

  • lol guys that's the space Jockey's transmission warning that the aliens are dangerous and to stay away. the space jockey is the skeleton on the chair when they go to it on the planet. If I am correct the space jockey used the Xenomorphs as a weapon against their enemies. i could be wrong

  • This might be a warning transmission from the Xenomorphs. I says,"Humans. Beware when you arrive at our planet. Beware you'll be dead. We'll kill all human life unless someone stops us. ROAR!!!!!!!

  • Good thing to know the Alien home world is 1,200 kilometers in diameter. Oh wait, AvP already killed the franchise...

  • @gasfgiop AVP was crap since the very conception of the guy who conceived the idea.

  • @gasfgiop Phew, 1200km? That made a BIG difference to Ripley when she was surrounded by the xenos on the planet!

  • Ladies, please, can we stick to commenting on the movie. And while you're at it, don't forget to remove your heads from your uptight asses.

  • Just to sum up this scene:

-"We've got a transmission from something with a narly scary voice coming from that dark and mysterious deserted planet....Let's go check it out guys!"

  • @FunkyFrank10 NO! -NEG ON THE CHECK OUT...CAN WE GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE.

  • @FunkyFrank10 this scene was deleted, beacuse there should be no sounds coming from. The aliens were still eggs.

  • @FunkyFrank10 Well it's not like "Let's go check it out guys!". It's like we have to check it out, or it was over a year in space for nothing - no money. :)

  • @FunkyFrank10 right LMAO!

  • @FunkyFrank10 it wasn't their own decision to land on the planet, but Weyland-Yutani's.

  • -"We've got a transmission from something with a narly scary voice coming from that dark and mysterious deserted planet....Let's go check it out guys!"

  • Its the space jokey!!!!!!!! who else agrees!

  • Ash already knew what it was because the company told him.

  • You learn not only to control the adrenalin, but how to manipulate it to block out pain, fatigue, and speed up reflexes. The best fighters out there are the ones who are able to unite training with instinct, so that they are able to throw punchs and maneuver without thinking.

But yeah, people who don't study martial arts or aren't part of gang/fighting culture have no clue how dangerous (and surreal) such situations can be.

  • How the alien prequel will work is a cargo ship picks up the signal they go and land and investigate get killed but forward the intel to the company then with the original alien film they were used as bait to go back there and bring the alien on to the ship so that it could be captured.ash the droid is totally aware of the situation and was only there to make sure that it all went as planned.god i love the alien films atleast the first 2 i cant wait for the prequels and thank god ridley scott

  • (static).....wehahwehiuhah ewuhaweihooah ekoowakwoo ekoowakwoo......(static)

  • @MrQuasarQuark

    Fuckin ewoks set them up!

  • Maybe that's space jockeys that are sending a warning?

  • Btw, why is there an argument about Aliens (the second movie) on a video of the first movie?

  • Thumbs up, if you want to bet were going hear that transmission 'noise' in the Alien prequel coming soon.

  • The message would suppost to be from Space Jockey himself sending them a warning to stay away from planet.
