Even my ex, who found it impossible to say anything good about me, told people I didn't have the mood issues a lot of gals have.
wow...the amount of misinformation u r spreading is almost unreal. If a person is depressed on low fat, it is cuz they are NOT eating enough calories. Its more the opposite, carbs provide glucose and that fuels the brain and LIFTS mood.. If u were depressed, it was likely that u were undereating good carbs. Had u been full of fruits and good starches, depression would not arise...couple that was some exercise and you'd be euphoric.
@athletichunta Yeah, dumbass, because he had leukemia from having radiation when he was younger (another great myth that dr.s convinced people was good for them). When he took chemo for leukemia, he got so sick and in so much pain, he killed himself. The autopsy showed his coronary arteries were perfectly clean, after 30 years of eating "his" way. He had been diagnosed in with heart disease in 1950's, so it sounds like his diet was pretty good.
@athletichunta U don't even have the facts right. He was not at all depressed. He was super cheerful, optimistic and productive as hell. He unfortunately did kill himself cuz he was in the hospital and the leukemia treatments were making him worse and due to the physical pain and the hopeless diagnosis he ended it @ the hospital. That dude was a genius and a hero to many. He also brightened countless lives with the healings that took place with his guidance.

Look at the dark under Sean Croxton's eyes. That indicates adrenal and renal exhaustion. Usually this is hard to see on people with dark skin but Sean's obvious condition makes it easy to spot.
Eating a diet based on animal products introduces excess amounts of the animal's metabolic waste products like uric acid, cholesterol, lymph, blood etc.
Sean is wrong about the eskimo's. They were an extremely violent culture when first discovered.
Vicky2c, those are just vegetarian myths. Sean is fine.
Check out the Oxford University study on vitamin B-12. With folks in the non-meat eating group, their brains shrank 1.05 % a year! The smallest brain in the meat eating group was larger than the largest brain in the non-meat eating group.
We need animal fats to build and maintain the structure of our brains. Compared to our body size, we have the largest brains of any animal on earth. If you're a vegetarian, your brain is shrinking.
bro i agree with you fully with respect to eating animals, but to day animals farming is much different from years ago. Take cows, they are often dosed with bovine growth hormone (BGH) and other chemicals, which contributes to a painful inflammation of the udder known as "mastitis." (BGH is used widely in the U.S. but has been banned in Europe and Canada because of concerns over human health and animal welfare.) We are also having lots of allergic reaction to these animals.
Depression comes from thought patterns, dont have to do with fat. I been on low to almost no fat before and didnt get depressed at all. Depression is when you allow thoughts in your head to control you - you start to follow those thoughts, which makes them accumulate, and then which influences your feelings and emotions stronger and stronger. You will be able to see this if you are self honest to yourself.
Low fat diet + high blood sugar = depression and obesity.
Low fat diets cause the body to think it's starving for fats so it stores all the fats you ingest. People with low fat diets will often eat more carbos and starches so their blood sugar is also too high all the time. This leads to the constant storage of what little fat you are getting and the brain is also starved of fats at the same time .
I also use to have really bad skin and through eating healthy traditional fats( coconut oil, butter, olive oil, avocado, lard, chicken) my skin is awesome! I hardly ever break out in a pimple. I also take Evening Primrose Oil for the GLA. I take 1TBSP of Carlson Cod Liver oil a day. I use to eat vegan and I developed 4 cavities from it. Changed my diet up and basically reversed it all. Now there is like no sensitive spots in my teeth anymore. I sleep better too! Junk Foods=Junk Moods! Peace :D
I love fat Sean! I drink about 2 gallons of raw-grass fed jersey milk from an amish farmer a week. I eat raw cheeses. I eat full fat yogurt. I eat whole eggs from free range chickens on small local farms. I eat raw grass-fed butter! I have had half sticks of butter with my meals before. I eat bacon from grassland beef. I eat chicken with the skin. I consume coconut oil. I love avocado blueberry smoothies. I feel freeking amazing lol! Plus I use to be really skinny and weak. Now I am strong.
@thegradschooldropout Our bodies have not adapted to a low-carb diet. Low-carb dieters usually Yo-yo back to being fat cause they fall off the low-carb wagon(and eat junk food - not fruit). They fall off because converting fat to carbs is iniffecient.
And anti-carb talk is propaganda just to sell a diet. Like this vid, the title is false. Most people are Depressed & Anxious; and most of them eat a lot of fat.
Actually, it has been noted that when white button mushrooms are exposed to the sun, they become pretty good sources of vitamin D and there are a quite a number of plant foods that are loaded with beta carotenes which are precursors to Vitamin A which is the safest way to take in vitamin A without the risk of toxicity. The only vitamin I'd be concerned about getting enough of on a plant based diet is vitamin B12 which originates from a certain bacteria.
Wow, alot of uninformed ppl out there. I tremble when I think of the stae of your health. Keep up the good work Sean. People you gotta read or you gonna die, its that simple.

Hey Sean, i dont get much meat in my diet, but i do supplement with Jillians all natural whey protein. Will this make up for my otherwise protein poor diet?
I think there is a lot of truth in what you advocate, as well as others who have done the research and done plenty of studies such as Gary Taubes and Dr. Mercola, but what about metabolic typing?, i reasonably believe there isn't ONE diet for everyone. People react differently to foods, and the point and question i'm getting at is do you think it could ever be the other way around with this. Couldn't a high fat and low carb diet potentially be insufficient for a person? I'm just curious. Thanks.
I'm west african and we cook solely with palm kernel oil and it is saturated fat. I became depressed after i moved to canada and tried cutting it out in favor of olive oil. I feel better with saturated fats in my diet. LOVE coconut oil.
I think different 'diets' work for different people who live at different ends of this planet. People need to experiment to find what's perfect for them be it high carb, high carb or high protein. For me, it's high animal protein, fairly low carb and loads of fiber from beans and vegetables. Took me 24 years to get to this point.
@VelvetHoneyBlossom depression is not about life circumstances, genius. it is a chemical imbalance caused by what you are putting into your body which can be amplified by a genetic predisposition. please punch yourself in the face repeatedly.
@DamonSin Not true. Forms of depression and other psychological issues are based on predisposition AND life circumstances. Please kick yourself in the teeth, repeatedly.
@DamonSin Nope, sure haven't. You mean where their bodies are in survival mode and have chronic-persistent hunger? Or where they are impoverished to the point of making every day sacrifices? I think you need to differentiate REAL depression and mental illness with diet related onset depression. Is schizophrenia, bipolar, borderline PD, PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder- caused by poor diet? Hell no. Diet related? Perhaps. (omega 3 def. ,etc) Sorry, fruits and veggies don't cure everything.
@DamonSin So all depression is caused by diet? Please kill yourself repeatedly, if possible. What the fuck are you a scientologist? moronic statement
@MerkabaStar that's exactly what i said. or maybe you just don't know how to read. you probably have a degree in sniffing glue which makes you a credible source for arguing with people on this. suck a cock.
@DamonSin Yep then you are a moron who doesn't know shit. And you can talk all the shit on here that you won't but you can't provide any double blind studies to prove anything. I actually have two degrees and Two licenses(no not driving licenses) in my state. What do you have? nothing I'm sure.
@DamonSin And you have a degree in talking non scientifically backed bullshit on an internet site. You obviously don't know shit...probably read a couple of websites and think you know something! hahaha.... lame. Go play some shooter game on psII or something...(yes I said psII because you're that lame) ahhaha....
@Waterjello no in business and physiology from one of the best Private Schools in the southeast who's tuition probably costs more than your house, or your moms house since you probably don't have a house yet! What degrees do you have?
@macrick it is a bio/psycho/social combination. the chemical part of it is more or less a genetic predisposition that can be amplified by the other two. things that you put in your body exacerbate the situation.
@kerushi1310 Vitamin D can be produced by the skin from sunlight. Carotenoids like beta-carotene (found for example in carrots and sweet potatoes) can be converted by the body into vitamin A.
@kerushi1310 I've read that when mushrooms, usually white button mushrooms, were exposed to sunlight, they actually became reasonably good sources of vitamin D. You can also get your local grower or grocer to get vitamin D enhanced mushrooms.
how do you make sure that are bodys are burning fat for energy and not buring muscle for energy. .So the question is how do you make or trick you body into burning your fat as energy and not burning up your muscle for energy
@Njderig I hope you know that there are people who eat meat that can't bench their bodyweight for one rep right? This constant need to down others because they aren't like you needs to stop. By the way (though I don't think it'll stop anyone from shooting the reply I expect my way), I eat meat. I've been eating meat since I was a child and I love it.
I don't eat a lot of saturated fat either, but I'm happy. I have some eggs and swiss cheese every so often. Knowing this however, I might start adding more of it back into my diet.
I know what you mean about saturated fats! Whenever I try to avoid healthy fats I notice my whole body seems to kind of shut down, but when I add some ice cream into my protein shake (milk, protein, a banana, all natural ice cream, etc) and use a little more butter when I cook I feel better in general. Peace out
Society for the most part is brainwashed to parrot the party-line and follow the herd.
There is absolutely NO science on the issue of fat & cholesterol consumption causing harm to us.
Only the religious extremists of Ancel Keys' Religion made up this nonsense for their own personal profit, which spawned into the capitalistic marketing of low fat products to brain-dead moronic consumers!
taught me a lot about nutrition but they also taught me a lot about life in general and helped provide me with guidance when I didn't know in what direction I wanted to go in life. Now I can't watch those videos and get that sagely advice anymore =/
Sean! I haven't watched this video yet but I need to ask, why did you delete all your old videos?? I was just going through my Favorites list and all the videos of yours I had in there (your videos comprised at least half of my Favorites list) don't play when I click on them! It says you deleted your account. And I went to your channel & the other commenters from other videos are right, no videos older than a month or two are there. I Favorited a lot of your old videos not only because they
@goofyreligion3 Everything I've read on NAET reinforces the idea that its very, very expensive. I really don't have the money for something like this...
What is your HDL, triglycerides, A!C and other tests that predict long-term health? There are plenty of people eating tons of fat who feel great and unanimously have better blood tests than people who eat mostly carbs.
Low amount of fats in my diet might be making me depressed, but even some fats in my diet make the psoriasis and acne I have flare up and go crazy. I don't know what your solution to this would be, sean, but as far as I can see, there isn't one. If you don't have skin issues related to fat consumption, fat consumption is probably a good thing. But if you do...
@futoncat Hey futoncat if you wanna cure acne you have to make sure to take probioticpowder, drink alot of water,no processed food, eat meat, a lot of vegetables. the most important about the fats is they have to be saturated fat and RAW ! And avoid processed sugar. good luck
Our body produces cholesterol. We don't need to eat it.
I feel much better consuming no overt fats but eating high carbs, either cooked complex carb's or fruit, with plenty of greens. I very rarely eat any animal products. The past few months, I've been training at the gym and I'm coming on in leaps and bounds with building muscle and strength. The whole food plants have more than enough protein for all my needs. I'm much stronger eating mainly plants then when I eat animal products.
Interestingly enough...those doctors that studied the indegenous peoples saw a parallel between diet and lack of depression. I wonder though, if their way of living with less stress and material possessions played a role, too?
i am a little off on this like i dont eat no grass fed meat or all that kinda stuff im on a normal body building diet high protein high carbs n calories and i never feel depressed not only that i havent been sick for about 9 years i sleep great at night never tired during the day so i dont know what this video is all about
that's exactly what i do (nuts, avocados, oils...)
some months ago i started to cut out meat out of my diet and i've never felt any better. once or twice a week i do eat fish though but that's about it.
@luloops you need animal protein and fat, get creative, find a way you can conceal some in a recipe without it really feeling like you're eating meat, and build it up over time...ultimately you need to get past the psychology of thinking you hate meat. But yes, eggs including the yolks, and fish (preferably organic due to the mercury, if not only once a week or so).
@TheDistilledMan My taste buds can taste meat. I will not eat it.(No psychology there) I really hate the taste. I haven't eaten a steak in over 20 years and I don't miss it. I do eat eggs and Wild Salmon at least once a week.
This is usually the reason I give up on my diets. I get bad anxiety whenever I'm dieting. I usually also get vision problems and dizziness which adds to the anxiety. It always goes away as soon as I start eating some junk again, lol... vicious cycle.
@milybelle8118 Find a CHEK practitioner, someone like Sean, and tell them what you just typed. Several of those things you said are signs of things I'm not qualified to talk about, but could be of concern. Be aware that junk contains no nutrition, so you can be both fat and malnourished at the same time, surprisingly. Your description sounds like blood sugar issues, food addiction, insufficient calories when dieting, dehydration...etc. Don't panic, but take control and seek advice my dear.
Great videos dude. I'm a 32 yrs. old diabetic with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I have battled depression for years. Losing weight for me is hard, but videos like this gives me hope. Don't leave YouTube for the big time. We need ya bro.
Ever since my teens, I've eaten a low-fat, high carb diet - it's just the way I choose to eat - didn't search for any particular diet and choose that, I just prefer fruits, vegetables and starch. @MerkabaStar the only degree you have is in being a big faggot, licensed in retardation.
DamonSin 11 months ago
@DamonSin And you have a degree in talking non scientifically backed bullshit on an internet site. You obviously don't know shit...probably read a couple of websites and think you know something! hahaha.... lame. Go play some shooter game on psII or something...(yes I said psII because you're that lame) ahhaha....

@MerkabaStar Degrees in art from an online university?
Waterjello 11 months ago
@Waterjello no in business and physiology from one of the best Private Schools in the southeast who's tuition probably costs more than your house, or your moms house since you probably don't have a house yet! What degrees do you have?
MerkabaStar 11 months ago
@DamonSin I think it's a combination of both. Then again, am not a scientist. Just sharing my opinion.
macrick 1 year ago
@macrick it is a bio/psycho/social combination. the chemical part of it is more or less a genetic predisposition that can be amplified by the other two. things that you put in your body exacerbate the situation.

is there another way to get vitamin D & A other than getting it from animals? XD hehe
kerushi1310 1 year ago
@kerushi1310 Vitamin D can be produced by the skin from sunlight. Carotenoids like beta-carotene (found for example in carrots and sweet potatoes) can be converted by the body into vitamin A.
Am4d3usM0z4rt 1 year ago
@kerushi1310 I've read that when mushrooms, usually white button mushrooms, were exposed to sunlight, they actually became reasonably good sources of vitamin D. You can also get your local grower or grocer to get vitamin D enhanced mushrooms.

Five frail vegans who probably cant bench press their own bodyweight for one rep thumbed this down.
Njderig 1 year ago
@Njderig I hope you know that there are people who eat meat that can't bench their bodyweight for one rep right? This constant need to down others because they aren't like you needs to stop. By the way (though I don't think it'll stop anyone from shooting the reply I expect my way), I eat meat. I've been eating meat since I was a child and I love it.

@Njderig I am surprised that they have the energy to do so XD

I don't eat a lot of saturated fat either, but I'm happy. I have some eggs and swiss cheese every so often. Knowing this however, I might start adding more of it back into my diet.

Do you hv a resource for meal plans/food that you'd recommend

The low fat dietary plan is not only low on fat, it is actually low on facts.
alphacause 1 year ago
I know what you mean about saturated fats! Whenever I try to avoid healthy fats I notice my whole body seems to kind of shut down, but when I add some ice cream into my protein shake (milk, protein, a banana, all natural ice cream, etc) and use a little more butter when I cook I feel better in general. Peace out

Excellent video!!

@SamIsATotalBeast Thats cus most of the unhealthy foods have fat lol =)

@Cyanoctane Exactly. And fats supposed to make me happy. But a healthy diet is what really makes me happy. Along with the things I do in my life.

What is your HDL, triglycerides, A!C and other tests that predict long-term health? There are plenty of people eating tons of fat who feel great and unanimously have better blood tests than people who eat mostly carbs.
StabbyRaccoon 1 year ago
@BeatBay
It's like with smoking. Most smokers never get lung cancer. Still it's not advisable.

But if you do...
futoncat 1 year ago
@futoncat Hey futoncat if you wanna cure acne you have to make sure to take probioticpowder, drink alot of water,no processed food, eat meat, a lot of vegetables. the most important about the fats is they have to be saturated fat and RAW ! And avoid processed sugar. good luck
Sw3gg4 1 year ago
Thanks for all your info about food and related mood. We think we're being "healthy" by not eating too much fat but seems to be a misconception!
Janetmouse 1 year ago
Our body produces cholesterol. We don't need to eat it.
I feel much better consuming no overt fats but eating high carbs, either cooked complex carb's or fruit, with plenty of greens. I very rarely eat any animal products. The past few months, I've been training at the gym and I'm coming on in leaps and bounds with building muscle and strength. The whole food plants have more than enough protein for all my needs. I'm much stronger eating mainly plants then when I eat animal products.

Interestingly enough...those doctors that studied the indegenous peoples saw a parallel between diet and lack of depression. I wonder though, if their way of living with less stress and material possessions played a role, too?
skeletonmom 1 year ago
Thank God for Sean. Really changed what I eat. I have to eat high-protein and high-fat, or I won't feel well for the rest of the day.

So what do you do if you hate meat? Do you eat eggs, yolks and all.....nuts, avocados.?
luloops 1 year ago
@luloops
that's exactly what i do (nuts, avocados, oils...)
some months ago i started to cut out meat out of my diet and i've never felt any better. once or twice a week i do eat fish though but that's about it.
LydiaDesDolls 1 year ago
@luloops you need animal protein and fat, get creative, find a way you can conceal some in a recipe without it really feeling like you're eating meat, and build it up over time...ultimately you need to get past the psychology of thinking you hate meat. But yes, eggs including the yolks, and fish (preferably organic due to the mercury, if not only once a week or so).
TheDistilledMan 1 year ago
@TheDistilledMan My taste buds can taste meat. I will not eat it.(No psychology there) I really hate the taste. I haven't eaten a steak in over 20 years and I don't miss it. I do eat eggs and Wild Salmon at least once a week.

This is usually the reason I give up on my diets. I get bad anxiety whenever I'm dieting. I usually also get vision problems and dizziness which adds to the anxiety. It always goes away as soon as I start eating some junk again, lol... vicious cycle.
milybelle8118 1 year ago
@milybelle8118 Find a CHEK practitioner, someone like Sean, and tell them what you just typed. Several of those things you said are signs of things I'm not qualified to talk about, but could be of concern. Be aware that junk contains no nutrition, so you can be both fat and malnourished at the same time, surprisingly. Your description sounds like blood sugar issues, food addiction, insufficient calories when dieting, dehydration...etc. Don't panic, but take control and seek advice my dear.
