fifa done it but its so much crapper when u try to score it goas all shaky and diorientated pro evo so much better

it goes shaky for an effect,

its tryin 2 make it more excitin and difficult at the same time, also commentry goes a bit more quiet when ur running in on goal

and adding one more thing for people that think fifa is better, I threw it away out of my window and no1 even moved that double layer DVD of fifa2009 from its place.. hehe

the only great thing bout the game was, that I could laugh freakin loud bout the french commentary I chose, at every single pass my stomach hurt

people really like to fight for EA Sports and Konami ( also for the consoles: playstaion or nintendo or xbox), if u ask me.. it's a fight that both teams never will agree on a single thing, so people, stop trying to convince the other sumtin..

I have played all of the games, on playstation, xbox, xbox360, the pc, and ISS on supernintendow hen I was lil and also on nintendo 64 I've played Iss (soccer of konami)

Pes2009 for xbox360 is the best so far.. 2nd place is ISS64

In Asia, Konami released a 'Winning Eleven' game with 'Fantasia' mode years before 'Be A Pro' was introduced. Just because it wasn't implemented into a Western Konami game, doesn't mean Konami hadn't developed the idea previously.

Fantasia mode came out on the Winning Eleven 2007 game released in Asia.

Prior to this, there was a similar mode on ISS 2000.

EA brought out a Be a pro mode on Madden in 2007 so it wasnt really copied just found out at the same time, now they're bringing it into all their franchise NHL/Fifa/(Dunno bout NBA)

Originally, Namco brought out a game called Libero Grande in the 90s which was based on this concept. The trouble was, you only had the option to play as a single player, and there was no mode where you could use the entire team. This game didn't do very well in the Western market, which is probably why both FIFA and PES were so hesitant to bring out Be a Pro and Become a Legend respectively.

I remember playing the demo for libero grande years ago, and I thought it was awesome! Then a few years later began playing 'fixed' on pro evo 5 or 6, but become a legend is just superb...well it has a lot more potential than it is showing but it's a decent first effort!

Yeah, I think Become a Legend is very good. However, I think they need to allow you to level up your stats a bit more easily. At the current rate, I will be in my late 20s before I'm even comparable to the likes Jonathan Greening, Leon Osman etc - let alone the likes of Fabregas, Ronaldo et al! At this point, your stats begin to decline too I believe, so it seems almost impossible to make your guy good.

oh yeh for sure man exactly as you said above...my guy is a 'SS' but even though I'm getting 40 goal seasons and doing quite well, his development curve is only average at best, clearly pre-determined! I think konami will learn a lot, but could take a hint from games done by ea, for instance madden, the 'legend' mode in that was immense! Clearly they're not gonna release the complete game though! Would give them no way of selling us an improved one next year!! :D

Ha! That's a good point! For the last few years, PES hasn't improved that substantially. Perhaps this is there way of giving fans a reason to buy the new game.
