  • i'm interested in getting this for my studio but what about the outputs? i know i will need to mix every drum sound in pro tools. how many outputs do it have?

  • @BlackSoulent

    MIDI OUT Connector

Output Jacks (L (MONO), R) (Stereo 1/4 inch phone type).

Not that much unfortunately. I'm currently using Cubase with EasyDrummer and a MIDI-to-USB cable to record, and that works perfectly fine. You can easily mix it with a .mp3 file or something.

  • thanks for all your comments im so pleased now i just ordered hopefully nothing is wrong with it

  • can you make a half open hi hat sound?

  • Yep, you also have a pedal for your left foot to open and close the hi-hat.

  • i found the rubber sound of the set in general annoying, do you preamp what your playing, or mixing it?

  • Im not mixing anything at all :) It's connected to my guitar amp. So the Dosed song is played via the amp as well as my drumkit sounds :)

  • well i kick with ma heel down n use ma toes. does it make anydifference. Thanks alot though cuz i wanna get those so bad. Its hard for me to know how its like because every bestbuy around ma place only sells the hd1. n hd1 is too small n idk i dont like em. They make so much vibrations on the floor when you hit the cymbals

  • is there a guitar center near your house i know they sell em there

  • umm does this drums make alot of noise like when you hit the cymbal it makes alot of vibrations. DOes it make alot of vibration on the floor?, And whats the loudest part of the drums is it the kicking the rubber toms or the cymbals? I live in apartment 1st floor n i dont want to bug people downstairs. Can you tell me the vibration and the noise factor?

  • I think the noisiest part is the kick drum...cymbals are next, toms are pretty quiet...It kinda depends on the song you're playing, heavy metal songs will drive your neighbours insane but normal rock songs should be ok.

  • nice job man

  • maybe if you change sticks the noise will be less high

  • nC drumming for 4 months keep practicing :) n sweating with em xD well i have 2 Q i play drums 3 years now n i want ur opinion, well : is it capable with double bass? n can u add kit sounds with a MIDI?

  • Thanks mate! I don't really know about adding MIDI sounds, I think I've read something about that in the manual but I'm not sure. It's compatible with double bass :) I'm just not using it 'cause it'll ruin my single-foot speed.

  • nice drumming! ;)

One question..with this kit you can change the place of the module??

  • Nope you can't move the module unfortunatly :(

  • good drumming even tho it looked lyk a pretty easy song to play.

  • Thanks, but yeah, it's very easy...Though keep in mind I've only been drumming for 3 months right now, and 1 and a half when I recorded that video.

  • Hey. Nice drumming! :) Im considering buying this kit but when i tried it out in the shop i felt the module was a bit hidden by the toms and akward to reach to alter settings. Is there any way you can reposition the module?

  • Thanks man! I agree on the hidden part, sadly there's no way to reposition it, but you can easily reach all the buttons even though the toms are hanging right above it.

  • A bit off topic question, But how quiet/silent is the Roland TD4K? I'm considering buying this kit ( but live in an appartement and i like my neighbours ;-) ...)

  • Considering I've never played on another e-drumkit at home before (I've only tried some others at the store before I bought this kit), I'd say the rubber toms/cymbals are quite a bit softer than other kits I've tried, but this 'clack' noise is still there.

My bedroom is on the 2nd floor of our house and my parents still hear the kick and hi-hat hits downstairs.

To be really honest, there will always be that wood hitting on rubber noise, no matter what kit you buy, so it's really up to you.

  • Great job! Ive been playing for 3 years and i can only do a little better than that, KEEP IT UP :D

  • Considering you had only a few lessons that is really good!

    Keep practicing =]

  • Isn't this fun! I am doing covers of songs myself. I have found that plugging the L-Mono-Output jack from the TD-4K's computer directly into my laptops MIC-IN jack that the sound is really good. The music is then from the MP3 player directly into the TD-4K's MIX-IN.

  • Thanks for the heads up! I'll try it out some time!

  • You need to turn up the sound alittle. Well, it wasnt bad for a first time cover. Never give up the practice! :)

  • Thanks for the (first) comment :) I know about the sound, I'll turn the original track down a bit next time!
