It started with 3 players pounding on Sdao. After the 3 lancer players seperated after pounding on Sdao against the wall and grabbing somebody else to fight the only one that was left near Sdao was Thurber. Yes, Reekie deserved an ejection and suspension. All that Sdao was doing was trying to defend himself when it was 1-3 for about 30 seconds. Sdao had Thurbers arms pinned down and NOT 1 punch was thrown. Reekie was ejected and suspended and Congirl should have been 2.

That was more blatant than a typical spearing call. He hit a player that wasn't looking in the face with the butt-end of his stick for no reason. Novak was coming behind the net heading into the corner. I don't care what team it is, that was the cheapest shot I've ever seen. When that happens in the NHL, there is a multi-game suspension to curb that.

We did break Omahole's winning streak at the beginning of the season,remember that? 3. The average attendance for the USHL over the last 10 games:1,973 TC's last home game: 2,975. 4. Last but not least, linocln only has one more point then TC.
for starters, we could say that hudson is a pretty good fighter on your team, he's fought two of the stars players alone just in the 2007-2008 season, out of just 3 games. also, peltoma (sp?) is a pretty well known fighter, and last year you also had lucyk, so dont try saying that your team doesnt have its fair share of fighers.
I have quite a few friends that are from kearney, and when i talk to them about hockey, the tell me about how much they absoultely HATE the storm and wish the team would go to grand island.
Oh, and with lincoln fans going to the stars/storm game is probably because we know that even with our little number going out there, we can still drown out the tri-city fans, just like we can in omaha. Bring on New Years!
I went to a tri-city game once. It was horrible. They played music from the 80's and the only time they cheered was when they were TOLD to. The intro was lame, the announcer was horrific, and the price of food...don't get me started. Not to mention a lot of the fans don't know jack about hockey.

I dont think the people discussing this fight are watching games for just the fights. I have season seats for the Stars games, and fights arent guaranteed EVERY GAME. But I do know quite a few people who have gone to a game and witness a fight (not unlike this one) and become addicted to going to games! So to say that someone who goes to games just for a fight is a bit of an overstatement, since it is one of the few things that go on in hockey that really sets it apart from other sports.

I was at the game too, and I saw Conboy shake Crew way beyond what was respectful. Crew was down, and Conboy picked Crew up by his shoulders and tried to slam his head into the ice more than once. That is wrong. Plain and simple. Disrespectful. I know Conboy is just a kid, but come on.
What Conboy did was a cowardly move. I'm pretty sure Crew had no intention to fight Conboy. Sometimes hockey players aren't known for brains, I think Crew would have enough to stay out of a fight with Conboy.
As for the goalie fight, it looked like a pretty solid right that knocked Madolora down. Only thing that resembles a cheap shot was Madolora using his head to try and hit Reekie.

It started with 3 players pounding on Sdao. After the 3 lancer players seperated after pounding on Sdao against the wall and grabbing somebody else to fight the only one that was left near Sdao was Thurber. Yes, Reekie deserved an ejection and suspension. All that Sdao was doing was trying to defend himself when it was 1-3 for about 30 seconds. Sdao had Thurbers arms pinned down and NOT 1 punch was thrown. Reekie was ejected and suspended and Congirl should have been 2.

Obviously we're not arguing about Reekie spearing an Omaha player. He got the spearing penalty and NO ONE IS ARGUING ABOUT THAT. Although spearing is a severe action in hockey, it happens quite often. I'm sure you cant say that the lancers have no spearing calls on them this season or any other, so to point out reekie without condemning your own players, check the records.

Novak was coming behind the net heading into the corner. I don't care what team it is, that was the cheapest shot I've ever seen. 2) maybe you should check the status of the ushl standings again before commenting. lancers may be first but the stars are in 4th place in the western division. get it straight.
3) your lancers are losing whatever talent they had at the beginning of the year, and its definitely starting to show in their plays. when playoff time comes, im sure indiana will cream the lancers. Too bad 2nd place gets nothing.

Starlette goons at their best. Looks to me like the Omahole goalie sat and waited for Reekie to come after him, and sure enough, Starlettes don't disappoint. Reekie should have had a game ejection for the spearing, and two other majors to throw him out of a couple more games to boot. Scuffles happen with forwards and defensmen, it takes intent for goalies to go at it. Way to show intent Reekie. Can't wait to see you throw some of that crap around our arena. Stinkin Lincoln never disappoints.

Omaha/Lincoln is a true rivalry. Tri-City is the little kid on the block who desperately wants to play with the big boys. Their attendance has dropped, and the majority of folks out there just don't care about hockey any more. The novelty has worn off in TC. Sad, but true.

We did break Omahole's winning streak at the beginning of the season,remember that? 3. The average attendance for the USHL over the last 10 games:1,973 TC's last home game: 2,975. 4. Last but not least, linocln only has one more point then TC.

1. Lincoln is 2-1 against TC this season. Most recently, a 6-0 drubbing in Lincoln. Ouch.
2. Attendance in TC has declined EVERY year since 2002-03. It's not getting any better.

for starters, we could say that hudson is a pretty good fighter on your team, he's fought two of the stars players alone just in the 2007-2008 season, out of just 3 games. also, peltoma (sp?) is a pretty well known fighter, and last year you also had lucyk, so dont try saying that your team doesnt have its fair share of fighers.

I have quite a few friends that are from kearney, and when i talk to them about hockey, the tell me about how much they absoultely HATE the storm and wish the team would go to grand island.
Oh, and with lincoln fans going to the stars/storm game is probably because we know that even with our little number going out there, we can still drown out the tri-city fans, just like we can in omaha. Bring on New Years!

I went to a tri-city game once. It was horrible. They played music from the 80's and the only time they cheered was when they were TOLD to. The intro was lame, the announcer was horrific, and the price of food...don't get me started. Not to mention a lot of the fans don't know jack about hockey.

I dont think the people discussing this fight are watching games for just the fights. I have season seats for the Stars games, and fights arent guaranteed EVERY GAME. But I do know quite a few people who have gone to a game and witness a fight (not unlike this one) and become addicted to going to games! So to say that someone who goes to games just for a fight is a bit of an overstatement, since it is one of the few things that go on in hockey that really sets it apart from other sports.

What Conboy did was a cowardly move. I'm pretty sure Crew had no intention to fight Conboy. Sometimes hockey players aren't known for brains, I think Crew would have enough to stay out of a fight with Conboy.
As for the goalie fight, it looked like a pretty solid right that knocked Madolora down. Only thing that resembles a cheap shot was Madolora using his head to try and hit Reekie.

even if he didnt fight he was going to be ejected for spearing, why wouldnt he fight. just because he was out of the game did not guarantee the stars a loss. they have two good goalies not just one. it was all the penalty calls that lost the game for the stars. not the lack of a good goalie.
as for conboy what he did that night was messed up. crew didnt deserve that, he never challenged conboy. conboy needs to learn to pick on guys his own size not small ones to make himself feel like a man.
