  • I wish everyone would stop smashin them cymbals everywhere.

  • @MADROCKS212 yeah no dought, i go to a drum clinic and i don't even touch the ground ;P

  • Wuhan makes a good china cymbal, in my opinion. I say my opinion because people always seem to forget that what may not sound good to you, may sound good to others. I've spent over $6000 on my drum kit all together, and I went for wuhan for the 2 chinas I have, because I like the sound.

  • I would say that in order is: Paiste Signature = Paiste Dark Energy > Sabian Vault = Sabian HHX = Meinl Byzance > Meinl B20 = Paiste 2002 = Sabian AAX > Zildjian A Custom = Paiste Twenty = Sabian AA > Zildjian Z Custom = Sabian HH = Paiste Alpha > Zildjian Effects > Paiste PST5 > Sabian B8 Pro > Everything Else > Sabian ZBT

  • @TheMakyoura Sabian ZBT? dont zildjian make ZBT cymbals?

  • @ilovesabian1n1 yeah sorry Zildjian ZBT

  • @TheMakyoura When I read this I was like, "ah shit, I play ZBT's.....dammit" hahaha. That's mostly because I'm a broke college student though. I mostly agree with your list though!

  • Chopper's cool, but I just never find the time to use it.

  • stop talking and play them!!!!!

  • sorry, but for me, those chopper discs are absolutely USELESS

  • I agree with quest133. Though actually from what I have assertained these are really not even stack cymbals. These are really just a one of a kind instrument made by Sabian really meant for being used as a different type of hi hat. Actually if you think of it all stacks are hi hats because a hi hat is a stack cymbal itself so all stacks are just special hi hats.

  • JOJO mayer play this well..

    nice made!

  • i think these cant be classified as cymbals except for the fact there metal. they have zero sustain so its more like a tightly closed hihat more than anything

  • all three are good

  • its a cool idea, but a little too expensive

  • go fucking kill yourself

you're an ingnorant piece of shit

at least sabian didnt put out pitch blacks

  • hahaha

I can't STAND Zildjian. Much less those pitch blacks. Terrible.

  • zildjian is nothing more than a name now

  • no they came out with alpha blacks... and they sound just as horrible as the zild blacks.

  • no. they arent. black alpha's are paiste. pitch lack are zildjian

  • @plopenstien who cares, they're both gay as shit

  • @evilbob1001

... that was a worthwhile comment

  • mother fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • no there not u fucking dumbass they are 2 diferent companies

  • i fucking know there two companies, but one of the guys from Zildjan named Sabian from his kids. SAlly, BIlly, ANdrew. so there somewhat the same.

  • oh well i knew about the dude nameing sabian after his kids but i didnt know the guy was from zildjian, but i still think zildjian is better

  • thats old news buddy...and just because Sabian is named after his kids it doesnt mean zildjian and sabian cymbals are the same...fuck terd! check your facts!

  • yea i still agree with u i think there total diferent cymbal families

  • cymbal families yes, blood families no...but who gives? it's the sound that matters! Sabian- Because Sound Matters ;)

  • Dude, even my drum teacher, who's been playing for well over 25 years, says there almost the same. And I agree. And no need for name calling...Chill out.

Still, I pick sabian over Zildjan cuz they got APX! And the Power Bell Ride.

  • who gives what your teacher thinks?! it only takes ONE set of ears to hear they're NOT the same! Find me one hihat, crash, ride whatever from sabian and one from zildjian that sounds the same and I'll give u the benefit of a doubt!

btw, APX sucks! It's an amateur line, like the Xs20 but louder.

  • I'm sorry, but are you fucking stupid? APX is not anywhere near as bad as Xs20. A lot of pro's use them. My 16" was $160, not in the amateur line. What the fuck is your deal? I dont even know you and your talking shit to me, chill the fuck out. And it really sounds like your trying to piss me off, fuck off. And it's MY OPINION they sound the same. Why can't you just respect that?

  • so just because ppl like george kollias uses APX, u're opinion is shaped? my god fool use your ears for once! I guess that's not something ppl in your genre(which I figure is punk) usually care about using! nor your heads!

I got ZERO respect for punk ass bitches like youself who cant form an opinion of their own...suck my thick dick, u spick!

  • You really are a fucking retard arnt you? Ever heard "dont judge a book by its cover"? I like ALL forms of rock, including metal and alternative. and my favorite is Chris Adler, not close to punk. What the fuck? I like APX cause of the loud, bright sound, not cause pro's use it. I never said you had to respect ME, I said MY O-P-I-N-I-O-N. Learn to read moron. I dont know what you mean by "who cant form an opinion of their own", cause I kinda did. Fucking low life.

  • I would normally now say "you're right, I shouldn't judge someone with the IQ of a book by his cover"...but it's just too easy. You sorta served me that one on a plate and I wanna build it up myself. Do u honestly think that just because I don't respect your O-P-I-N-I-O-N, it's not good enough for you to stand by? Dude if that's the case I'm sorry. I'm not used to ppl with no self-distance...

  • APX is a pro line of cymbals. The only reason they're cheap like Xs20 is because APX is made of B8 bronze.

Just because a cymbal is made from bronze doen'st make it sound crappy. Take for example the Amun series by Meinl. Those are some damn awesome cymbals for being bronze.

Oh, and also... no one cymbal sounds the same, idiot.

    ignorant!!!!!!

  • most pro cymbals are made from bronze... DOH!

  • well, i meant b8 bronze. not just bronze in general.

  • ive read that somewhere too

  • no he's right! They come from the same family, zildjian at first but one member strayed away and started sabian but they're not, as the fuck head above said, the same! In comparison to paiste and meinl, they're a bit similar but they're still like icecream and pizza, both great...

  • frankly I prefer Sabian because they're more inventive and innovative while zildjian just seem to repeat themselves with like the hybrids, armands etc! Sabian tries completely new concepts such as the choppers which I just love! They're more rhythmic that MAX STAX but I like MS too because they're a bit more muscial! Those sorta things! Alu bells, different lathings etc

  • thats true but would just rather buy zildjians cause they sound better and if i wanted a difernet sound id just buy a china or sumthing

  • totally agree, have tested many zildjian cymbals, and the only one I ever went for was a trashformer... which I stuck on to my Max Stax cymbals lol. I was going for Jon Theodore deal and it worked wonderfully. But yea, Sabian head and shoulders above Zildjian. Althought I would put Paiste somewhere in between, they have an incredibly vast line though, so they kind of win in the versatility department.

  • Yeah I know! I've never been a big fan of Paiste but lately, I've kinda opened my eyes to them. The new reflector series are really cool, I'm planning on getting the 22" Powerslave Bell Ride as a secondary ride on my kit! Sounds fantastic and the crashes aswell tho I really dont like the Rudes and those sorta cymbals, I prefer pure and shimmering cymbals! Sabian Vault crashes are amazing btw!

  • yeah i find that sabian and paiste, especially for the price and range are a lot better than zildjian. zildjian are by far the most overrated cymbals on the market

  • i agree partially. while they are overrated their crashes can be amazing but paiste and sabian are way underrated compared to them

  • Lets not forget about Meinl : )

  • @Deathhunter992

    no meinl sucks

  • @peterson719

Meinl dont suck, they make some very nice cymbals but my personal fav's are sabian.

  • I agree with that. But there is nothing really worng with Zildjians, It's like anything, it's all down to choice, that is why I choose Paiste.Because they have a much broader range of cymbals.

  • @bradydrumsrule fuck sabian, paiste, and zildjian. just buy Wuhan!!!!!

  • @gorma46 dude? wuhan is at the bottom of all of them

  • @donnyfox123 yeah they break fast but they're the best sounding chinese, especially for the price.

  • ya, i love paiste and sabian. zildjians are nice, but theyre always so expensive, and usually break easily

  • hah...all i can afford are wuhans....but i have ziljians on my kit only cause i got them for free from a friend.. but my crashes are wuhans..they're not bad...good for the extremely low price. i wishh i had some Sabians though

  • lol, i have a wuhan china, its pretty tight, but im working on getting a paiste one.. and ya, sabian are ballin, lol, i have a sabian b8 ride, with a little chain on it, its cool

  • i just got a wuhan china with rivets, best sounding china i've ever heard. yeah, B8 is okay, the chain sounds cool though, sound good?

  • ya, it makes it like, a sizzle sound, lol, kinda like how the wuhan has the rivets in it, lol, just a chain though

  • nifty

  • lol, i thought so too(:

  • Okay, to end this argument. Avedis zildjian cymbals (1623) A family company. In the 20th century two brothers inherited the company and one brother wanted to do something but the other brother didnt. The one brother started his own company called Sabian in 1981. In no way are they the same company. The owners ARE related though.

  • thank you, i knew they weren't the same company tho

  • @cph42594 no it was one brother who inherited the company(armand) and the other one (robert zildjian creator of sabian) was pissed off and sued armand because he was supposed to be the heir because he was the older child (thats how it goes w zildjian first born gets the company) in the law suit robert zildjian got the k. zildjian factory in canada and started making sabian cymbals there. they both use the same alloy but the ways they use that to make cymbals are way different.

  • @chrisx8x23x95

No, Robert Zildjian was the younger son who created Sabian, Armand inherited Zildjian because he was the older son. I'm not sure what any of this has to do with lawsuits like you were saying though

  • same here

  • I WANT! :P

  • SHUT UP EVERYONE, DAVE IS TALKING :@

  • i need this thing!! lol

  • ive herd these before..really kewl
