If you ever come to Louisville, you have got to see the highlands. Nice victorian houses in good condition, restaurants, plenty of bars and ped traffick. Alot different from the suburbs of town.

I actually went to Kentucky with no preconceived notions, an open mind, etc. Sorry but I've seen what Kentucky and Louisville is all about. I lived there in about 3 different places in five years there. South Louisville, Middletown, and Fern Creek. I can verify that the only reasonably decent place was Middletown and most of the East End.

Highlands are great...locals know the traffic and parking is tough at certain times of the day, but no worse than most cities...inside hint: Bristol Bar and Grill, great food, and local art work on the walls, a nice place and Avalon's, good food and drinks and you can meet cute office girls of most ages there if your in the mood for that...:-)

Once you pass Highland its Baxter Ave not Bardstown anymore. I used to live in the Highlands on Douglass and then on Alta (1 street north of Bonnycastle) for 7 years, I dont miss the traffic.
