no playability??? its a starship!!! if your kid is in the age range and has a hint of an imagination they could probably make up at least 25 different scenarios that they could really have fun with. if your out of the recommended age range then yeah its a great collectors' item. and to @MegaDimastic the Y-Wing was a fighter-bomber, X-Wing and TIE fighter were dedicated fighters. So use that to decide which is better I like the Y-Wing.
