you did not do a single donut. donut implies spinning in a circle not much bigger than the vehicle. drift maybe, but not donuts. and way to almost hit the cameraman at the end, that was smooth.
if i buy tires with rims like u have would it fit in cherokee 99' without lifting?? i dont do off road with my car but think i need such big tires cuz winter here is a big trouble.ty
Hey where are the four wheel drive donuts?? I could make a 5 or 6 ft circle with my left front tire in four weel drive in my 76 Chevy stepside with a 400 and sm465 4 speed.
id have to disagree with just dropping a smallblock motor in it a 4.0 i-6 has way more torque than smallblock chevy ford whatever unless its wicked bored with a wild cam but an inline 6 bored to a 5.0 with ford 302 racing pistons and a wild cam with some ls1 injectors in it will out do a small block v-8 anyday believe me why do you think they use inline 6's in big truck instead of monster v-8's its because of the shear torque that an inline design motor puts out ~badazzcherokee~
Try again dude, unless the Inline 6 is the Ford 4.9 300 then MAYBE but its still unlikely, Unless the small block your talking abouot is a smogged out 265 or something small like that
tell me this then why is my cherokee with 280,000 miles putting out just as much torque as a new vortec 5.3 v-8 inline motors are just built for torque my lil cherokee will out mud, out pull, and out climb all of my buddies toys with small blocks under the hood its because of the inline design less rotating mass moving in one up and down motion delivering much more efficeint torque than a traditional v pattern motor
Mine went 350,000 before I got mud sucked into it, lol.
But your right, the 4.0 made 177 hp, and 224 lb. This is more then STOCK ford 302, chevy 305, and dodge 318. The AMC 4.0 is an amazing engine. Its just with the AW4 automatic, it held it back. But still I see no reason to put a small block in a cherokee. To much trouble as well.
You would have to know what year, and what was in these engines to know for sure. there was many different 302's in the same year all with differnt numbers.
And also, those numbers are at high rpms. For the jeep, it was way less rpm to get to its high points. And from the numbers you give me, I dont see that much of a difference.
Its states in wickapedia ( sorry if spelt wrong) of what I said about it being right at or more with the small blocks. So I dont know.
I agree Inlines make more power and torque in the lower RPMs, then V8s. I just feel they dont work as good because in the higher RPMS they loose steam,
True, but they dont loose that steam that bad surprizingly. But when off road, your not wanting to have the rpms high to get the power. Most stuff above 3000 rpm really isnt needed for what these rigs are ment for. High end for racing, low end for towing and off road, lol.
I was thinking of putting a 350 in mine. But after really looking into it. It would cause more problems then good. And really not make a difference where I needed it.
Yeah I got a 94 F150 with the 4.9 6 in it, after 4000rpm it loses steam quick. I drove an XJ with the 4.0 and it seemed to work good, it had transmission issues though, would chirp 2nd hard, then grind lol.
wow how about reading. it helps sometimes. in the description is says 9inch lift w/35s. wow. skyjacker one of the biggest well known lift companies makes an 8 inch lift for a cherokee and so does rustys offroad which only makes lifts for jeeps. both very good lifts that have long arms and coils in the front and leafs rear. apparently not a jeep guy.

I'm new to jeeps I'm getting jeep cherokee 5.5 inch lift 1992 and also I read the description after I made the comment and didn't want to double post like you did.
ohh gotcha sorry man. uhh yeah 5.5 inch lift is made by full traction or something like that right? anyway thats quit a bit of lift. im not sure if you are aware of this yet but when you lift a jeep more than 4 inches you need something called a sye (slip yoke eliminater) and a new driveshaft. this is helps reduce the angle of the driveshaft. they are not the cheapest but it will save you big problems when you on the trail.
I'll ask the guy about it when I go buy it from him the owner that has it now bought it from a guy with it already lifted is there a way I can tell if there already on? or off?
not true. i have a cherokee with 6.5" lift. without a SYE kit. but i would def. recomend one if you plan on doing alot of wheeing. they will save you alot of money. and almost any jeep owner would say replace the dana 35 with a ford 8.8. the dana 35 is very weak with anything over 31s
idk why your testing my knowledge about jeeps buddy. i could always say fuck the 4.0 liter as well, get a 350 small block the 4.0 are too heavy and weak with not much torque. i could say they weak cuz they do not have frames, their wheelbase is too short,w/e why replace it with an 8.8? dana 60's are cheaper and some come w/posi lockers.
yeah the cherokees have a unibody. no frame. well they do but it is all one big piece. short wheelbases are good for offroading, especially rocks but when you lift them there needs to be some changes because the angle of you driveshaft is way off creating wear on you transfer case and axles. and idk wtf youre talking about a 4.0 having more torque than 350. haha good luck buddy. argue with someone that lacks as much knowledge as you.
i know they have a unibody i own two of them...and there all lifted as well as my wrangler and they all have the slip yokes to eliminate that...and dont get smart with me i wasn't arguing with you i was asking why you said that maybe you had something intelligent to say about it but i guess not your just being a wise ass...
i know all this shit. idc what you say. next time you comment how about you obtain a little more fuckin knowledge before you argue. a smart person that has some knowledge about jeeps would get a sye.
chill the fuck out man. im not testing your knowledge. i was just saying you dont NEED a sye inless you do alot of wheeling. i def. plan on getting one and you sould if you have a jeep. and 8.8 is the best rear to replace it with if you still want a DD. so chill the fuck out
