While that does seem like Carl Spackler (Bill Murray's character), that is not Captain Tom Everett (Dan Aykroyd's character). Everett didn't talk like that. And besides, Everett didn't appear until Caddyshack II four years later.

it was supposed to just be two hobos that happened to be played by the film's two stars. funny idea and a hilarious scene. probably didn't make the final cut because it took tension away from Louis being chased and the pacing of the film.

I had a book with a picture of Murray and Ackroyd from this scene. It's a little disjointed, though.

They were just in their trailers, hittin' somw weed and snortin' some cake and wandered around set in costume and different characters.

Ivan Reitman put the camera on them and filmed them being their high selves..

Agreed :) It is funny, but the audience would've recognized em in the blink of an eye. In the end it would only have taken the speed out of the chase scene.

hahaha is Bill and Dan! i do understand why they took this away, is funny but i don´t think it would fit on the movie, this is not an eddy murphy movie or something like that.
