We just came back from Topsail Island and we realy enjoyed it alot. The weather was great and the water was warm. We really had a great time except for the forrest fire that we seen and smelled. It was about 20 miles away .I realy liked how close stuff was and the people was freindly. The surf shop had alot in them. We chartered a boat to take was fishing (j&s do not use them the boat was small and we had to bail water) but over hall i we loved it there and r planning on going back next yr.

I love it hear! Its mostly houses and not alot of commercial apartments. Im going tomorrow and ill be staying in surf city, we go every year! :D

@marysjunk If it isn't too late, why move to one of the two cities when you can live on the island? There are apts, condos, and houses for all price ranges. It all depends on what you are looking for in life as to where to live. Jacksonville has a lot to offer for military families and those who like to be around military families. Wilmington is a toss between a college town and a retirement town. There are many places in between. I'm biased as I live on Topsail Island year round, LOVE IT!
