  • oh and im against this crap, thank god less and less people see this for what really is, its a spanish tradition in the wrong country

  • just for the fact they dont kill the bull in arena in portugal that was a small step theres nothing more degrading that seeing an animal dying after being tortured an everybody cheering up like its the greatest thing

  • VIVA A TOURADA PORTUGUESA!

  • dame tanta graça ver americanos dizer que isto e um acto barbaro, quando eles matam milhoes de vacas para ter os seus preciosos hamburgueres

  • eu gosto quando o touro atravessa o chefre na barriga desses otários...

  • @KoolDeSak XD not working. But bulls go to factories were they have a horrible life

  • @KoolDeSak ^?

  • @KoolDeSak

maybe you rather have them working in a factory... Life is a lot worse for them. Not only would the bull be extinc as the Lusitan Horse would be

  • @KoolDeSak see one in açores

  • You are honest!!! Thank you. Animals are a living breed that deserve to live in harmony with nature. "Man" is the one who needs to take a good look at themselves!!!!

  • viva portugal o pais mais lindo do mundo

  • Very ignorant culture!! To think this type of event still goes on. Some traditions need to die off, this is one of them.

  • @mohomoho1 it as ended dickhead

  • mmmm i eat beef but i don't torture animals..hmmm no

  • i hope you all rot in hell and die the most miserable death, bull fighting is sick and the world needs to stop this, i hope every bull fighter on this planet dies the most horrific death.

  • @TheRaygoldstien

if there was no bullfight there would be no bulls!!! think you morons! the bulls are only raised to fight!!! there meat is horrible. if there were no bullfights noone would raise bulls as they are useless

  • A real fight, take a real fight without picadas tucked into the neck of the poor bull shitty cowards, Spanish, Mexican, Portuguese and other barbarian peoples who practice these fucking torture BASTARDS

  • @mixmid hey hey chill your pants faggot, Portugal has millions of events to watch and this one has the less fans because it includes bulls and torture. But think, not all portuguese people like it, most hate it like i do.

dont insult a country for this, its not right. think about your country because every country tortures animals for some reason right? how did the hamburguers came? how did a chicken came? lmao. your a douchebag

  • @mixmid are you calling those peoples barbarians???? let me see your country......Netherlands, i guess your are vegetarian for saying that, if not your are an asshole, stop insulting people, your country like any other in the world kills millions of cattle to eat,, in portugal not all bulls are killed, some are used for breeding and for those who are killed, guess where it ends...... so stop insulting people you bastard you are no better

  • i dont understand why they have to stab the bull

  • It's easy to trash the culture of others, halfway around the globe. First because it is eye candy, and second because it fulfills your desire for attention. The less glamorous yet more insidious animal killers are at your doorsteps, in your home, at your place of work, on your body. Stop being lazy assholes and get marching. I want to see you fuckos at all the animal killing hotspots mentioned earlier. What are you waiting for? Get off that couch, put down yogurt and get to it.

  • You made your point... stop spamming and go jerk off to videos of 'pegas de caras' you fag ignorant.

  • @MrGondomil ....yep..guess who are the primary clients of the private lands dedicated to hunting big game like lions and other animals in Africa? the americans!

  • Anyone who calls him or herself an animal rights activists and insists on living in a modern city, is a hypocrite, simple as that. Urban dwelling, and all of the factors that come with it, electricity, treated and untreated water, garbage disposal, factories, oil, plastics etc. kill millions of animals yearly. virtually everything that you own, has at some point led to the destruction of wildlife and environment. Correct your own problems before trying to correct others.

  • Most hippies who attempted to get back to the land all learned a big lesson. The lesson that living off the land was hard, and became more difficult in the winter. Hippies soon found that it wasn't all roses, and fled back to the cities. Today, we've got the self-righteous children of those hippies, who sit on their comfy couch, heated pads, watching tv, listening to their ipods, playing their video games, criticizing the customs of others. Never bothering to see the the contradiction.

  • If you truly cared about animals, why not protest at your local nuke plant, or hydro installation, oil refinery, plastics manufacturing hub, up and down the local freeway, down at the sewage treatment plant, in the city at the local highrise, electrical towers. Why not protest your own toilet, electrical outlets, telephone and cable running in and out of your home. Go protest your car and bike, and the clothes you wear. Just not glamorous enough is it? And you would probably look the fool.

  • FUCKING BASTARDS ROT N HELL!

  • hahahahahaha..

  • we dont kill the bulls u dumb fucks. they only kill them in spain this is portugal totally different cultures. learn about it befor u open ur big ass mouth!!

  • @meninaportuguesa100 You dont kill them but you only stab the fuck out of them whats the fuckin difference it still suffers!

  • @wildwildwest1414 it's illegal to kill a bull in the arena.

  • @TheDeviLLL Oh it's illegal to kill but to not toture? It's kinda logical they can heal and be used again hmmmm!

  • @wildwildwest1414

The bulls can't be used more than one time because they act differently the second time. After that they go back to farms or to the slaughter house.

It seams that they suffer a lot but it's not that true. The spikes penetrate in a fatty part of the animal with less sensetivity. It's that part above the neck where you can grab a dog or a cat, for example.

  • you eat horse meat? i don't. why would they kill a horse?

  • estrogen and glue

  • In continum: I know bull fighting, not just from the TV. I have seen it live. I have ate their meat. I have ridden a Lusitanian horse. I have been in a couple of 'ganadarias'. I have met people from these areas, the poorest of the region, whose very life depends on this multi million euro market. So dont u tell me what i know or what i dont know. Iff theres something i aborr is IGNORANCE! I know my facts (i av LIVED them) DO YOU KNOW YOUR FACTS in order to comdemn this way of life?!

    f-ing twat!

  • i am full blooded azorean, my best friend lives on a ranch that breeds for bullfighting bulls, i'm not saying i know what spain does with their bullfights or what mexico does with theirs. i know what happens with portuguese bullfighting and i am completely for it. people r entitled to their opinion. u cant change mine like i cant change urs, and unfortunately, thats the way things work.

  • Now who's deviating the subject to evade its self-condemning comments?

In all my comment I tried to remain loyal to the issue in question.

Thus, in answer to your other comment: I am Portuguese and patriot (one cannot be without the other) and grew up watching and learning bullfighting. Therefore, even I may not participate in it directly, Im pretty sure i know more than you. I know all about the Barrancos legislation, the arguments of both sides: Socialist Party and Social Democratic Party.

  • In an american rodeo, we have bull riding. You get man vs. bull, but the bull doesn't get stabbed repeatedly.

Bull fighting may bring in money, but if there's a demand for beef, there will be cows.

The Portugese are more humane than the Mexicans when it comes to bull fighting. I'll give them that.

I just see gang of armed guys vs. cow. I see blades sticking out of the cow. I see lots of blood. Doesn't seem humane.

  • but it's ok to take wild mustangs who've never seen a human and put them through all that stress?

  • yes well, in "American" bullfighting (which the portuguese people began) the bulls are never stabbed, they have a sort of velcro pad on their necks, and the flags (poles) break off into that. never any blood.

  • @Poisonedblade you are legitimizing your own actions while condemning the actions of others, hypocritical. But first let me state that I completely accept and encourage bullfighting, so that you do not get the wrong impression. Bullriding is one of the most stressful things that you can do to an animal. Unlike the Portuguese bulls, who choose their own course, the American bull has no choice in the matter. That said, I accept it since it is part of your culture, learn to accept ours.

  • You assumed that I like bull riding. I don't. I said, "riding a bull is more humane than stabbing it a bunch of times." This is a fact.

If you do not think it is a fact, then I suggest you try wrestling with someone for a while, then try getting stabbed a bunch of times and you will see that getting stabbed is less fun.

  • @Poisonedblade You know this? How? Do you know the emotions of the animal so intimately that you can act as its spokesperson? Have you ever seen the dazed, frightened look of the animal, flailing itself in the air, trying to throw off it's attacker? Do not be so quick to pass judgment on others, look to your own home first, search your own conscience, and fix your own errors before you fix those of others.

  • @Poisonedblade If you do not like bullriding, then may I suggest that you stop using up animal killing electricity and not answer any more questions please.

  • @Poisonedblade before you even say anything more stupid think! the bull doesnt feel the picadas! its like a soldier at war he might get cut he might even loose one of his legs but when his fighting he doesnt feel a thing... now go to a macdonalds slaughterhouse and tell me what they feel

  • Thus proving my point. Inadvertedly you expose the inferiority of you unreasonable argument. You attempt to be civil and logical, however your words merely demonstrate the simplicity of your thoughts and the lack of scientific reasoning that must be innert to any logical argument.

Moreover, these issues have been considered within the Executive and Legislative powers, and contrary to what has been said here, the Portuguese are civil people having contributed to the birth of the Modern World.

  • That's exactly it! You judge a book by its cover and yet you are the one denoting the idiocity in my comment! And yes, without bullfighting, there would be no 'ganadarias', or farms that raise these bulls, and without them there would be no natural habitats for them and they would naturally die out. Its a logical statement, but as it becomes more and more apparent you are a person of very little intelligence incapable of grasping the complexity of the circumstances that envolve this issue.

  • Maybe I wasn't clear enough or you little simple mind cannot graps the complexity of what bullfighting is. Do you think its something that some people get up to in a nice Sunday morning. In bullfighting the well being of the animal is not respected. I agree. What I said was that the animal was respected. In general. The whole breeding of it and the process of making bullfighting happen. Which, I suspect, you know nothing about, and yet you make rapid judgements about it.

  • Next time you pick up a dictionary look up the word respect.

    I said respected, not pampered.

  • A gang of fags attacking a bull.

  • I'd like to see you try. See how much of an heterosexual man you would be facing a 600kgs Iberian bull, that was bred and fed to be the way it is: strong and aggressive.

  • I had a burger for lunch today, but I hate bullfighting. It feels more like a group of 10 armed men with blades against a vegan cow. It's not really a bull FIGHT, it's more like torturing a cow to death. What chance does the bull have? Sure it can take a matador with him once in a while, but the bull has zero chance to survive. I think that's what bothers me the most. The second the bull is chosen to fight, it's in for a long agonizing public death.

  • This comment is just an example of how much most people that comment here know about bullfighting in general and the Portuguese tauromaquia specifically.

Just so you know, the bull does not die during the spectacle. There is no matador in Portuguese bullfighting.

Also, incidently, I'd like to add that without bullfighting, bulls would be endangered, if not extinct, in Portugal. Just so you know...

  • bullfighting sucks spain n portugal sucks...they're just a bunch of mindless barberians stupid fucks..theres no respect 4 animals at all

  • oh but ur wrong: there is respect. There just isnt a care for the animal's well being.

the power and cleverness of the animal is always duly noted and thus the animal is respected, just like nature is in general, in these 2 countries.

  • The only place in the word was the man fight a bull more 300kg face to face! A legacy of the Roman Empire!

  • very wrong, in Portugal, as opposed to Spain, the bull is not killed. This is more like Bull wrestling because 10 guys have to pin the Bull down.

  • Hey, how about 10 bulls pinning a guy down...now that would be cool;)

  • I'm sick of reading comments complaining that we kill the bull in our bullfights, and thats not true. In Portugal youre not allowed to kill the bull, and by the way a bull only fights one time, after the fight they are released into a meadow only to eat, live and make babys. So next time read about wath you guys are talking beafore you atualy talk

  • Well, maybe in your next life, you'll come back as a bullfighting bull and get speared in your back over and over again...I'm sure you'll enjoy it!! also, I'm not sure about the 'not killing' bit...I believe the bulls are sent to the slaughterhouse where unfortunately they'll be on someone's plate the next day--probably yours! AND YES, I am PORTUGUESE;))

  • Blá, blá ...

  • I can see that you're also a very eloquent speaker--an altogether genius!

  • Thank you very much you pussy

  • You're very welcome, and YES, IT'S QUITE TASTY;)

  • No matter the race or culture... it is just not normal to get pleasure off of abusing animals... these people are not human... they have no heart

  • tell that to your president.. that abuse from intelligent animals AKA HUMANS in afganistan iraq vietnam and etc etc etc...

  • They "abuse" them while the rest of the world set idely by as Iraqis got thrown into wood chippers for daring to diagree with a dictator. I see the concept of the greater good is pretty much dead these days. Relish in your own liberty and hope someone else preserves it. I doubt you have the spine to fight for it yourself.

  • Shut the fuck up you idiot!

  • And get your fucking facts straight. Portugal is in Afhganistan as well and we were also in Iraq, dumb fuck.

  • yes portugal is everywhere i know :) 10 milions in portugal and 10 millions aroound the world..and millions of descendents.. probably we are also in afghanistan haha :D

  • Ignorant bastard!

  • Poor bull??? the only reason for the existence of this kind of bull is the bullfight...If the bullfights didn't exist the bull was alredy extinct.

  • very bad to use like this the animals we liked portugal cause dident kill the toro like spanish!! but do the same idiot thing!! this is sad!!

  • In Portugal the bull is killed inside after the "show", unfortunately.

  • this is not true, in portugal the bulls are not killed

  • yes it is true in portugal the bulls are killed until 3 days after the bulfight...so their are suffering all that time...it would be a lot better to the bull if he was killed on the show!!

there are even bulls that return to the "ganaderia" were he was living...

  • WHAT?! Thats not true at all

  • yah man why should the bulls be killed after 3 days?? that makes any sense? being 3 days doing what? loosing blood? or recovering in a hospital? lool i just think is real hipocrit when portuguese (im portuguese) say the bull is not killed he is not killed in the arena but he dies in the backstage AM I WRONG PPL? its so damn stupid! i think is depressing to see the bull die in the arena and i hate it in spain everyone aplauding but shit diying in the backstage is even worst for the bull..

  • i would just like to ask every one on here if the have ever been to a slaughter house and seen an animal killed for kosher meat well i have they slice the animals throat and let the animal walk around (for hours in some case) until it dies at least when the bull is killed in spain the sword is straight to the heart

  • and portugal!

  • lets kill the matador! and stop tourism to spain! poor bull.

  • dude i commented on this shit like over a month ago, i dont care. and your a penis sir.

  • are you stupid guy?

its a tradition, like other country, you have the pitbull fight and its not a tradition, but exist, pass a report in portugal

  • The Iberian Bull used in bull fighting would be extinct if it wasn't for bull fighting. Not really used for anything else ...

  • u again man this b*tch has been writing in all vidios of portuguese bullfight, she thincks our bullfights are just like the spanish bullfight. Notice: Spanish kill bulls but the portuguese DONT kill the bull.... Simple isn't, Spanish=Death, Portuguese=NO Death

  • Fight another man with swords, pikes and stuff instead of torture a helpless animal.

  • I was just in Portugal, and watched a bull fight - IT WAS AWESOME. These guys Forcados, are paid almost nothing, they jump into the arena, with no weapons at all - when I watched it in Albufeira, it took them 4 tries, to control the bull - the smaller the bull, the faster, and more unpredictable it seems to be... A lot of fun - lighten up - mmm do you eat beef?

  • @amatijaca but why stab it crule fucks and same on faggotes who pay to see it

  • @amatijaca they are nothing but cowards put a bull in there who has not been half blinded or stabbed by those obcene picalos different ball game all together 7 on to 1 i hardly think thats a fair fight never mind as long as your thirst for blood was catered for thats all that matters doesnt it maybe you should jump in the ring instead of watching next time but i dont think your that brave are you

  • hmm you value more an animal that you EAT that a hman beeing.. nice moral... stupid fuck

  • also this isnt portugal. red and yellow stripes mean anything to anyone?

  • This group of people are called "Forcados" IN PORTUGAL!

There is no such thing in Spain or anywhere else...

Though, this could be in spain but this guys are Portuguese for sure.

2- They are not killing the bull... When a bull is good, they let him survive and sent him again to his "home". In Portugal the bulls are no killed in the arena...

PS: Matador = man without balls LOOOOOOL that is nice

  • This is in portugal.

Only Portugal have forcados and this bullfight was in Campo Pequeno in Lisboa

  • is portugal, the red and yellow stripes don t mean anything,in bullfight, you see the nation by the hat, gren and red

    ass,portuguese::

  • Duartlittle. "blind to see they are not killing the bull"???? are you blind? tell me, what are those spear like objects hanging from its hind?? pretty decorations??? dick, why dont you learn more before confronting others.

  • bulls don't die from that, come on...

  • the "sticks" have velcro stupid

  • ke essa merda velcro?

  • gayathridevi, if you don't know of what you are talking, shut up!

first, in spanish "matador" doesn't mean "man without balls", it means "slayer"! (please learn spanish before you make translations!)

second, in portugal it is forbidden to slay the bull in the arena, that is only in spain!

third, you must be blind not to see that they are not killing the bull, they are just brave men that face the bull(stand in front of a 500kg bull and then talk to me about women frustration!)

  • I thought only the spanish matador (direct translation means men without balls) laid thier frustration of not satisfying thier women on bulls. I guess the Portuguese matadors have the same problems

  • ther are no matadores in portugal! just forcados (the men you see on the video), cavaleiros (knights, in english, men and women that, sadly, ride horses and stick the bulls with spears, and also bandarilheiros (the men with the pink cloaks)! oh, and i might be against it, but ive seen a bullfight live, and its a entertaining show.

  • What, you chumps think all your steaks and hamburgs come from pain-free, bloodless slaughterhouses? Go check out a feedlot or see how they ship cattle to slaughter before you bitch about a few bulls going in the ring. Sheesh.

Go watch some wrestling on cable, pally. Now there's yer culture!

  • hey porto go fuck yourself with what you have to say about America we are not so pro animal second anyone who doesnt like this kind of fighting need to pull the dick out of their asses...these guys dont kill and you have not seen what these bulls do to ribs...lol

  • Pulling on a wounded bulls tail is NOT brave and doesn't give it any dignity in its death.

  • Pathetic. Terrorising animals 8v1 is NOT brave. Look at the spears sticking out its back and you think it's not cruel. I'm all for keeping culture alive but I'm also for evolution of culture and ridding bad "traditions". Witchburning was "cultural" once. Just as yanks can be patriotic and still not support their warmongering president you can be proud of your heritage without endorsing barbaric sport like this.

  • get 7 guys to help you grab a full-grown bull. in the end you'll understand why i don't think the forcados are cowards. oh, you can be the one to make the first catch. bring a first aid kitt or/and a shovel.

  • animal rights activists are such morons, they care more about animals than humans, get a life you assholes

  • uhh.. Respect our culture.. Bu fucking hu! Are you guys really that blind!? Sure, cultures is good, but don't use animals! And the funny part is that you can't defend this sport! I haven't heard one single comment that makes sense, I bet the bull is 1000 times smarter than you, think beyond that "culture" of yours, try look in the bulls eyes, you see pain, and desperation mixed with fear. I don't get it, why are people so in to this?

  • Hi

Did you was in a portuguese "Corrida de Touros?" i think you don`t but if you want understand what is our corrida de touros feel free to contact me and i`ll send you some information and if one day you came to Portugal i`ll show you the meaning of this tradition

    Best Regards

    Miguel

  • Culture? That's your excuse you waste of life? Hello? It's ain't the 1600's anymore. We have cable now. Just let this go.

  • exactly.

  • Cable TV kills(pollution, workers fall off poles/ladders, fighting over the remote control, obesity problems, the vile they show). Leave our cultural traditions alone. USA already ruinned most traditions & celebrations, don't ruin ours. American Rodeo harms calfs more. Go lay on the sofa eat some Doritos & watch Gangster Rap on Cable and hope your culture endures it's gangs, drugs, feminization, sissyness. Live & let live. Long live the Portuguese Touradas (no killing).

    Merry CHRISTmas.

  • WE DONT KILL THE BULLS STUPID ASSHOLE JUST PUT THAT IN UR MIND: WE DONT KILL THE BULLS, if u didnt undenrstood that u are really retarted

  • I'm more cultured than you will ever be you closed minded whore-boy.

  • You are such an animal why don't you go back to your cave you stinking pig.

  • Cowards. It's great that most of Europe LOVE it when a bullfighter gets killed. You hear that you son-of-a-bitch bullfighter. Your dream come true? We want you killed by a bull you faggot bastard.

  • tell me were you live, i'l kill you with my bare hands! What are you, american? somebody without culture!

  • shut the fuck up u spanish cunt rag. go die

  • Its funny that you call us cowards. I'd like to see people such as yourself even try to do what these men did in the video. Here in the states, I participate in the grabbing of the bull, which has never had its blood drawn during the fight. The bull is not killed in the Portuguese tradition, its life is spared. People like yourself do not appreciate culture that has been around for centuries.

  • If the americans have the rodeos why we can`t have our corrida de touros

DESGRACIADOS. SICK BASTARD I HOPE THAT ALL OF THE PEOPLES WHO KILLS ANIMALS AND TORTURE THEM DIE, LOOK THIS POOR ANIMAL YOU MOTHER FUCKERS, GO TO HELL STUPIDS, YOU THINK THIS IS A SPORT? YOU DUMBASSES, STOP THIS SAD AND CRUEL REALITY.

  • Holla

El toro no e morto en Portugal,

  • Thats wath I have been telling

  • its the tradition portuguese, like prince charles the wanted fox, just for pleasure, but we eat the bulls :)
