I had a burger for lunch today, but I hate bullfighting. It feels more like a group of 10 armed men with blades against a vegan cow. It's not really a bull FIGHT, it's more like torturing a cow to death. What chance does the bull have? Sure it can take a matador with him once in a while, but the bull has zero chance to survive. I think that's what bothers me the most. The second the bull is chosen to fight, it's in for a long agonizing public death.

I was just in Portugal, and watched a bull fight - IT WAS AWESOME. These guys Forcados, are paid almost nothing, they jump into the arena, with no weapons at all - when I watched it in Albufeira, it took them 4 tries, to control the bull - the smaller the bull, the faster, and more unpredictable it seems to be... A lot of fun - lighten up - mmm do you eat beef?

In an american rodeo, we have bull riding. You get man vs. bull, but the bull doesn't get stabbed repeatedly.
Bull fighting may bring in money, but if there's a demand for beef, there will be cows.
The Portugese are more humane than the Mexicans when it comes to bull fighting. I'll give them that.

In bullfighting the well being of the animal is not respected. I agree. What I said was that the animal was respected. In general. I had a burger for lunch today, but I hate bullfighting. It feels more like a group of 10 armed men with blades against a vegan cow. It's not really a bull FIGHT, it's more like torturing a cow to death. What chance does the bull have? Sure it can take a matador with him once in a while, but the bull has zero chance to survive. I think that's what bothers me the most. The second the bull is chosen to fight, it's in for a long agonizing public death.

Just so you know, the bull does not die during the spectacle. There is no matador in Portuguese bullfighting.
Also, incidently, I'd like to add that without bullfighting, bulls would be endangered, if not extinct, in Portugal. Just so you know...

In Portugal youre not allowed to kill the bull, and by the way a bull only fights one time, after the fight they are released into a meadow only to eat, live and make babys. I was just in Portugal, and watched a bull fight - IT WAS AWESOME. These guys Forcados, are paid almost nothing, they jump into the arena, with no weapons at all - when I watched it in Albufeira, it took them 4 tries, to control the bull - the smaller the bull, the faster, and more unpredictable it seems to be... A lot of fun - lighten up - mmm do you eat beef?

ther are no matadores in portugal! just forcados (the men you see on the video), cavaleiros (knights, in english, men and women that, sadly, ride horses and stick the bulls with spears, and also bandarilheiros (the men with the pink cloaks)! oh, and i might be against it, but ive seen a bullfight live, and its a entertaining show.
