Some of the reason Harley is loosing money is because,when gas goes up,oil goes up,cause Harleys require so much oil.

Would have to agree with pistoleer3, the people the guy is talking about are the weekend warriors honestly. For most Harley riders, their bike is their life. Loud pipes save lives.

But really, when would a motorcycle in the West ever be anything other than a 2nd or 3rd purchase? What could they have done differently with product that would have helped? I suppose selling scooters in Asia might have worked...

And they bought MV Agusta just before their stock started to go down . . . it's a beautiful Italian bike and I hope they do well together if / when the economy picks back up. MVA has the land speed record for 1000 cc bikes timed at Bonneville!
