  • We use our Batpan as one of the tools to teach prospecting with on our guided gold adventures here in Colorado. It allows us to test pan a spot in seconds and younger panners LOVE the Batpan!- Don - Goldstrike Adventures

  • clever stuff mate

  • oops, i see a question about materials--1/8 inch textured surface ABS

  • Black sands can be wiped out by hand or kept by using a magnet in a plastic bag.

My son also got on me about my racist chinaman's hat comment. I guess i'm also a sexist ;) I'll leave that comment out when i reshoot the video.

  • chinamans hat?..excuse me, it should be chinapeople, thats very sexist

  • how do you get the black sand off of the magnets or out of the pan?

  • You have the latest improved version of the Batpan. The safety groove that is now molded into the pan near the lip is better because it is deeper, has a better angle and leaves more room for spreading the gangue (lighter waste sands). It took me a while to figure out how to change my mold to get the groove in so I was gluing in the ribbed mat until I got it worked out. Thanks for asking. I hope to find time to reshoot the video and web photos.

  • I just bought a pan and it did not have the ribbed matting in it. Any reason why it is missing.

  • Many thanks for an excellent pan and your demo. //Ingemar
