  • Before LA Noire, this was the ultimate "noir" game. Still is, IMHO.

  • The first Heavy rain haha

  • Cool, but I usally mute it and play Twilight zone in the backround

  • Desperately want more click and play adventures. Does anyone know of any other click and play games aside from the big 3 (Deja Vu, Shadowgate, and Uninvited)?

  • @Chortstuf try maniac mansion on the nes :D

  • @Chortstuf I don't know of others (aside from Manic Mansion) specifically for the NES, but ANY of the old LucasArts PC games are worth it. (Indiana Jones and Fate of Atlantis is my favorite) Don't forget the NeverHood.

    Check out ScummVM for more!

  • Does this game take place in Peoria?

  • compare 0.25 and 1.25. misses another bass note. lol

  • "Quickly, all of a sudden you see a hooker with a gun" lmao.. this game was gr8

  • SOCKO

  • Mega Man Is Disguised As A hitman I Knew it!

Ace harding= Dr.Wily! *Okay Not Really*

  • I live near actual Peoria. It's not nearly this scary.

  • The real mystery to this game: How did a 400 pound woman fit in the trunk of a Benz?

  • I miss this Genre of Video Games nowadays..

  • this game scared me as a child when i played it. even the music set the tone. ugh. very memorable game though. i could never finish it.

  • "mama said it was bad to steal. but she also said it was bad to kill,so just give me your money."

  • I kind of like this music. This will be a pretty music to listen to especially when you're going downtown somewhere.

  • the first bass tone is gone? That's so typically nes, sometimes it could miss a note :D love it

  • @camouflage81

Ah, it's funny you should notice that! That's actually not a common error for the NES, there's no reason a normal song should ever miss a note. There is, however, something weird about the Deja Vu music. In-game, you'll hear the bass come in at the right time. However, every once in a while, it'll pause or mute and miss a note. And it's not in-time either, as it seemingly mutes randomly. The NSF I sampled this from does the same thing, only it happens to mute at the beginning too.

  • @explod2A03 No, the NSF had to be fixed. I have the fixed version. Same with Shadowgate.

  • @Doommaster1994

Ah, good to know there's a fixed version. I'm fairly certain it still happened in the game ROM I checked (I recall sampling the triangle from both and visually comparing where the bass notes dropped out with audacity), but this is going back a couple years and my memory could be fuzzy. As I recall, bass notes did drop out in gameplay, but not at the beginning and not in the same spots exactly as the screwed up NSF. Could it be that the ROM was bad too? :)

  • This song is CLASSIC

  • You hear this music more than once in the video game.

  • I can totally picture John Coltrane wailing this song on the saxophone

  • Seems like I get a Déjà Vu. =)

  • Still hav it & still play it.... the Grim Reaper ..sucked , was Challenging, a "Mental game ..for sure. Great

  • The mugger had "two busted shiners" from my "Socko's"

  • I hated how every time you tried to shoot someone you were always too slow.

  • Save for Sugar Shack and the hitman in your office and the muscle mugger. Of course shooting either one except for the hitman got you arrested so you lost anyway.

  • Whistling along... badly...

  • "SOCKO" lmao

this game is so classic, the winecellar and the photos of ... Ace Harding which strangely enough ring a bell and suddenly you realise.. The man on the photo is YOU!!!

  • I fucking love this game!! This music brings back a sea of memories!

I love you!! It was the first game I played where you actually had to think to beat it. It was clever and fun.

  • You see a mugger in you way. He wants all of your money!!

It might be wise to give it to him.

  • I always chose to punch him in the face. lol

  • SOCKO! A quick jab to the eye stuns him! He runs down the street yelling "I'll be back!".

  • SOCKO is probably the best unsound effect ever.

  • If I remember correctly the 3rd or fourth time you ran into him he'd "BLAM" you if you tried to "Socko" him again.

  • Really? I only Sockoed him once or twice in my playthroughs, so maybe you're right. Damn, he's slow to understand that you're gonna jab him in the eyes then :P

  • @Kojain As I hit him again, and again, and again.......

  • @KojainThen for some odd reason, the thug was backstabbed by a shadowy figure, and he ran away, and the cops dont suspect a thing.

    You find that odd.
