You should ALWAYS buy the best equipment you can afford - no matter what you're doing....making music or doing carpentry, or whatever....makes NO difference how 'old' you are! If you can drop $3000 or more on the 'tool' and not be hurting - then you 'deserve' to own it.

I"M ONLY 14 and there is NO WAY i want to wait till i'm 18 to own one- i just think that the people who own these guitars should DESERVE THEM, that's all. Most kids my age, don't! I also play the guitar. I also started as a kid, then stopped and resumed it at the age of 16. I'm 20 at the moment; I play in a band, do gigs and record songs.

Guess what? I don't think I'm even close to deserving that guitar. It's for the true professionals (I have 2 electric guitars and 1 classical).
