Wii built inside arcade machine

Get that GC controller wired up to the joystick, in the name of all that is good and pure in this world! - it's not too difficult, even if you have to scrape and solder the contacts - the joysticks and buttons on the cab are probably awesome, don't waste them!

Personally I would never put a Wii into a cabinet, there are cheaper options like Dreamcast and XBox - those do MAME really nicely.

If I were to make a Wii arcade cabinet, I would have the buttons and joystick hooked into the gamecube controller ports. The Wii would be hacked and use something like Preloader to boot directly to an emulator selector so you didn't need the Wii Remote unless you wanted to use it. You could fully navigate with the joystick and buttons and play classic and new games.

well wii has the homebrew channel which allows you to get roms for free just like that other stuff. And if you really wanted you could play brawl :)

uh...sorry, I don't speak your language...but from what I understand you are saying something about a pentium 1 being able to emulate a neogeo, and I'm assuming by the thumbs down that you are attempting to take a shot at me. Also something about not using the levers of an arcade stick. Guess what? It's relatively simple to wire joystick actions to either a gamecube controller or a classic controller, I've done similar things myself. A Wii arcade is a cool concept if done right.

I think the Wii is great! Can't stop playing Wii sports golf! Though I don't think that JAMMA cab has its original video monitor, looks like some kind of LCD popped in there! I assume it would be easy enough to connect Wii to JAMMA and that LCD could possibly be wired up to be compatible if it had SCART or something! I wonder if the Wii classic controller could use the sticks, if it was gutted it probably could. Ace cabinet though!

Did you see the video on the 360 arcade machine. This is just a Wii running on an arcade monitor. The guy who made the 360 arcade machine has the same thing on a Wii and PS3. So, it operates like an arcade.
