Surah 3 verse 7 But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is not of well-established meaning. Seeking discord, and searching for its interpretation, but no one knows its true meanings except Allah, and those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it is from our Lord"; and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.
So according to this verse.. We need to affirm, and NOT give interpretations of HAND/Descending ETC ..
Sorry if this upsets you, but the truth is that this talker is full of crap. He is not speaking in favour of the ahl-us-sunnah at all. Firstly, he makes out that the different schools have different `aqeedah and then he makes out that the Hanabila are all strictly anthropomorphist - which is a total lie. It is true that the anthropomorphists came from the Hanbali background, but what he says is nonsense. Also, he misappropriates the word "salaf" and "salafi" as badly as the wahhaabiyyah do!
The arguments this man asserts against the wahhaabiyyah are weak too. We all know these obvious arguments. There are far easier ones that can prove their `aqeedah to be clearly and decisively erroneous and that have been overlooked. These arguments are actually stronger when examined because they do not rely on mere interpretation nor reasoning. They rely on solid evidence that their beliefs are corrupt drawn from their own works. >
If they try to use a get-out-clause like "This is not the consensus of our scholars" then i will show them how it is in fact the consensus of their scholars. I will shows them which scholars of theirs say what and where they expound upon these things so they may know from evidence that i am speaking the truth. If they still don't accept then they are lost and meant to be misguided, at least at that present moment.
You don't need reasoning if you have mastered `aqeedah!

What is he talking about when he says the "old salafi opinion"? Salafis still say Allaah said it, end of topic.

this is not correct.. God does have a hand. Unlike any created hand.
IF you deny that, your denying the verses in the Quran, or giving interpretations based on your own intellect.
"Do you say of Allah that which you have no knowledge?"
and he said that Allah descends to the 7th heaven, perhaps it was a mistake or there is a hadith I never read. But it's the lowest heaven not the 7th
The verse he quoted surah 3 verse 7 , he also didn't explain it properly.
