When he's an angry or intense Mac Taylor, his voice is so low, and determined. And, watch his face. He looks the perp, or Chief(!) dead in the eyes, and doesn't blink!

Gary Sinise is such a gifted actor, and generous American! I admire him so much. He's the best!

I watched this episode just the other day, and love that final scene so much!

Grissom just doesn't get mad for long. Horatio is too soft for that, although if Horatio was in Mac's position, I doubt the guy would've lasted any longer XD

Grissom can do angry but not for very long, He just gets someone else to do long angry. I agree that Horatio Caine does the quiet smouldering anger while Mac is angry when he means it. Which makes Mac my favourite CSI boss. Although i do like William Petersen as much as Gary Sinise

Horatio Caine has nothing on Mac Taylor. I keep trying to picture him do this scene and I just can't.

Grissom, in my opinion, is the only other CSI who comes close on the "badass" meter. :-D

funny...for me, Horatio can totally pull it off, when H is pissed, he can really be dangerous, this is the guy who single handedly took down an entire gang group who shot his wife dead within even flinching or blinking an eye...he sure can be intimidating when he wants to, difference is H most of the time is very gentle and compassionate whereas Mac has a hardened exterior.

Grissom was never threatening in my opinion, he can be mad and angry but not any scary.

Yeah, that's true...I think that, honestly, part of the reason I can't see Horatio being that scary is 'cause I'm really not a big fan of the character. He's okay and everything and there are definitely moments where I go, "Wow...this guy;'s in trouble...", but if I heard him say this exact monologue to a criminal, it would leave me with the same feeling as it does when I hear Mac say it. :-)

H's anger is of a more calm hidden beneath the surface type of anger that you can see in his eyes.....sometimes it is very errie....that's what makes it terrifying...the quiet anger.....not the running around yelling and screaming....

Was a couple things wrong the first two though. If I remember correctly, Derek was in on the robbery and that was self-defense; Lauren was an accident, she ran into something sharp in a wall. However he was an accessory to the murders of the bank manager and his wife.
