@Aggiesgigem I'm pretty sure you can.... I have been graduated since 2006 so I'm not in the loop anymore.... But you should ask them. I think its all paid now, including dispatchers. Their number should be 979-845-4321 last I heard.
Yes but you have to clear to independent duty on whatever EMS service you work at... It is seperate from getting certified as an EMT. It is technically called "Authorization" to work with that particular EMS agency. This is what he meant. There is certification and then there is authorization.

Also mind you, a medic IS an EMT... an EMT is not nessecarilly a medic though.
