Good video thanks for sharing. The Inca Trail walk looks freezing cold, uncomfortable and exhausting. I visited Machu Picchu the easy way, comfortable train ride for 3 hours from Cuzco, with hot breakfast served on board and entertainment with Peruvian folk dancing, then a quick coach ride from Aguas Calientes up to Machu Picchu. I enjoyed the buffet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel near the main entrance. 4 days of hiking in the rain with 5am starts? No way, but I'm sure some people enjoy it.

I did this trail back in march 2006. I took pictures all along the way but after seeing your video really wished i would have documented it by film too. This was great and brought back alot of memories. like the porters bringing tea to the tent in the morning. Great video
@tazzzx If you don't hold yourself back you can do whatever you want. If it comes down to it, bring some food and water and take a rest here and there. I'm going this September. I'm 280 lbs it should be fun though!

when we arrived it was covered in fog and looked amazing. however there was a massive cue as u start approaching it, not very mystical :) i've heard there are other even more beautiful treks with far less people, it's the machu picchu in the end that makes this trek so popular

Good on ya'! Peru is totally amazing, best hiking/treking/whitewater in South America. Don't know how it goes in the UK but in the states we had all these b.s. travel advisories and warnings that were completely unfounded and ridiculous. Super nice people, great food, awesome times. Congrats!!!

when we arrived it was covered in fog and looked amazing. however there was a massive cue as u start approaching it, not very mystical :) i've heard there are other even more beautiful treks with far less people, it's the machu picchu in the end that makes this trek so popular

Good on ya'! Peru is totally amazing, best hiking/treking/whitewater in South America. Don't know how it goes in the UK but in the states we had all these b.s. travel advisories and warnings that were completely unfounded and ridiculous. Super nice people, great food, awesome times. Congrats!!!

Thanks for sharing, good footage of 4 days put into 10 mins. I did some treks in Peru and Bolivia last year and this bought back fine memories.I went to Machu Pichu as well, amazing place. Your account of cocoa tea, cocoa leaves, freezing nights, offerings to the high passes and changing weather conditions really captured the day to day experiences of trekking in this amazing place :)
