  • Looks like afrog, but nice work.

  • @lockdown494 Just on edge that's all.

  • What size are theese shells?

    Beautiful vid by the way.

  • @HeaanLasai 8"

  • @lockdown494 Depends on where you are viewing it from, That is why they fired a few of them.

  • KITTTTTYYYY !!!!!!! :D

  • @cheer4life1299 meowwwwwww.

  • @METAL1ON lol

  • The most precise and intricate pattern shells i have ever seen except for the 3d shapes. Those are insane.

  • don't see a cat in it.

    maybe a japanese cat?

  • @MijnWet it has a mouth eyes and whiskers, what more do you want ?

  • @METAL1ON a cat-shaped head :D

  • @MijnWet ITS FIRE WORKS what else can they doo ?? its amazing that people came up with fire works can u be thankfull for ittt ??????///

  • @cheer4life1299 if they can make hearth shapes, maybe they can do the cat shaped head also? :D

i love fireworks, just to let you know

  • outstanding,

but it goes to show you that the slightest angle off, and the effect can be ruined.

does anyone know how they ensure it bursts facing the audience? finned shells?!

    cheers

  • @murdoch2486

There are essentially three methods to maintain orientation; guidance sticks, fins(very rare) and the most common method, a rope. Stick guided shells have three wooden sticks mounted in the downward directin of teh shell. Then a wooden plug with slots for the sticks is slided on. The whole installment is the lowered into the mortar. When fired, the lift charge separates plug from the shell, and the sticks guide the shell straight up.

Fin guidance is done by by attaching

  • @murdoch2486

a tail with fins, to the shell.

The third option is to fasten a drag inducing 1 meter rope on the down side of the shell. When fired, drag will keep the shell in correct direction

  • yeah thought that would be the logical explanation!

    cheers for that mate

  • @murdoch2486

yeah what a pitty if the effect is ruined as can be seen at sec. 18.

they calculate the angle they shoot it. The latest is, that they have sensors in the shell that calculate angel, altitude and the best moment to light the candle.

    awesome stuff

  • wow, very intricate system.

never heard of that, must be pricey, if their is a radio box in every shell?!

    cheers

  • yes it must be!

but imagine the price of such a shell

    i think its worth it

  • yeah i suppose,

but you know the japanese! not a penny watsed! haha

  • Now THAT'S engineering, just by carefully aranging the stars in the shell almost any pattern can be made.

  • damn expensive they are too and they dont come any smaller than 8"

  • Suposing you are a more professional pyrotechnick what do you mean when you say expensive?

    -Greets DESTROYER-

  • in the UK they cost £200 each at trade.

  • Now that's a very high price for one shell. I gotta say they are beautiful thou. I don't think i will ever reach a paternd shell. Have a nice day further on.

    -Greets DESTROYER-

  • 6" cat face shells can be done

  • I hear these yungfeng shells are really nice. After seeing this I believe it. If you watch this video you see why you have to send up flights of pattern shells. you never know if they will break exactly right. Although you hit about 80% of these nice I must say. Great shell. those chinese and fireworks are always amazing.

  • wow

  • Do you know of any importers/dealers in WV,OH,KY,VA,MD, or TN where I can get these? I have a federal explosives license and a WV display operators license.

  • yungfeng make the shells they will probably import them, however be warned a single 8" catface in the uk costs £200 to the trade.

  • search dragon fireworks star wars pyromusical! they used cat face pattern shell

  • That doesnt mean they manufacture them many companies use other companies products.

  • dragon fireworks can also make cat face pattern shell

  • NICE patterns! Smiley faces are cool, but these are a whole new level of awesomeness!

  • amazing

  • Weco (from germany) also makes these kind of shells!

  • Do you know who makes them?

  • Yung feng

  • I'm surprised so many of those patterns came out perfectly and not a single one was upside down. The last one was kind of close, though.

  • yeah they got very lucky there didnt they

  • I lived just to see this.

  • neato

  • how u can make fireword in that form??

  • companies in the uk should use patterned shells more often. It seems most companies are scared to use them and just stick to spherical bursts. BORING! Good vid mate!

  • heh... just when you think theyve done everything that can be done with combustibles! amazing!

  • cool

  • that's awesome
