How does one move the profile in Windows 7 and the latest version of Firefox (4.0 or 8.0)?? The folders are completely different, and there is no longer a Profile Manager.
Secondly, I tried moving the Firefox cache, as well, via the about:config, and wrote the RAMDisk as the path, but I don't think it's working. The folder remains empty (0 KB).
best of luck good video can Increase Internet browsing & cut down lots of time using this method of using a RamDisk! Im going to be posting a Video or text response with lots more info to start people in learning more about the benefits of using Ramdrive/Ramdisk!
Bah, how do you fix this bug where it refuses to format the ramdrive when you auto-load an image, effectively making it useless? win7 won't show unformatted drives
@TheRealFaziri Hi. Sorry for the late reply and I apologize for the video freezing; the same thing is happening to me.
Unfortunately, DataRAM doesn't recommend formatting. You have to run 'as as', which is FAT32. It is buggy, however and took a few reboots to get the thing to show up in Win7.
@midfingr Yeah i got it to work a few days ago :) works awesome, all the lag is gone :D another neat tool for my "workstation" :P
I tried telling people on Pardus (my favorite online game and the only one where people are more mature than runescapers and halo fans, where playing the game is serious business) about this and even made my own tutorial for it, but there's always those few people who just can't resist torpedoing the whole topic <_<
Nice vid, but it keeps pausing and freezing on me...
oh and i'm trying this right now to save my HDD a bit, but my win7 doesn't show the new disk and i get the weird thing you were talking about when you check the load&save buttons... gonna see what a reboot does, i hate mysteries like this
Does it necessary to check Save and Load image? if I want to make just for cache files.. like page and profiles.
thanx.

You call "\" forward slash and "/" backslash. That's just wrong.

Bummer I get a run-time error `429`:
ActiveX component can't create object
The Dataram_User_Manual_35.pdf on the website says to run
Register Componets.bat to fix the problem but the bat file is nowhere to be found?

Wanted to mention to you at 8:27 of your HowTo Video Tutorial a correction needs to be made, AppData needs to be added into the string like so..
C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
