i think qiong yao's earlier productions like 'xue ke' were brilliant. the actors and actresses all acted well and had superb chemistry. This is an amazing scene. I usually dislike ma jingtao for his exaggerated acting, but he is magnificent as a villain here. The grt chemistry he shared w his co-stars helped alot too.
I love the actress-劉雪華,she look the best at that time, not too thin and she is someone that can act with her eyes. I love 琼瑤novels because most leading women in her novels wasn't just looking good. They are very strong inside and have the currage to face to the unfairness in life, they are all good hearted and "有骨氣"!and not materialistic. Not like some women in 亦舒 novels,they are "拜金", likes "喜寶","朱瑣瑣". (But don't take me wrong, I'm also the big fan of 亦舒, is just I prefer "有靈魂的女主角")

偶尔听到一些人盲目地批评:" 琼瑶的戏只有肤浅的情情爱爱, 完全脱离现实云云...." 听了之后很愤怒, 那帮人根本不懂得欣赏, 戏剧里面的爱情都是融合了当时的社会环境, 完全合情合理, 再加上动听的插曲和主题曲, 让人回味无穷, 感谢琼瑶, 带给我们许许多多美的享受.
