@sweeterthanhunni I understand, I just usually encourage people to look beyond ABDC for talent. Knowledge and appreciation for this art can only go so far on MTV. Competitions like Vibe and bboy events like Battle of the Year and International Breakdance Event hold the most talent in dance if you ask me. Im slightly jealous of your autographs btw.

eh imo km deserved 1st. TM is great but i felt that kaba had more styles, their transitions were amazing and they were really clean despite having alot of people on the stage. plus all the pieces were so sick that it's hard for me to pick my favorite (personally i like tonys the best).

i did see it when watching TM a lot of variety crazy transitions and the dances followed the theme. Kaba Modern and TM always put on a crazy show it must have been hard for the judges. Vibe XIII was prolly IMO the best one all the original dancers where with their original teams and happened before ABDC exposure.

Not really. Although the Live Auditions started before Vibe XIII, all the crews for Season 1 weren't doing the show until the 1st actual week of ABDC which was on the 1st or 2nd week of Feb 2008. Vibe XIII took place Jan. 27, 08, about one week BEFORE the actual start (week 1) of ABDC.

Kaba did a good job, the krump section was wack though. Why didn't the place 1st? because they truely only have one element which is the robotic moves and isolations, they can really ride the music like tm can ya know? TM had a theme, diverse styles, and they transitions and the way they formed themselves on stage were better. If you really watch TM, you'll see why they won. Kaba's nastyyyyy though, my favorite part was the tutting section.

I agree. They were totally out of their element during the Krumping. Mike did a decent job, but Krump is not really Kaba's thing. The breaking part was good too, but the breakers in Kaba are surrounded with too many dancers that don't break. Most of their choreo involves, locking, wacking, popping, isolations, and intricate stuff, not a lot of breaking stuff.

Yeah, their breaking never really stands out as much as their other stuff. But I do think that the breaking that the Vibe XIV Kaba Modern team did was really good, one of the best parts of that performance. I was honestly very surprised to see Kaba doing breaking that difficult.
