This is a most exquisite piece of engineering and you need to be applauded for it. The speed of the trains is terrific and the scenery is just great. Totally well done, you.!! A credit to the railway modelling fraternity.
A drive belt inside the track is handed between two drive motors. The train is attached to the drive belt at one end and the trolly is at the other end. They are attached by a clear tab to the drive belt through a thin slit in the middle of the track.

The train and trolley are at opposite ends of a section/strip of belt, which is timed just right as it is handed between two drive motors.
