For all the guys out there saying this is satch boogie stuff.. do some research about Joey, cause he had a great influence in Blues as his dad was quite a famous blues artist...
@RonWust Well, his webpage has been saying "New Homepage Coming Soon", and since the release of Plastic(2001) I have yet to see anything coming from him, so I figured he put the guitar down and started a merchandise firm(JTM), tho that page seems discontinued for some time and says "coming soon". Anything about Joey is interesting to me, did he stop producing forever, is he working as instructor still? is he healthy? I don't mean gossip or media news, I just wanna know he's ok. Love his work
check @ MADEINMAIDEN guy....fuck man, satriani is my idol and i love him, i heared about this guy like 20 minutes ago, i listened to some of his songs and i can tell you this: you guys who tell for this good song and many other good songs that are copy of something....you didn't hear about ''great minds think alike'' phrase?
first of all, carvin everything rules, i have a few heads and cabs and guitars and mixers, they all are awesome. 2ndly tony macalpine is awesome, 3rdly this song is awesome. does anyone know what joey is doing now?
yeah tony macalpine too thats why he switched to peavey and now ibanez speaks for itself really. i know i have owned three of them, and believe me its not just my opinion.

what a fookin weedy noise,i played carvin guitars and although beautifully easy to play they got a real shite sound,,exept if you just play in your bedroom,,,real quiet like,,,with headphones on,,,,,,in the dark,,,,when everybody's gone to bed,
just gotta ask... is joey still alive? I'm a big fan and have been checking his homepage since 2004... and from 2004, it says "New website comming soon." So if you know, please enlighten me.
I really like this stuff, sort of 'outside the box' to what a lot of musicians of this ilk play, excellent stuff. BUT!!! His tone is soooo thin it sets my teeth on edge.
I can't help but agree with him, he knows how to handle the sound but only through his technique. The behringer guitars of my 7 year old pupils sound like this too if they try it with distortion.
by sounds like do u really mean looks like? and by looks like do u really mean u can read the headstock? LOL seriously.. what exactly does a carvin sound like?
@fiskisgod Different pickups or wood for a guitar's body and neck can cause different tone, and different brands may have different combinations of these three factors, causing different brands to have different tones, or 'sounds'.
jajaja, it does sound so much just like that song! Amusing... I like Pepper Shake better. That one slow paced "chorus" segment, not sure what I can call it, hits me real deep. Joey is really damn good too though, I just started listening to his stuff today for the first time.
actually it sounds nothing like joes playing. Joey T seems to like slides alot more BUT they are both Extremely better guitarists than you or I and neither is better than the other...
joe and joey play together a LOT and are actually pretty good friends. they've done a few tours together and have done album work together.
my dad is REALLY good friends with Joey T. He goes over to my dad's house all the time.. when i was 6 i used to line up all the pegs on his guitar in a straight line and my mom would wonder why he freaked out cause it was out of tune. the guitar he's playing is the one i did that to, actually. :)
JTs Chops are amazing i would buy this CD infra Blue , i am kind of laughing ,i haven't seen a Bass slung that high scince Paul McCartney and the Early Beatles , i guss thats for chiropractic purposes LoL
Joey is an excellent player, if you can't tell that here, hearing Plastic wont help. Collabing with Tony MacAlpine and Paul Gilbert was cool, but in this album I think he found his own style. Plastic is great but is more of a studio only thing I think with all the harmonies and stuff.
wow i didn't know tafolla, it's really nice! a bit more fusion than all those guitar heroes crap, interesting.btw look at his face at 1:34 he's too happy!
I was in the audience(front row)..the sound was better live, the video didnt cature it as well. I also have a full recording of the concert...very good playing.
