  • need help guys, got a gt240 ddr5, and gtx 470 in sli, , they have different driver so i cant use the gt240 as my physx card, is there a driver that i can use that works with this kind of set up? thanks

  • Its a week cark . Gtx 275 or Ati 4870 .

  • Okay, it's not the most powerful card but we all already know this.

How could you imply a recommendation for the GTX275 or HD4870 against the GT240 as they are obviously not even in the same league.

Not all people require video cards for playing modern titles at 1920x1200 with 60+ FPS.

  • Yes . You are right ! . But if we need a card for business , and for some programing , than i would recommend an Ati 4350 ( 512 GDDR2 ) , or an Nvidia 9600GT ( 512 GDDR2 ) .

But in the same league ? Maybe an Ati HD 3600 , or a 9800GTS . I think its nonesence , that they mounted 1 GB GDDR5 memory in a mid end card .

  • Bang for buck at I am happy it plays smooth mind you the 4850 ATI is alot better... But double the money..

  • this ok for casual gaming and evryday computing. Dont buy this card if your gonna be playing lots of CoD 4, 6 or Crysis or system intense games like that.

  • This can easily push CoD 4 I have one and I can almost push max settings with 2x AA with 40 frames

  • nice. I guess i underestimated this card.

  • lol cod4 haha I'm getting over 100fps with the 8600 m GS

  • if i want to buy this product what should i check to see if it fits my computer (motherboard, case and so on)?

  • This is not SLI card you can use yust 1 card that is not that good !!!!!!!!!! But nice video man thx !!!!!!!!!

  • so 1Go ... with 128 bits ? tiny bus

  • GDDR5, double the speed of GDDR3. Makes up for it. Besides, a 128 bit bus is cheaper.

  • What is the equivalent for that GT240 ? 9600 GT ? 9400 GT ?

  • None, just more powerful than the 9600GT,but less powerful by the 9800GT

  • TYPO cards not cars

  • lol @ cars :D Yeah but anyway, I think it's the newest release currently but they're gonna release new "Fermi" cards in the beginning of the next year.

  • is this cars the newest release from nvidia? and finally they use ddr5

  • Nice lil card right there.

  • i think this 128bit card is to challenge the new 5770 and 5750's

  • again.... it so cute and tiny.

  • But it is 20th november 2009, where is he review?

  • Still producing it, I should have it up later today.

  • Can the: EVGA GeForce GT 240 Superclocked Video Card - 512MB DDR5 run...

Call of duty modern warfare 2 at max settings and 1600x900 res and keep at least 40-90 fps and not go down much in fire fights?

  • yes my son plays what the card on high and at 1600x1850 he gets 50-60 on the same game.

  • @mytube0000000000 Alright thanks.

  • Even at 1920x1200 and max settings on MW2 the EVGA GT 240 SC should hopefully keep above 40 FPS mostly.

  • when is nvidia going to release their dx11 cards?

  • tomorrow...

    or sometime before years end

  • we got a price for this?

  • It's a rebadged 9600/9800 gso card with some ddr5 slapped on it. STOP REBADGING YOUR PRODUCTS NVIDIA!!!!!

  • there doing this to make selecting a gpu easier for the not so technical people, becasue not everyone wants quad sli 295s, just something modest, so marketing their products in the particular 200 order makes it simple

  • I think there just being lazy on developing truly improved lower end cards.

  • GDDR5!!

  • is Palit dead or something? they don't have any good high performance cards I can find.

  • They have all the high end cards listed on their web site (like the GTX295 for example) but I think they might be more common in parts of Europe?? Only guessing. We used to see them more often in Canada but not so much now.

  • Ooh, frogs.

  • lawl, i thought it was a review and i started tripping out when i didnt hear sound.

    LOL

  • its not a gaming card..only 96sp's. but it goes have gddr5 which is a first for nvidia

  • Oh wow I didn't notice NVidia was using DDR5 now. Will their high end cards use DDR5 on a 512bit bus? Holly crap batman!

  • ya, its pretty awesome. I just got mine yesterday, Just make sure you get the 256 colors version, all the others are monochrome.

  • Can't wait for the review.

  • NVIDIA?! what

  • haha a frog=P

  • And a robot frog at that. This card must pwn! ;)

  • Hows the performance gap between a ATi 4670 and this? I know someone whos in the low end and was wondering if upgrading to a 4670 to a GT240 would be a decent performance increase.

  • Can it play Minesweeper on Advanced?

  • i dont think so dude that thing takes alot of horse power

  • Aw, man, dude... can it handle a desktop background with multiple colors?

  • maybe.

  • can it play mario?

  • If this card doesn't cost less than $100, then your better off getting a nVidia GTS 250, ATI HD 4770, o r an ATI HD 4850, they all perform better and are fall between $100-$130 price range.

  • why are they even bothering putting GDDR5 on a 9800 GT? futile

  • geared for low end pcs they could of atleast made it a 256bit card

  • Looking forward to the review tommorow.

I kind of like the way that cooler looks. The card would've looked better if the PCB was black or, possibly, the same orange as the fan.

  • piece of crap.while AMD/ATI are making monsters this is what nvidia are doing pff, idiots.

  • lolz,thats sooo true..

  • looking forward to see a review of the next star - ATi Radeon HD5970.

  • I was looking at this card but I run dual displays. I wish it had two DVI.

  • low end GFx card, outdated..

  • I was going to get this but I decided on the HD 4850 instead.

  • Good choice >D

  • @cncmasterw Why thank you. :D

I was going to get the GTS 250 instead BUT...the HD 4850 is significantly cheaper. :)

    I will be getting 2 HD 4850 1GB Cards, Crossfire ftw. :]

  • Yes you made a very good buy as the 250 is Nothing compared to the 4850 512 MB but you are getting 2 4850 1 GB. you sir Made a great deal >D

  • @cncmasterw Haha, yes, It's gonna be awesome once I put everything together, I'll make a video on here when the time comes.

  • ill be there to Rate Comment and Most Deff watch >D

  • @cncmasterw Thanks man. :] I'm not sure when it'll be up because my parents are giving me the money to buy the stuff. (I haven't bought it yet).

They kind of owe me the money and I should get it hopefully soon. xD

  • No prob. Ill be waiting on those videos. >D Lol. Wait so if your gunna spend at least 200$ on graphics cards why not go big and get a gtx 260? or 5770 Overclocked thats More performance then a 4850 for sure.! and your Dx11 future proof.

  • great choice

I have one of them :(

    it's my baby though :D

    amazing performance

  • amazing preformance? where in quake 3,counter strike?

  • yes in those

also in Assassins creed2, MW 2, L4D 2, Crysis etc...

    ;)

  • 5970 came out so i would really love to see review about that...not about nvidia products

  • Cini of coarse it is low end

  • meh... looks low-end...

  • What can this card be compared to Rodney?

It snuck up on me, I have never heard of it :)

  • it is more or less a 40nm version of the 9800gt I bealive

  • I would assume you would want an HD monitor with HDMI for best picture quality for this card, and others

  • I'm still using my 3 years old 7800 GT.

It still can play L4D at 1920x1080.

  • lol, anything can run l4D though :D

  • lol, not the 7300GS in my other system xD

(at least not on high settings)

  • i have a gts 240 =D

  • Be thankful Rodney does what he does. You obviously don't know how much time is involved in recording/editing a video.

  • Nobody knows!

  • Some people know!

  • True, folks who are doing what I'm doing ;) LOL

  • Hehe, I animate as a hobby XD Takes HOURS AND HOURS to get like 5 minuets of video XD

  • hmmm rodeny was this a request from palit or why are u sudenly putting pictures of the cards on youtube ...we can see them in the video

  • So far I'm only doing this for Video Cards. I'm doing it because it gives a close up perspective that you can't get from my Video Reviews or Unboxing Videos. I may in the future do this for all products.

  • oh ok i dont know what is was thinking...what u said does sound kinda right....tnx for doing it lookin forward to all reviews and unboxing's ;)

  • I've had many requests for picture videos to compliment the video reviews and unboxing videos, especially on hot products like video cards. So I'm really only catering to you guys ;)

  • great you are doing nvidia cards now!!

  • Yes, it's excellent. I look forward to reviewing PALiT and other NVIDIA related products in the future as well. I know many of you wanted me to also cover the NVIDIA side of things, well you now have your wish!

  • I might get to do a vid about my rare 7900 gtx duo (its a giant 12 1/4 inch card) and my repair job on my 8800gtx.

  • Keep it up, hope your review is good, i like them ;)

  • not a big fan of palit

  • I'm still producing the PALiT GT 240 Sonic 1GB GDDR5 Video Card review, but I hope to have it completed tomorrow evening.
