Brother...you said when suffering comes to suffer well. Next time a loved one is sick...don't take that person to the doctor. .let them suffer well. Aren't you going against God's devine appointment to rescue them? You should never pray for a sick person since God put it on them. This is so sad...that you can't understand Mark 11:24. Faith...believing is necessary. You have killed faith and half of the new testament. I am praying for you...to stop teaching others to suffer. So sad...
I Pray that we can find a Body of Believers for us to plug into that has a Pastor with the passion like Mark Driscoll. I am not at all interested in playing church. I LONG to find an ON FIRE body of believers & Pastor. w/a Shepard's heart. We are in Foristell MO Plant a church here WILL YOU!?!? :O)
Therefore (B)everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25"And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
And the rains came ///it rains on the just and the unjust ..Built on the rock AND THEN RAIN ..We are on the planet and know the rains comming..Questioan is are we on solid ground ..thank you for the rain 2
GREAT sermon! I have issues with a lot of Mark Driscoll's sermons simply because he goes too far and has a crappy (arrogant) attitude, but this was biblical, heartfelt, intense and 100% true and relevant! People need to hear THIS rather than the prosperity gospel and other harmful/false teaching about suffering.
"a lot of Mark Driscoll's sermons" Are biblical, heartfelt, intense and 100% true and relevant. You say he goes too far sometimes, yet you enjoy his intensity. Or do you mean he goes too far in that he preaches on subjects such as sexuality? If thats the case then that is religious thinking and not biblical because sex is taught in the bible. You say he is arrogant (??) How is he arrogant? He speaks truth (not 100% of the time. Yet who does) yes he is abrasive, but was jesus not also abrasive?
Was Jesus abrasive to the Pharisees and sadducess or was he humble and heartfealt to sinners? "Brood of vipers" to the pharisees, "Oh woman great is your faith" to the gentile woman. told the adulterous woman "Go and sin no more" and to the crowd that was ready to stone her, who tested Jesus in his knowledge "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
Clarity and sanity - no much needed - Thanks for the Holy Spirit

@slmagoon There's a big difference between a spanking as discipline and beating out of anger.

"Thou shall have no other gods before me"! Its one of the 10 commandments, ever heard of them. Pretty self explanitory!

Mark? Is it OK to worship somebody like Jimi Hendrix if you find the whole idea of "God" a bit too far fetched?
tony9L9L 2 years ago
NO!!! Jimi didn't die for your sins and he certainly can't get you into Heaven.
1misstish 2 years ago
@1misstish
Jimi died because a dumb german ice skater gave him some strong sleeping pills and he regularly sends me to heaven.
You get much more from Jimi than from Jesus.

Great message Pastor Mark, I've taught the faith message and the teaching of the prosperity/word faith, ruins lives.
Mark Driscoll is a genius.
