I am on the lookout for this movie. If it ever comes out on DVD, I'll get a copy. It is still unavailable as of December 2011. I guess it is because of copyright issues. Look at all these movie clips!
I still have my VHS copy. It's too bad that Paramount won't fork more money to get the rights to the films spoofed there so it can hit DVD, but hopefully cooler heads (with bigger wallets) would prevail.
@belianis That's the name of that one - "The White Gorilla". It was supposed to be like those Frank Buck movies, where he would attempt to act while "hunting" for wild animals. Those movies had to be the inspiration for Steve Irwin's stuff in the '90s.
Has my all time favorite snarky remark from Dan Aykroyd, commenting on Russ Tamblyn playing a high school hood during the teenage hoodlum movies sequence. After Tamblyn does a jaded, too cool to care bit, Aykroyd says, "yeah, it's tough being a 35 year old freshman.' That line floored me.
Two things Gilda Radner was hilarious and though these movies might have been ultra cheesy in their days they were at least entertaining to those who liked to sit through them.
thanks for posting this. i used to watch this all the time on cinemax back around '83. seeing this clip again brings back a lot of memories. this film was my introduction to many, many of the films that were featured here.
Gilda Radnor's bit at 04:00 - 5:40 is funny! It also makes me think of the news headlines. This is what the government & news media is trying to do to America today.
This movie is such an underrated classic what other movie can put together such a great all star cast of the best comedic actors with such great non squiturs and not be appreciated. I don't understand why this isn't out on DVD anywhere, its insane. But this is awesome man thanks for posting this. This brings back some good memories...love it!
As far as I know it's not out on DVD anywhere because it was deemed impossible to get/renew the rights for all of the many many films, or at least too time consuming and expensive.
Mrcharrio, this is a treat! I love this film! When DVDs first came on the market, they announced the release of this but it never came. Maybe, one day. Until then, I'm so glad you put it here!
Man this was pre-MST3K material, that was for sure. Now this is just great, I love Dan Aykroyd's laugh! This movie reminds me of those Looney Tunes compilation movies especially The Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Movie.

I thank you profusely, Mrcharrio, for putting this great documentary on YouTube. As a long time bad movie fan, I appreciate it.
That being said, HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT PHANTOM OF KRANKOR! Never interrupt the greatest b-movie villain in the middle of his epic speeches!

I got really high in '82 and saw this at the movies., it was almost good.
Not enough weed in the world to make this worthwhile.

LOL I love how Gilda gets more and more freaked out and hurried blocking her windows and stuff. HAHA! Those were good days.

Those ,,gorillas'' are so obviously PHONY!

@belianis This movie should have dedicated an entire section to insects, the animals of which people are most afraid
