I was expecting an epilogue and all there was is flashing pictures that occurred throughout the film. This isn't an epilogue of the film just stills of the film,
I forgot how beautiful the music AND colors of this movie are. The whole thing, right down to the main character, is so beautiful. I'll have to rewatch this sometime soon.
I still cannot believe this song was composed for the horror movie. And that's why I love it. The fact that it is "different", that breaks all the rules for how music in the horror movies should be. Byung-Wo Lee is simply one of the best musicians South Korea can ever have.
I for one feel that A Teal of Two Sisters was better then The uninvited. This does not mean that I don't like the Uninvited. Cause I do like it I just feel that the original is ten times better. Thank you for putting this song up. I could not find it anywhere else and nice job with the pics. <3
The music in this movie is one of the most beautiful things about it~ the American remake just killed all the emotion, sadness, and beauty of the original. This was supposed to be a tragedy where you can sympathize with the issues of the two troubled sisters and it wasn't building up to be the same suspense film we've seen over and over again. It had a lot more complexity to it than that. This original will just tug on your heartstrings and make tears fall from your eyes endlessly.
OMG This song is amazing ...A Tale of Two Sisters is a beautiful story ...
It's kinda sad from my point of view, cause when Su-mi found out her sister was dead and not actually there with her that whole time just her imagination, I felt so bad for her. Hollywood should NOT remake Asian / Japanese horror films into a American horror b/c they'll just ruin it. Thumbs up If you agree ! :)
You know, when the dad said "Su-young is dead" I was like "Huh"? but right then there I just realized something suspicious...the dad NEVER once addressed Su-Young throughout the whole entire movie. I felt so sad for Su-mi, the dad was so...insensitive. Feels so helpless...
@Chichiri520 I know right ! When the dad never talked to Su-young threw out the whole movie I was like hello she's right there ! Then at the end i was so confused lol.
This is so beautiful TToTT I don't understand why you guys bash the uninvited. They aren't bashing Tale of Two Sisters. This song make me think of my other favorite song writer, Joe Hisaishi. Not the same, but similar qualities <3 I love this song. Has anyone else noticed that is the same song but different ways of performing on the OST?
The same composer did the OST for the Korean movie 'The Host'. Basically the same tune throughout played in different styles, jazz, classical, marching band etc.
@MrsLeeDonghae28 as far as hollywood cinema goes, the uninvited was quite good in a time where j horror remakes had already left a bad taste in peoples mouth's, i loved both versions.
@KONrockShooterEmii Yeah, they kind of do. They both give me a kind of floatting feeling, if you know what I'm talking about. The songs both make me move my head from side to side and make my heart kind of.. ache, I guess. Sorry if you don't know what I'm talking about, or if you don't agree... XP
I listen to this song on a daily basis. I just can't stop. I love the way it makes my head sway from side to side every time I hear it. It's so sad as well. I think it really captures the tragedy of that girls situation in the film. To think, the only films I've seen from South Korea are this and "Old Boy" and they both have some of the most beautiful music I've heard in film.
This movie wasn't meant to be scary.... It actually see as more of a drama.... its actually a rly sad story, but if it wasnt scary, the whole thing would be pointless
@Heartaken ...The "UnInvited" is supposed to be the American remake of "A Tale of Two Sisters". But it was re-written to make the story easier to follow so "The UnInvited" can be considered to be a another movie, with a similar theme, instead of a remake. Remake or independent movie? that classification might be determined by those who have seen both.
@CrimsonValley I'm American and I agree :/ Asian horror movies may not be "terrifying" per se, or something you'd have nightmares about later, but they do seem to be much more rooted in the more human, emotional aspects of whatever struggle is going on, whereas American remakes & original horror movies are focused around sex and violence. I personally prefer feeling an emotional investment in a movie, and American horror movies just don't do that for me.
This movie made me think so much of the bond between sisters and all this pshycic
conection with one another
That american horror movies often focus on sex and viloence is a little sadening; I think they can be deeper than that, it just seems that they're so stuck with what they have now that they won't try
AAAAAA this makes it look all calm and nice but... fucking hell did the movie scare the shit out of me. The cutoff point for the build-up and stuff is the dinner scene, after that the rest of the movie is a psychological ride through hell. Great great movie, brilliantly touching ending... but fucking hell, this video is MISLEADING! Beware! This is a horror movie and it WILL scare you. Just so that you know...

i wish i didn't see the american version but i liked the "uninvited" im planning on seeing this tonight though ^_^ im perrty shure its going to be better than the american version though, thats how it always is.
bye the way this is a beutiful song... whats the name of it?
From what I hear both movies are great, and I see all these comments on here, Hating on The Uninvited, do you see hatred on videos of The Uninvited? No, They /KINDLY/ that they prefer the American version, whereas you guys show no respect towards the movie makers at all and just insult them harshly.
I thought the US version was actually pretty good. It was a lot better than I expected. Overall it's not as good as the original Korean version, but there were some parts that I liked better than in the Korean version.
Wow. A lot of people here hated The Uninvited. It wasn't that bad and the film boosts some terrific performances and it's well made. Sure, it's a remake but that doesn't make it a bad film, especially considering "The Departed" was also a remake of a Hong Kong film. I'll give a film credit when it's a good film and it's obvious "The Uninvited" is a well made film. It's one of the better remakes these past few years.
The American Version disappoints me. Its track is so obvious. It shows from the start on that this HAS TO BE a horror movie. I'm so glad that i watched the korean version first. So this flash is not taken away. Love the k-OST ♥ ..
hola qtl??he escuchado este tema cantado por un hombre creo que en japones y me gustaria saber que es lo que dice esta cancion preciosa ...si fueses tan amable de decirmelo..un saludo.
@pat5380 Lo siento. No sé español. Esta canción es cantada por los coreanos, los japoneses no saben que canción. canciones coreanas que he sido un álbum de banda sonora. Por favor, escuchen a nosotros.
I love this song! This movie is profoundly sad. It's an excellent film. The American version (The Uninvited) really missed the mark on the heart/point of the story. Is the Uninvited terrible? Not really as a stand-alone, but in comparison it was more superficial. Most American horror films these days lack that great mix of emotion and eeriness.
Too bad that some people just cant appreciate good Horror-movies such as AToTS, because this is way better than any of these crappy american splatter-movies! And the music is so amazing
If I found out that I could have saved my sister but let her die because of some petty argument, I would probably go mad as well. Anyway this track sounds so lovely!
Even i agree i wished america would stop copying asain movies because they are ruining them. Asian make some of the best horror ever. Asians no how to make horror and also they are very good at maths too lol, which i love. America do it to get there faces on tv but asian people do it because they are good at it and not a cheap actor or actress! I love korea and a lot of asia!
@neil22100 actually asians keep repeating their whole grudge thing..have u seen how many grudged theme movies there are with some asian with super long hair moaning? it's annoying.
@Arin72794 all asians scare me for some reason XD lmao when ever i see one i automatically think grudge or some scary asian horror movie XD scurry. but i do love asian people they are awesome non the less ♥♥
@neil22100 perpetuating racism yet again -people are people- you're either human or not - blame hollywood, compliment specific humuans. Don't put people in a box.
@neil22100 agree. and the problem is also that people outside asia know only american remakes but they don't know the original ones. and mostly, many people outside asia have never seen an asian horror movie. many people think asians do only martial arts movies.. sad. many people are not enough open-minded to get over stereotypes and to have interests in movies from other countries..
@neil22100 I don't think your right, I've watch a lot of Asian movie and the American actors are better at acting from what I've seen. And the American companies have more money for the movies..
@neil22100 I think they just do that because generally, us americans are dumber and therefore would not be able to process the whole move if the plot was the same as this one.
tis movie is kinda confusing since u dont kno if the wat su-mi is see is real or fake. but i fell in luv wit tis movie some how, wat a crappy step mom (not gonna say much more for people tat havent watch tis movie) but tis movie totally deserve a 5/5
I wouldnt say this is a masterpiece, but it's really good. The scary scenes were kinda too cliche for me. But the acting, story, characters and visuals were amazing, the only problem I had with the film was the ghost parts... it showed waaaay too much
I love this movie, but everytime I watch 'The Uninvited'(The US remake aka butchering) I get angry. It wasn't clever at all how they tried to throw the plot twist at you, the director just copied the Sixth Sense in a way to make the Univited! It's best to watch the original film first! (Although I didn't really like Juon or Ringu).
@Jadasan I liked The Uninvited at first, but then when I saw Tale of Two Sisters, the remake just seemed so shallow in comparison. The Uninvited just didn't have the same emotion as ATOTS, it was mainly based around the shock value of the violence; and as for the girls, they didn't have the same sisterly bond that Su-Mi and Su-Yeon have, it was like the older sister was just...there. It just takes so much away from the story when that bond is missing :[
I agreed, this movie is a masterpiece. A visual effort Hitchcock would approve of. "hard to understand"...quite right. But it helps if you have the right perspective.
"Epilogue" is the title of the piece, not the film epilogue...get your facts straight :/

@pat5380 Lo siento. No sé español. Esta canción es cantada por los coreanos, los japoneses no saben que canción. canciones coreanas que he sido un álbum de banda sonora. Por favor, escuchen a nosotros.

Those two sisters are kinda sweet aren't they?
Hampe966 1 year ago
I love this song! This movie is profoundly sad. It's an excellent film. The American version (The Uninvited) really missed the mark on the heart/point of the story. Is the Uninvited terrible? Not really as a stand-alone, but in comparison it was more superficial. Most American horror films these days lack that great mix of emotion and eeriness.

Too bad that some people just cant appreciate good Horror-movies such as AToTS, because this is way better than any of these crappy american splatter-movies! And the music is so amazing

@ILoveMyPlayStation
I hate American splatter movies and I love asian pshycological horror. However, this movie throws too much random plot twists at you to be good.

If I found out that I could have saved my sister but let her die because of some petty argument, I would probably go mad as well. Anyway this track sounds so lovely!

The movie is just too good...i dont understand why some people din't get the plot by watchin it once...

I love korea and a lot of asia!
neil22100 1 year ago 37
@neil22100 actually asians keep repeating their whole grudge thing..have u seen how many grudged theme movies there are with some asian with super long hair moaning? it's annoying.
Arin72794 1 year ago
@Arin72794 all asians scare me for some reason XD lmao when ever i see one i automatically think grudge or some scary asian horror movie XD scurry. but i do love asian people they are awesome non the less ♥♥

@neil22100 perpetuating racism yet again -people are people- you're either human or not - blame hollywood, compliment specific humuans. Don't put people in a box.

@neil22100 i don't agree on the just Asian .. its all about who the person is not there race.. and not all Asians are from Asia haha... >.<
TheOwllicker 1 year ago
@neil22100 agree. and the problem is also that people outside asia know only american remakes but they don't know the original ones. and mostly, many people outside asia have never seen an asian horror movie. many people think asians do only martial arts movies.. sad. many people are not enough open-minded to get over stereotypes and to have interests in movies from other countries..
krystal3091 1 year ago 4
@neil22100 I don't think your right, I've watch a lot of Asian movie and the American actors are better at acting from what I've seen. And the American companies have more money for the movies..
missmanga08 1 year ago
@neil22100 I think they just do that because generally, us americans are dumber and therefore would not be able to process the whole move if the plot was the same as this one.

such a masterpiece movie............
lang2135 1 year ago
I wouldnt say this is a masterpiece, but it's really good. The scary scenes were kinda too cliche for me. But the acting, story, characters and visuals were amazing, the only problem I had with the film was the ghost parts... it showed waaaay too much

I love this movie, but everytime I watch 'The Uninvited'(The US remake aka butchering) I get angry. It wasn't clever at all how they tried to throw the plot twist at you, the director just copied the Sixth Sense in a way to make the Univited! It's best to watch the original film first! (Although I didn't really like Juon or Ringu).
Great movie...beautiful song!

@Jadasan i meant to push the thumb up button! DX but i totally agree with you.

@Jadasan me too! haha im really mad when i saw the twist ! haha
xsingle09x 1 year ago
@Jadasan I liked The Uninvited at first, but then when I saw Tale of Two Sisters, the remake just seemed so shallow in comparison. The Uninvited just didn't have the same emotion as ATOTS, it was mainly based around the shock value of the violence; and as for the girls, they didn't have the same sisterly bond that Su-Mi and Su-Yeon have, it was like the older sister was just...there. It just takes so much away from the story when that bond is missing :[
