I think if the iPhone 5 were to maintain a similar size factor to those of its predecessors and have a bigger screen then apple will be on to a winner

iPhone 5 will probably maintain a smaller size like the iPhone 4 did so it will differentiate itself from the iPad and hit high ppi easily.

My guess for iP5(if they keep current 3:2 ratio) is 1152x768@ 4.2" = current retina's 329.65ppi

GS3 on the other hand will be 1280x720/800@ 4.65 = 315.83/324.61ppi

The GS3 will have 36,864/139,264 more pixels but 13.82/5.04 less ppi, and theres still no telling if samsung will give up it's OLED to apple for the iP5, so the GS3 just maybe the final nail

why are they making the screens bigger on the S G 3 the s2 screen in my view is to big really annoying when i take my phone out and put it in my pocket. its getting a bit silly i own s2 bu i did own the ip4 and its size was perfect. they shouldve made the ip4s with same footprint but bigger screen. nd for god sake all phone makers we want stereo sound not mono speakers , steel bodies, and a dam camera button

@XRiickX you got that all wrong, Samsung was in the game long before Apple, making money, Samsung makes the parts for the Apple products, if it werent for Samsung, Apple wouldn't have a manufacturer and thus wouldnt have products, your gonna talk about Foxcom, which is true yes, but Foxcom doesnt really manufacture everything they more or less assemble it, the Processors for example are Samsung made.

@JRDShamrock It's true Samsung does make these products for apple. But, Apple do design it and Samsung build it. Screens everyone wants the Amoled screens they are brilliant screens. Samsung probably do ram and storage for Apple also. Foxcom are cheap and nasty according to rumours they can't even get the up and down volume buttons the right way up.

True Samsung doesn't need Apple, and Apple found out this year they need Samsung more. Small trial on getting their cpu's made elsewhere failed.

The rate that android is pumping out phones its going to be a little harder for apple to take over the market again, I mean for crying out loud you have android phones entering the market as cheap as 30 dollars and even free sometimes.
