Not a good argument; even if you think Malouda is better, which he isn't, it doesn't make sense for at least two reasons. 1. You need more than one player at each position, it is a squad game. 2. Zhrikov isn't just a winger, he is a world class left back which he showed at the Euros.

English fans are so out of touch with reality it is scary; there is more than to the world than the Premiership, despite what your media crams into the whole your brain used to be.

ashley cole is world class, he only had a bad first season , hes been our 2nd best player this season after lampard. But i agree u cant have malouda and ashley cole and thats it, i want zhirkov, hes an exciting player and uno he might be better than malouda next season, because malouda played last year even when he stunk up the place, no more of that nonsense, he needs competition. Plus i dnt see whats wrong with a left footed winger playing on the right. You remember Robben and Duff?

Thats a good point, lots of world class players play on their "wrong" side; like Messi and Ribery. Zhrikov hasn't really ever played on the right for any extended period of time, but I imagine he would be just fine.

tbh with u, marxistsoldier has a point, i mean there wasnt a bigger malouda hater than me a few months ago, but his form in the last third of the season was very very impressive, he was playing better than lamps then, hes really turned things around for himself and he deserves a starting role next season,
