@badmofo529 You must not have much car audio experience if you see Hifonics as a bad investment. I'm all about Rockford Fosgate, but even I can appreciate a well installed Hifonics setup. I respect their products because they are a low cost, above-decent, quality product manufacturer. They aren't the greatest, but I've owned several of their products and they work just fine if not great. Their 2011 lines are superb in quality and most of their amps are now CEA-Certified for output ratings.

@badmofo529 what im tryna say is, NO ONE has to have a million dollar system to be loud and sound good. my system I had since I was 14, im 17, and its still going strong. my 15s are loud and they do get low, Ive played 20 htz before and it moves alot of air. thats all that matters, I dont need a thousand dollar amp to sound good. hifonics and kicker, dude you would be suprised if you heard my system. and anyone can hit well over 140 with 2 15s inside the truck cab

It's rated high like that at 14.4 volts SOLID. Which means everything is electrically sound, upgraded alt/ multiple alts, 2 or 3 batteries, Runs of some thick-ass cable. Hifonics is actually known for being right at rms or slightly above at 14.4 volts as well. It's all in your electrical system. If your car can supply the amplifier with this current constantly, you'll never get the true rms out of an amplifier...

@BENSYARDSERVICE Their BXI line was more efficient and bench tested better results. But if you are looking to spend money on quality subwoofers, look into quality amplifiers. You won't notice a difference until you actually try a Sundown, DC, Stetsom, American Bass, Crescendo, etc. Sure the Hifonics can put out rated numbers AT 14.4V, but look into some bench results of the higher lines of amps. Sundown for example yields results 500-1000wrms higher than rated and at a lower TDH than the others.

@BENSYARDSERVICE I should have guessed your channel was full of Maxxasonics product. Don't worry, i'm speaking out of experience. I have ran the BXi-608, BXi-1210d, BXi-1610d, BXi-2010d, and the Bxi-2610d. They were INCREDIBLE amplifiers for the money invested. Go to sonicelectronix and check the ratings. They are ALL at 14.4V, not 12V. The 2610d was the only one that did rated at 13.5V and above. Every other amp lost efficiency as well as power quickly after a larger drop.

@BENSYARDSERVICE Same story with the BRZ line. Difference being, the BXI-2610d doing a rated 2,600wrms @ 14.4V was cheaper than the BRZ-2400.1. Main cost point being the new heatsink and amplifier casings built to help "cooling to increase efficiency" are more expensive to make and mass produce. I loved my Hifonics amps. On a single 15" DC XL I managed to pull a 143 @ 38Hz on my BXi-2010d. After an amplifier swap and box rebuild I managed to raise my score to a 145.XX droping my peak to 34Hz.

@BENSYARDSERVICE Don't think i'm talking out of my ass, like I said, I ran Maxxasonics products for 4 years, and until you try a higher quality amplifier, you have no idea what you're missing out on. Tinsel leads seem to last longer due to less clip on voltage drop. You can run at a lower nominal impedance to compensate for all box and impedance rise. The extra money you have to save is WELL worth it. It sucks when you have to sit there with low cash and use the "budget" excuse.
