  • I want a 500cc 2 stroke (slowed down a bit) street bike. Just imagine the look on anyone's face when you hit the power band, not to mention the awesome sound.

  • @paco111ification Imagine the look on YOUR face when you hit the powerband hahaha. 2 stroke 500? No thanks :/ haha

  • @soul111smasher It would be one of pure enjoyment.

  • Good looking bike! shame it looks so fragile. but i guess thats just appriopriate for the characteristics of the bike

  • i have 1 aprilia 125 200 km

  • is the aprilia rs 125 (2 stroke) still being produced?i mean in 2012:)

  • @GameBuzzTV no

  • I have the '09 model and i live in south africa , this bike is street legeal here , Great bike from the best bike manufacturer around (aprillia fan) Love the bike and if you want one dont worry just buy it. (little pricey but money's worth)

  • probably when i get A1 driving category

i will want one of these

A1driving licence means bikes up to 125cc

A driving licence means bikes up to xxxxcc

  • The only problem is the 2 stroke engine....

  • @Lp4life4 Um.. no? Why would that be a problem?

  • street legal in Great Britain too

  • Is this a good beginner motorcycle? Looking to purchase my first bike someone brought this one to my attention

  • Why cant you ride these on the street?

  • @charliewormald I assume no blinkers

  • @charliewormald It's a 2-stroke. US EPA doesn't allow anything on the street (legally) with a 2-stroke engine over 50cc's. This is why you still see 2-stroke scooters and mopeds. It has been this way in the US since, I think, the early 80's.

  • for a 2-stroke, how come it doesn't sound as terrible as Kawasaki KIPS?

  • funyn how it is street legal in almost every country but norway

  • Man i wish this bike was legal in the US.

  • @1775edde why are they ilegal ?! are you 100% sure they are ?!

  • @EnargyMusic They are Not street legal, but you can use it in the track.

pisses me off that they allow people to use a bicycle with a cheap motor taped to it while you cannot use a 125cc

  • @1775edde why though??? there not powerful enough?

  • @EnargyMusic Well I researched it and got this from yahoo answers:

"Due to low demand, the distributors do not import them into the country. And since they do not import them, they have not been inspected and tested to make sure that they comply with US regulations, such as emissions. Without that certification, they can not be legally licensed for the street... and many highways have speed limits which would make it hazardous for smaller bikes."

  • @totallynotjonathan How come it isn't road legal in the US? It is here in the UK, what's the difference?

  • @TheWoWgal Well I researched it and got this from yahoo answers:

"Due to low demand, the distributors do not import them into the country. And since they do not import them, they have not been inspected and tested to make sure that they comply with US regulations, such as emissions. Without that certification, they can not be legally licensed for the street... and many highways have speed limits which would make it hazardous for smaller bikes.

It's mostly the people, not the government.

  • I love thin bikes and this would seal the deal for me too bad its not street legal here in the US

  • In Bulgaria u have to be 16 to ride this bike lol

  • @Antonioableful kude 16 be // M kategoriq e za 50cc a za 125cc kato taq e za a1 kategoriq i iskat 17 god

  • lol street legal in ireland for 16 year olds

  • It's street legal everywhere, why not US?

  • @GuilhermeCosta1992 most likely emissions.

  • @GuilhermeCosta1992 2-stroke and too cool for you! :DDD (you meaning americans)

  • @MultiRollOff lol, I'm from Portugal... I was just wandering why they are always a bit late on bikes

  • I am American and I own one. No problemo. My state does not have emissions test, however one needs to buy the kit to make it street legal. Kit has new wiring harness, mirrors, lights, tailpiece, and license bracket. Since I work at an Aprilia dealership, it was not a big deal. I use it as a daily rider and commute motorcycle. But it is a lot of fun too. The bikes delivered to USA were set to full power with power valve opening at 9K. This bike is a hoot!!!

  • @PanzerChip but still it could be as easy as in EU...all u need is money.

  • @MultiRollOff Ich stimme zu.....(it means "I agree")

  • @GuilhermeCosta1992 See above comment. You can make them street legal if your state does not have emission tests for motorcycles.

  • lol i will buy this for street

  • what is the top speed stock?

  • Do yourselves a favour and don't buy second hand, it's very risky. These bikes ask to be thrashed and if your not buying new, be prepared to do an engine rebuild. These bikes are great fun never the less.

  • can some1 say me plz if bike can ride 2 with no biger power lose?

  • fuck its sexy!

  • why isnt streetlegal in usa :O

    it's legal in europe xD

  • @error262 They can be made street legal, but cannot be imported that way due to emissions. However, if the state you live in does not have emissions test for motorcycles, adding the street legal kit will get you on the highway in style.

  • @PanzerChip no no no no they're SOLD street legal...you dont need any kits and sh*t [btw I'm from Croatia]

  • what i got to do to get one? e-mail

  • I got one <3

  • Jeez. 280 pounds. That's awesome.

  • 32 likes 4 stroke :/

  • @MrFako100 well, 4 stroke is better, since it eats less petrol, but it sounds a bit lame for me. :D

  • i have one, i live in norway, it`s awsome

  • is it faster then cbr 250?just asking I know 250 has a more power then 125 but this little machine looks awesome :))

  • @jab300

So because it looks awesome its faster? Mmkay

  • @jab300 125 2T would have about the same power to a 4T 250

  • Thank you EPA for fucking over 2-strokes... =/

  • @MrLovestospoog i hate the epa but we still have 2 strokes around in canada this one is street legal in canada if seen it on the road lots of times

  • Why put head lights on it if it's only a track bike?

  • @thegoku999 its a road legal bike in europe ,

  • @thegoku999

Because its not a track bike, its street legal in Europe.

  • if u ask me its stupid.......

  • what its the point to have a aprillia in us if you can`t ride it on the street?:p

  • street legal in finland

  • People who say this bike is slow are simply flaunting their ignorance for those of us who know better. Two strokes can make considerably more power for their size. It's simple physics that a lower mass requires less energy to change directions/velocities. Obviously this bike won't win many (if any) races in a straight line, but tradeoff is a machine that simply cannot be beaten by large bikes in the twisties. In that aspect, the 125 actually is fast and the bigger bikes are in reality slow.

  • I believe it's illegal because of emissions in America, because it's a two stroke. Im from Canada and it wouldn't be legal here I know, because its two stroke. Oh well, at least we

Get the 125 cbr for the street

  • To everyone who is saying that it's slow... it's not a motorcycle for overweight power junkies that have never been on a track who brag about how they ride a 1000 on the internet where no one cares. It's a bike for enthusiasts who take pride in what they ride and want a bike that will go around corners properly and deliver a riding experience unlike any other. Not to mention that it would rape any big bike around a circuit...

  • @Stratocaster05 it would certainly NOT rape ANY big bike around the race track!!!

  • @Stratocaster05 hmm by your saying it should win over a yamaha r1 or kawi zx10r ? get over with it its a bike for 16 y old's when u hit 18 get a big one an d that's it

  • lmao. So slow.

  • legal here in britain, thats all i know..lol

  • Why's this illegal?

  • @iToKeGraDe cause of the carbon emissions of two strokes.

  • how is a 125cc illegal doesnt make sense :L

  • @ Igari 88 Are you stupid why would we give you money

  • Street legal in Scotland - derestricted they can touch 100mph

  • streetlegal in norway

  • @Sindre961 street legal in most of europe

  • @Sindre961

for strenge regler i USA :P er ikke ofte man ser de i norge :P skulle vært fler :D

  • @Sindre961

    in Sweden too

  • @97vicke in finland too:D

  • @Sindre961 make that finland too :)

  • @Sindre961 In Holland to!! :)

  • 2-strokes are street legal in Sweden

  • in germany it's legal

  • How hard would it be to swap in the engine from a totaled Kawa or Honda 250?

  • its street legal almost everywhere if you have the street kit which gives it mirrors, tail lights and a place for plates

  • how fast aprilia 125 can go without kit? default bike

  • @POZDRAW max 120-125 kmh and 0-100kmh in 12 13s

  • @8Bera8 lol what a slow shit

  • Street legal in UK too, i'm hopefully getting one as my second bike.

  • Well in Singapore, It's Street Legal.

  • how the hell is the front end staying down on this thing?

  • So this guy has a ktm 300 cc two stroke street legal dirtbike but u cant have this????

  • To follow up my other comment...people in NA can buy the kit from Aprilia to convert the bike to street use, therefore making it street legal.

  • Most of the comments on here are from completely uninformed people...

The reason the RS125 is not STREET LEGAL in the USA (and Canada) is because they were shipped here as race bikes. This means they did not include things like turn signals, mirrors, kickstand, license plate bracket etc. These things are obviously required for road use. That is the ONLY reason you cant legally take it on the road in North America.

In Europe they sold the bike in either race OR street trim.

  • In Germany you can ride it on streets

  • Americans are a buch of douchebags. They drive large and quick cars. But they are allowed to only drive 80 mph in one state. Your fucking country is enormous and you drive only 80? And they tell you this is because of safety? Jesus, cars are advanced nowdays why drive so slowly if you can go so much quicker. Why does an American buy a V8 if he can't drive it. Here in Holland which is much more dense we even have parts who do 80 mph. And in our neighbour country Germany it is not even limited.

  • we can all thank the eviromentalists for this big switch in america to four strokes, cant even buy a brand new bike nowadays that even has an ounce of the power the big bore two strokes used to have

  • Americans are fuking stupid!! They all drive big 6.2 litre trucks that do like 90mph and 3mpg and they won't allow you to have a 2-stroke?

  • Why is this illegal in the us .... i live in the uk and these are legal ... i have one , its a brilliant bike , girl love it ! ;) haha

  • Comment removed

  • @marco6789yeah this is a motorcycle

  • its legal in norway, but not in the US wtf

  • wow illegal in the US but not in the UK

  • i dont understand y ts illegal its sooo small lol

  • @DrJCCC20 because its a 2 t engine that make more co2 emissions then 4 t but definitely not more than a big car.

  • This guy cannot pronounce words for shit.

  • I just love that it isn't banned in my cuntry! ... though i konda see (from a senceble point of view) why it should be banned, cuz mine consumes the same amount of fuel per kilometer as a new school bus.. that's ofcause because it isn't exacly standard! And alot of blue smoke.

About 11 kolometers per liter, or around 30 miles per gallon - however I believe that a standard does twice that.

  • @Xcelld That's bad man, I know most Americans are just as intelligent as most people in Australia, but fuck, Your government can be fucking stupid sometimes!

  • Sounds like a fuckin chainsaw

    RS125 < RZ500

  • tbh id go for either the 4stroke version of the gilera sc125 or 4stroke derbi gpr125

  • 2 Stroke ftw.

  • I hate that 2-stroke noise. My personal opinion.

  • @Dudesonfan

    2 STROKES HAVE MORE POWER...

    BUT SOUND SHIT

  • @noscopesnipa I dont deny it :)

  • 5.500$ ... Ridiculous!!!! XDXD you can buy a used 600cc or even an old 1000cc for that!

  • @Bence316 Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking. But then again, it's a racer. It may be only a 125, but it's meant for racing. A Ninja 250 is only $4,000. I'd say go with that. lol

But this thing does look pretty amazing for only a 125.

  • @Khaosreign Hmm... You know... Im 6'1/186cm high and weight 286pounds/130kg!!! I think I would look "PRETTY AMASING" on it!!! XDXD

  • This is a great bike to learn to race on because it's so lightweight so body position makes a huge difference and it'll help you get into good habits that way.

  • ahhhh! its not a one twenty five, its a one two five!!!! Just like a triumph 675 is not six seventy five, its a six seven five.

  • @stonedrose81 wow ur a fukin nob it is one tweny five its a hundred and twenty five cc engine u fukin lil retard

  • @davenewton182 So it would be an RS one hundred and twenty five then wouldn't it dickhead!

  • are 2 strokes made before the law came into place allowed on the road in USA?

if no, then i would just like to say HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA on behalf of europe

  • you cant take it on the road in usa? that sucks

  • i loving my 2011 2stroke rs125 gotta love living in Australia

  • cant wait for the 2012 version of this bike.. 4 stroke street legal hoooray !!

  • how fast is this bike when its stock??

  • i breath out more CO2 than the RS

  • fucking treehuggers

"oh co2 is killing the trees and the planet"

ok so a bit of science for you

    an engine makes co2 correct?

a tree breathes in co2 and breates out oxygen

so engines are actually helping the world and dont damage the ozone

  • @noscopesnipa a very scientific explanation there!!! :D

  • @AliFugginB aaahahahah, i agree :D

He doesn't understand how that works :D

He got the basics right though

  • @noscopesnipa awesome explanaion!xD

you know; en engine exhausts a lot more than just co2, but anyway co2 is not the problem 'cause 1 eruption from a middle-sized volcano throws out about as much (or more) co2 than the human race "produced" since about middle of the 19th century

still, it's just plain stupid to say engines help the world... ROFL

  • so you can buy a hummer but not a 125cc bike... rofl

  • Street or Track, it's the same planet. lol

  • lolololol i live in england and we are allowed to ride this on the road, i just baught the 2010 model today

  • i know you can run it on the track but not the street what the fuck is the differance its still going in the air. even though we know global warming is a bunch of shit to govern what we can and cant drive. they use it for everything as an excuse. but its never been proven lol. id like to kick a tree huggers ass.

  • So what stops me from making it street legal?

  • @heartlesspinto 2 stroke engines releases much more CO2 than 4-stroke ones. And with all that global warming and green house effect every square inch of CO2 matters.

  • @MichelIchiy If that's what you think, i really hope you're living without electricity, transportation, eating nothing but food you find outside, etc. The computer you are on has a carbon footprint of its own.

  • @heartlesspinto I don't "think" that. That's real facts. I'm not saying its wrong, just that politicians thought would be better. 4-stroke engines have proven to have better performance of miles/gallon, and have lower CO2 emission than 2-stroke. What really stops you from making it street legal is the authorities and the Kyoto Protocol. I love this bike man, I wish I could buy one too. But imagine a country like China where there's a milions motocycles and if they all were 2-stroke.Just politics

  • @MichelIchiy I was replying to "every square inch of c02 matters." There are obvious advantages to having a 4 stroke motorcycle. Not every motorcycle would be a 2 stroke as the 4 stroke cannot be replaced. I don't see what's wrong with having a 2 stroke if i can have numerous other gas guzzling vehicles. This has nothing to do with my question. I've seen people with street legal 2 stroke dirt bikes. Just wondering if there is something specific to this bike that makes it impossible.

  • Hell yeah!! 2 stroke power!! This bike and the Cagiva Mito rulez!!!

  • I can't get my head around this emissions thing, I mean, the entire transport sector (aviation included) accounts for less then 2% of total carbon emissions. what harm is this one bike really going to do?

  • is this bike oil injected? or do you have to mix the gas and oil before hand?

  • soo cutee

  • How can u.s.a ban the Aprilia Rs125??? You poor guys, you're missing out on so much two stroke fun!!!!!!!!!

  • im 17 next may i can't w8 to get 1 be fucking fat just piss all over my m8's

  • it sucks that nice bike can't be ridden in the street

  • jeeaaaa germany ftw ^^ i have one and i'm allowd to drive it on the streets^^

  • Comment removed

  • if a bike has high emissions then how do they drive trucks or buses on the streets that run on pure oil!

  • hopefully getting one for my 17th in a few months wooooo

  • @samr500

yeh me too<3 5000euro. i need to work my ass off

  • @samr500 i'm 17 in 10 days and getting one, i can't wait, it WILL be awesome.

  • what the hell you all keep complaining about. Bike is always a bike the only thing no matter whether is 2 stroke or 4 stroke. The art of riding a bike is individual talent and skills. Cmon guys we are bikers man. And its legal in asia. I have one myself.

  • @7128207 and it is legal in holland, why should it be illegal?

  • fuck 2T engine. they are a complete failure

  • @DKGate7Ultras WRONG, they more efficient as you get a power stroke every 360 degrees of the camshaft rather than every 720 degrees like in a 4-stroke, also 2-strokes usually puts out about 1.5 times the power of a 4-stroke with the same size engine. LOL

  • the 125 is illegal, but people can drive cross country in a hummer. hmmm........

  • @stuntflix this is legal in finland :P

  • @TimbeMovies we need more street legal small bikes here in the US, they're pretty much nonexistent here :(

  • @stuntflix its barely legal in canada THE FUCKING GM MONOPOLY

  • hahah rs 125's aren't road legal in the USA? Here in the UK they're perfectly legal? I love my rs 125, what a machine.

  • move to europe.. not illegal

  • @christmaspoo911 and move to australia..not illegal here either!

  • @SexMaster16 :I

  • 125cc....If I get to createa motorcycle this days , id throw a aprilia 125cc engine in it....KTM and Aprilia are the most popular 125cc bikes...

  • @Brain245able some of Aprilia's are powered by Rotax engines i.e. this one on the vid, as well. As you can learn watching (and listening to) the vid.

  • illegal in the states? oh man im so getting one now! =P

  • סלין דיון שירים

  • alowed in sweden <333333

  • Is it available in 4-stroke?

  • @scozzahisee No 2 stroke only

  • This is about the sexiest bike there is. There's something about a lil 280 pound, 17,000 rpm bike that really gets me.
