She took a break from the industry cause she wanted to live her OWN life instead of being under someone else controlled. In other words she wanted to BREAK FREE. i really dont like this performance, why is she just shouting i dont like that shoutin rubbish it dont sound good, it shows weakness to the performance. Lauryn can sing and the band should have been on point to cover for her cracked vocals that night...James Brown didn't put up with no bad timing in his band and neither should any seasoned performer.

i LOVE lauryn - old AND new - but i agree that drummer was wayyyy off at times - thank goodness she switched him up with the quickness later in her tour ( i saw her in Brooklyn and she and the band were great)
