that im telling.... im not capable to play rach 3rd, but the little what i can i developed alone, without music reading, piano teachers, classes, etc, just pure and most sincere intuition
I'm taking lessons under the Royal Conservatory, grade 9 level, yet I agree with you. You have to have the knack for it. A musical inclination. You can't really TEACH tempo for instance. You have to feel it. Cheers.
You don't know what you are talking about. You can't teach tempo??? So everyone magically knows tempo from birth? That's the stupidest thing I've heard in quite some time. What happens is someone TEACHES you HOW to feel it. Any decent music teacher can easily explain what tempo is and how to follow it with a simple metronome. Then comes lessons on playing with feeling and emotion. Anyone can learn and I have proven this myself through instruction of others with zero "inclination."
real stupidity is belieiving its possible to be born with skills. u mite believe the greats of our time were "born" with their talents, but if u look at their history, you'll see how in reality they obtained their skills. a good example is charlie parker, who some people believed was gifted. no.. he practiced 10 hours a day, for 4 years straight. a feat in itself.
@Franko94 I certainly didn't mean to come off as saying people are "born with skills". Shame on me, I'm better with words than that. I simply mean what I stated earlier. You must have the knack for obtaining these skills, that, in my opinion, is the definition of talent. The knack for obtaining the skills. Then the skills are worked at. Do you agree?
@danpianoman1 no no, i was saying that to somebody else (i think). I agree with what you are saying lol. Although, when do you feel that knack is acquired?

I think you were playing a little fast but that may be because you were on camera. My first recital I was a nervous reck! Other than the speed you did very well.
i can't say i quite agree with this interpretation, but hey, to each his own, right? seemed a little faster than andantino, and was most definitely not P. hm.. again, to each his own.
very precise; I like it

Maybe a bit more emotion? I didn't hear much dynamics.

No ofense but, as my mentor use to say "You're playing for playing, not for making music"

Very nice. You don't complicate it, which always ruins this piece. Please watch my video of the same piece.

You don't have to go to a f*ckin conservatory to be a good piano player.
f*ck education, real piano skills, is the talent you get born with.

Sorry for my foul language there haha, but I totally respect people, who are educated in piano playing.
But i think the real talent are the skills you develop yourself. NOT only in classical music, but also in popular music.
