if you think about it, the level football is played at now is WAY higher than in the days of maradona and pele, they were generations ahead of there time, they really would be the equivalent of someone like nicolas anelka or a player of that level, the only reason they seem better is because most other players they played weren't the same standard. messi's raw skill is better than anyone in the world just now, and jsut because he hasn't won the world cup doesn't meen he isn't the best...
