Okay, I need serious help! I have this camera now and when i try to import the 1080p files to my omputer i have to use this gay videobrowser...and it won't let me import the files any oher way! Can i change the default file type thjat the camera saves video as? Or do i need a converter? And if you have NO idea sorry for wasting your time :)
why would you ever convert 60i to 60p? 60i is still 30 full fps...the fps you see after 60i stands for fields per second...meaning there is the even pixels then the odd in the length of one frame therefore doubling it to 60 fields per second....there is just no need to bring it to 60p then to 29.97 when you could just get the pulldown from de-interlacing...but that time lapse at the end was pretty dank though
Gracious sakes! I just watched three drops of dew 'pop' out of the beautiful reddish leaf! The danged camera actually recorded them popping into existence... I never knew they did that and of course, couldn't have imagined ever seeing it happen. This is soooo cool. I just bought this camera and am anxiously awaiting it's delivery. Your lovely video made me even more anxious now! TY for posting it.
still shots are great, motion is a little blurry. Did you use the optimal settings for motion in this video? I just ordered this camera and I'd like to film fight scenes that look somewhat decent.
canon hf20 vixia hi there is 5 option to choose programmed AE TV AV CINE MODE PORTRAIT also there is MXP FXP XP+ SP LP what is the best pick for filming short film speed and 60 i and pf30 pf24 which one is the best for you to record a short film in i have amazing stories i want to tell but i want the camera to give me the best picture. when i finish shooting i go on final cut express to edit. but right now i want is the best of the best
And also, what format do you render the video as, for it to be that quality? I have been rendering mine as WMV's and the quality does not look as good as this video. I have the same camera as you I think...It's the Canon Vixia HF20.
@HelloTherePepper I got this camera last black Friday. I can tell you I don't regret buying this camera. I have hade trouble here and there with low light. But other then that it's a well-rounded camera. I can't wait to take it to the beach in August!
Can I ask you how did you get the focus to change at :27 seconds. From like the picture in the water, and then out to the leaves on the ground? I tried manual focus but it either makes it all focused, or all blurry. Any help would be appreciated. I just got this camera.
@typedink : Your going to laugh buddy... I used a polarizer filter on the front lens and rotated until the reflection disappeared... kind of tricky yeah!
if you want to shoot night shots without so much grain you have to put on either 24p or 30p and put it on cinema mode. there might be other ways too but this setting works good for me
Hi I have the same camera as you. I was wandering how you created the time lapse at the end. did you use a particular setting? did you use an intervalometer? please reply as soon as possible
Wonderful fall colors!

I'm not sure if I should get this camera or not. How much do you buy it for and where? I'm trying to figure out where to buy it...

How did you get such a good shot of the night sky? when I try to shoot the stars all I get is Black and grain.
wonderbread1 2 years ago
if you want to shoot night shots without so much grain you have to put on either 24p or 30p and put it on cinema mode. there might be other ways too but this setting works good for me

Doesn't cinema mode make it too dark?
wonderbread1 1 year ago
not when i tried it. but if it does make it too dark when you try to use cinema mode, try fooling around with some other settings

@wonderbread1: Used a Canon 20D DSLR camera and about 600 time lapsed images in which I made into a clip...
More info in my description!
