some of the scenes remind me of HEAVY METAL just because of the artwork and you can definetly which work belongs to Fleischer, aka POPEYE.Thanks for sharing.
Very clever collage. Compelling to see the display of various styles over the years and the various attitudes towards people - Japanese, German, "gay" etc.
The segment starting at 2:12-2:30 is from "The Curious Adventures of Mr. Wonderbird" (aka "Le Roi et L'Oiseau", "The Shepherdess and the Chimneysweep" and "Adventures of Mr. Wonderful). Came out in 1952, but due to creative differences between the principals, it was issued in a different version in 1980. Click on "About this video" to find a link that lists all the cartoons used in this mashup. The brief zeppelin scene is also from Wonderbird, as well as some later shots of the same giant robot.
Hey give'm back! I have the Golden Anniversary Edition, the complete superman collection vol.1&2
The Paramount Cartoon Classics of Max & Dave Fleischer
from Bosko Video. Seems I read that one of the Fleischers was a stickler for quality. I really hate that "faster than a speeding bullet" between every eight minute toon. It'd be nice to edit it out someway. I love my Action #1 reprints, they're just like reading the(newsprint) original but less expensive.
Surreal.

whats up with the nazi submarine? weirdo... its a nazi picture? O-o

But the nazi subs get blown up the end. This one definitely didn't make sense, and I should have made it shorter. 8 minutes is too long.
