  • fast and furious

  • my carbon ti fits horrible and scrapes

  • Where do you get these exhausts? Any websites?

  • @charlie64554 hksusa.com ;)

  • Nasty ! Supras are the shit still its funny how a car from 93-98 is still more of a sports car than some newer models. Too bad they are priced way to high for me I saw one for a 93 turbo with 164k miles for 30 grand. looks like they also hold there value. plus Toyotas best motor all hail the great 2JZ-GTE

  • i agree this is better then a "shitty v8", but a "good v8" sounds better ;) only my opinion

  • Super Supra!!!!

  • super

  • Idk doesnt sound like a supra too me, kindah like a 350z or a infiniti G35 with that distinct sound... just me tho

  • i hear a turbo haha

  • ear jizzed

  • i think toyota should keep making rwd performance cars

  • Nice. Just had a wonderful ear gasm. <3

  • tasty

  • I have the same exhaust, it sounds like sex in person or doing a fly by

  • i think that toyota should scrap all the prius's or whatever they are called and keep making supras like this one

  • Damn, sounds like a super-car. Oh wait.

  • I just picked up a '97 NA and it came with the HKS Carbon I love it, can't wait to add some forced induction to the mix. Sounds great man

  • @shawn27529 expensive job man!

  • The thing just sounds so beast

  • Emissions is easy. Yes, even CA smog...just keep the emissions equipment. With a competent tune, you're burning most of the pollutants to make more power anyways...in most cases, a properly tuned turbo car will actually ring lower on emissions testing than stock.

It's all about thinking it through and making the right modifications. 2jz's should make power and pass in their sleep.

  • The RPS mani from the early 2000s was a long tube 6-into-1 design and made awesome power, although it wasn't situated in the ideal way to control big boost. It has a glorious F1 type sound at high rpm!! Most of the other manis are much shorter 3-into-1 designs that handle huge turbos better, but don't have that sound unfortunately.

  • Sorry dude love the car but it sounds way to ricy for me but you like what you like

  • i love my civic, but i would kill for one of these.

  • HKS 4ewer

  • PRIUS POWER!!

  • it sounds like Fast and Furious 1 Supra wich is cool i want to make my supra with exactly same sound when i hit the throttle i and when i hear that sound my heart if fulling i have fuel in my blood :) i'm borned with it and i'm gona die with it

  • straight through.. open exhaust sound!! CLEAN

  • Comment removed

  • one word that explanes everything : SUPRA

  • sounds like a damn r1 race cars sik

  • It kinda sounds like a V10 now.

  • that sounds nice and sharp!

  • sounds GR8!!!

  • JDM for life

  • nasty sound ;]

  • very retro.

  • souds like my motorcycel pipe

  • japanese cars 4 LIFE

  • beautiful sounding

  • What a nasty sound DAMN

  • @ jeffipoo - the exhaust is actually 95mm piping. There are some earlier versions which had 75mm piping but most of them are the 95mm versions.

I have the RPS header on my car and this same exhaust and my sound is a bit different. Maybe it's just the camera sound pickup or maybe this header is the "big torque" header, and mine is not. I'm not aware of the sound differences of the two.

I can also confirm this is a Supra because the Carbon Ti only has that ridiculously long tip on the Supra.

  • Never ask youtubers your car questions, find a forum at least

  • what kind of turbos can you put on the RPS manifold

  • thats a damn good emissions plan!

  • i like all these different exhausts and such, but to hell with em, if your car is turbo (no back pressure prob), straight pipe is the way to go for the best sound. Yes, emissions is a bitch, so keep the stock exhaust somewhere in a garage for when the time comes to do emission testing, then after passing, slap the straight pipe back on, and to make it easier, have a flange at the turbo elbow for easier putting on / taking off =)

  • @enigmaPL what if you have a 4" down pipe then what do you do

  • @boostnallday get creative =P

  • @enigmaPL if you are into the car game emission isnt a problem! fake emissions take less than a minute if you know ppl!

  • @urumanyadamian Or you can have a Supra that is OBDI and live in a state like NH and not have to plug in for emissions and never have to worry about it ;)

  • @enigmaPL exactly what i was thinking! lol

  • Hey ive got a ae86 hach 4age, the motors obvously gonna sound awsome compared to the stock exust it has now. but since its a smaller car sould i get the 130 or 175mm? Thnx

  • larger exhausts only belong with really powerful cars. A 4AGE would lose power at the lower end by increasing your exhaust by that margin. What you could do is order a 2.5 inch exhaust and find the rear to an exhaust with muffler (one peice) that has an inlet of 2.5" with an outlet of 4.5" or greater. I have a 97 eclipse GS and because it's not turbo, the exhausts they make for it are smaller.

  • does anyone know if the carbon exhaust is actually lighter than a non carbon exhaust

  • no it's actually heavier but maybe by like .1 pounds...i have the carbon ti on my evo and all it is is the standard muffler with a ti tip only the muffler is wrapped in carbon fiber

  • cool man

  • BEEAASSSSTTTT

  • TANK

  • Love it !!!

    Supra POWER !!!

    Supra 4-eva

  • Just bought one for my GSX and it dosent sound like yours :(

  • swap a 2jz then.. lol jk. a 4 cylinder with different displacement will usually sound different

  • lol your gsx doesn't have a inline 6

  • hey (thesuprastar)....firstly WOT A SOUND!!!!!! i was wondering if you can tell me what exhaust sytem that is in full. (from front to end)....... either if its from the turbo to the back or cat-back.. i have a 97 supra (non turbo) i was wondering cause i want mine to sound exactly like that(minus the spool) lol and also how big are the exhaust piping(eg: 3inch 2.5inch) it would be great if you could provide me with that usefull information thanks mate -gianni-

  • That high pitched, almost Ferrari-like snarl is a trademark of the RPS T4 manifold for the 2JZ-GTE, which obviously can't be used on your non-turbo. The exhaust is the HKS Carbon-Ti, which has 80mm piping, so I would expect the downpipe from the turbo to be 80mm as well.

For the best NA Supra sound, I like the Tanabe Touring Medallion catback with the MVP motorsports header. With an SAFC and dyno tuning as well you can pick up about +20hp at the wheels. Cheers!

  • sweet! what mods to the engine?

  • i jus love these fukkin cars i jus love the fact tht u can make like 700hp with stock internals that freakin awesome man lolzzz stock internals not that many car can do that lol

  • Beatiful sound.. i love supra...

  • RPS manifolds are the best sounding ever on Supras...

  • how does that rps manifold compare to others in horsepower gains cause that sounds tight man

  • that sounds total diff to supra i had man, sounds nice tho

  • Thanks! Yes, I'm sure it's from the RPS Big Torque header/manifold. It's a heavy steel welded manifold (old school). A bit different than the thing walled mandrel bent units you see today.

  • stock cams or no?

  • Stock cams

  • @TheSupraStar

    you should change the cam

get that rough idle and better performance

  • @heinamen

    a) Rough idle isn't actually rough. Car was essentially cold. b) And no point in changing the cams since the SP63GT turbo starts to fall off just before redline. So depending on cams, I really have nothing to gain up top (assuming you mean the 264 cams)

  • @TheSupraStar

    ya i meant the 264

and you have the stock cam on it

  • @heinamen

264s do little to nothing on a small turbo like this. I have seen the dyno plots. Not worth the expense. On the other hand, GSC S1 cams will benefit a smaller turbo like this one. However, I have no need for it. The car runs 10s as it sits.

  • @TheSupraStar

    True

keep your car the way it is

Unless you have to much money all the sudden for some reason

I was wondering how much did you pay for you supra cause I know they are usually to expensive, at least for me and is it a left or right hand drive

  • @heinamen

You can get cars like mine for high 20's I'd say. Mine is domestic, not RHD.

  • @TheSupraStar

there over priced like no fucking tomorrow

    hmmm

  • I love this sound!!

  • Yep..it's a Supra. Same car as in my other vids. The RPS manifold does make it sound different than other Supras however.

  • More vids of this car or bannn!! haha Love to hear/see some pull away vids!

I have the same header going on my car. I hate the sound of the twins.

Im curious to know; everyone loves the sound of the HKS Ti, I wonder if this sounds better with the RPS mani???

  • That's nice exhaust note... sounds mean!

  • nice star!!! i just bought this exhaust for my mkiv thx 4 shareing..

  • Oh..you'll love it. It is a bit loud though, especially with the RPS manifold. It is an "angry" race car type sound. Very addicting to those who love motorsport, very annoying for those who don't. Even with my Random Tech. cat on there, it's STILL loud. I ultimately had to put the HKS Silencer in there when I go downtown in a busy city. For that, I lost 500RPMS of spool, and nearly 40 RWHP!! But congrats..and enjoy your new exhaust...

  • THey installed your canister muffler wrong. Those little drilled holes are to let moisture drip out. Not that it can sticking up in the air, but it certainly cannot with them on the SIDE. Sounds good though.

  • Wrong. The muffler is installed correctly. It's actually impossible to put this muffler on wrong, since the cannister and piping is all one piece..it doesn't separate. If you had it on wrong, the bend in piping would cause the muffler to exit in the middle of the bumper. Further, you just can't see the drain hole from the angle. Those 2 little holes are for the silencer insert screws. Wouldn't really make sense to have a drain hole on the top AND bottom now would it?

  • You're right, its just that I didn't see the drain hole on the bottom either.

  • Moisture finds its way out the exhaust exit last time I checked.

  • Check again.

  • LOL, what a noob ^^

have had the same exhaust, but stock twins

  • not a supra lol i can tell already

  • Sorry to disappoint..but it IS indeed a Supra. Look at my other vids. All the same car.

  • Your ignorance serves you well. What a douchebag.

  • nice sound. sound unique
