  • Fender Twin Reverb + Stratocaster = HEAVEN!!!

  • Is it too loud for room playing ?

I don't know if buy one of these.

  • Check this reverb out!!! TEN!!!

  • WHY WOULD YOU SELL THIS? was you high or something when you sold it?

  • @IdRatherbeDeaddd right... and even if you want a new amp and need some bucks -> the last thing to sell is a fender twin ^^

  • Very Good !!!

Wich kind of pickups do you have, on your strat ??

    Thank's

  • Pity U sold the Strat. For the kind of playing U do, the Strat sounded way better! :) But I'm biased....lol !! Still I was giving my most impartial listening...that Strat had the sound, just like mine! :)

  • i think if i heard that amp breaking up i wud jizz my pants

  • This is getting a cliché around here, but I'm fucking jealous.

  • honestly, there is no replacement for fender reverb. take all the distortion in this world... take all the digital stuff.. no replacement for fender reverb..... i don't know why.

  • Wow, it sounds extremely tight, no break up what so ever. Low volume? If I just heard it I'd guess Silver Face. Nice fenderish tone!

  • Watched your LP + twin reverb video. I think this combo is much better. Humbuckers don't sound very good through fender amps.

  • @bilbomarks When you suck dick as much as your self of coarse it wont sound good though buckers.

  • @jsrnash12 You're very clever :D

  • whack

  • how much watts does this amp has?

  • @BiaginiAlessandro 85 and some 100

  • Just love those twins reverb mate, they're good.

  • awesome, say im having an eye on the twin too but.. can it pull off styles like rock/metal? (ex. Dream Theater) just asking im gonna buy it anyway for the cleans but id like to know it lol

  • @RevellAndRepend I suppose it could with the right pedals for the distortion and probably different speakers than Jensen-ish ones (too much highend). Celestions or Fanes would be a better choice there. But then that's probably a bit like driving past one's house on the way home as other amps take to rock more naturally + has a good clean tone on top of that.

  • Why would you sell it, if it sounds so good!!!!!!???

  • You bluesy motherfucker.

  • since you live in UK these older fender amps must really be expensive compared to the USA.

  • How much did you sell that amp for?

  • im guessing somewhere from $1500-$2300

  • Got an original mid-'60s Blackface Twin I've had since the early '80s and I'll NEVER part with her. I play either my 1968 Strat or my Guild archtop through it - just an incredible classic clean sound. And although my BF is great for rhythm playing and sweet riffs, she will hardly distort or fuzz up, and almost can't be played softly - too much horsepower. Around the house and at lower volumes, I run through my Peavey Classic 50 - great distorted or clean, and great warm tone at lower volumes.

  • ass hole

  • relax, it's a sound demo not a guitar lesson, and you say "b4 to make videos on Youtube..." Yes, Youtube is professional grade. *goes to numa numa

  • I find it incredibly amusing that not only do you not have any videos of your own posted, with which to demonstrate what you call "good bends", but all of your favourite videos are of really bad guitar lesson videos. Whats more, this is a gear demonstration, and a very good one at that, he is not playing songs, and is not playing poorly either, so if you cant tell the difference between a quick gear demo from a good player and a crappy online lesson video, then KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF.

  • California Series Strat? 1997ish.?.

If so, then BOTH pieces of gear are reasons I hate you and want to steal your stuff:P:D

(I do like your playing, tho;))

  • Sorry for late reply! Yeah your right.. the Strat was a 97, Both that and Amp are long gone now..

  • VOX AC-30 ! ! !

  • nice les paul

  • Comment removed

  • I really, really, really wish I could afford this amp, I've never heard a better guitar tone before.

  • I love that tone ..... nice playing !!!!

  • Bright switch on! LOL

  • tube

  • So sweet tone nice bluesy

  • best clean tone amp

  • I bought one of these the other day for 450! Its a nice sounding amp, especially with pedals in front of it. My only small critisizm it the loudness because I'm not doing that many gigs lately.

  • I dont know...Im between this and a Vox Ac30......uhmmmm???

  • Vox AC-30

  • Wonderful amp for any type of music! Probably around $1000-$1500 new?

  • Best combination:P twin reverb with strat!

    Hail Fender!!!

  • beautiful tone, wish i could just plug my strat in now and start to get high

(playin the guitar with the twin that is for all the retards out there) Peace.

  • im jealous too!!... i wish i could get my tee-shirts that white

  • LOL!! That t shirt was new that day, after 1 wash it was black..it cost about the same as a plectrum

  • I'm jealous!!!

  • The fender Twin is one of the best amps ever made!! Play it with a REAL Strat and you won't believe the tone you get out of it! There is a reason these amps are so expensive!! Nothing sounds like a Fender, played through a vintage Fender amp! SRV!!! The best sounding clean tone I have ever heard!

  • shit, i played a mexican made strat through one today and it was amazing.

  • What a beautiful amp. Damn it. It's decided. I'm going to cough up some money and buy one.

  • It's so worth it!!

  • You and me both mate :-D

I was considering a Line 6 Spider Valve instead of this, but damn would that have been a mistake.

  • Ahh..that would have been an awful mistake! Line 6 is just trash all around, in fact, even the new Twin Reverbs aren't that great. Vintage is just totally the way to go.

  • go for a vintage Fender Bassman they are much cheaper and almost as nice sounding. check out my videos.

  • i actually spent 3 months trying to get this sound out of my spider III with a little overdrive, after that i just said fuck it, sold the spider, and got myself one of these beauties, couldnt be happier

  • I managed to find it in like 6.

  • i have a line 6 spider III....and you cant get the reverb that he has, but if you just get a reverb pedal it sounds great. it is possible to get a good bluesy tone out of a line 6...that is, if you know how to use it

  • It is not possible to get any good tone out of a spider, let alone a good raw blues tone.

    Get some new ears.

  • i own the spider III 75 watt and im fuckin kickin myself in the head for not waiting and buying a decent tube amp. worst decision i could have made.

  • Save your money, then sell the Spider. You can get a decent used tube amp for $500-$600. A small tube amp will go a long way! A 30 watt tube amp will be much louder than a 75 watt solid state.

  • i hate my spider

i found a cheap late 70s twin around where i live, so i might check that out after it sells

  • spiders suck dick

im selling mine and getting a c30

  • max do bbb toca guitarra...hsuahsuahaushsua

  • is this a tube amp ?

  • The very definition. You can't get that kind of tone with a solid state, my friend.

  • Is that the legendary amp of surfers?

  • its the legendary amp of all amps

  • local pawnshop here had a twin reverb non-tube amp :)

  • that was not a twin reverb. that was probably "The Twin" or something of that nature.

  • no they didnt. sorry. no such thing.

  • Seems the world of guitars players is divided between those who play Fenders into Fenders and Gibsons into Marshalls. Or those who would if they could.

Why Fender amps clean and Marshalls cranked? I love cranking Fenders and playing Marshalls Clean. Both sound amazing. Saddens me that people can look at equipement and only see it played a certain way.

On a specific note these Pre CBS Fenders may have been designed by Leo to get clean headroom, but they sing when dimed and its not done enough.

  • i agree, but get something like a jtm45 or bassman and you got the best of both worlds - clean and dirty!

  • twin reverb es genial, algu dia tendre uno...

  • If Eric Foreman and Nigel Tufnel made love...

    Strange bedfellows indeed!

  • OMG its paul mccartney :O

  • Comment removed

  • not all of us are named nigel tufnel.

  • Maybe thats why they are regarded as the best guitars ever made and are the most popular guitar ever made and are used in every type of music!! His setup is a bit thin but dont blame the most awsome guitar in the world. I have 3 strats, a Les Paul ,Epiphone Casino, Fender Showmaster, Gibson SG plus a few more so Im not bias, just stating FACTS.

  • such a fat sound. I would give my left testy for one of these.

  • Sounds awesome buddy, very nicely done man. That amp would make my Tele sound like god.

  • George Harrison played a rosewood tele through a Twin Reverb =)

  • I played a gig with the blues band recently, festival with backline. I look on the stage and there was a 4X10 Deluxe Reverb. Man, that thing made the Tele sound awesome! Check out my video called "Erin McCallum"

The video, surprisingly does a good job of showing the amp's amazing sound off...

  • Nice vid man.

  • how does it sound with distortion? good?

  • sounds distorted

  • perfectttttttttttttttttttt sound reverb sound ı very loveeeeeeeee everb sound and fender strat...

you are perfect my brother...ı want more videos :D

  • Fender Twin. The best clean sound, period.

  • I love listening to other people play on fender amps, but find the really thin sound too harsh and difficult to control when playing the usual pop/rock songs. Probably great for blues though.

  • Great tone, I played a twin for 25 years, best amps ever--with a tone like that why need distortion

  • I have never heard such nice sound !!! Great!!! *****

  • hey man,

    nice vid;)

i have the same amp.. but when i put my reverb up to 10.. i hear this tone which gets louder and louder.. like a microphone too close to the speaker;)

when i move away from the amp so that the guitar can't hear itself in the amp.. it still happens.. but reverb below 5 is just fine..

am i doing somethin wrong? can you maybe help me with some advice or something?

    thanks anyway

    bye

  • What's the biggest difference between a black and a silverface?

  • lol you couldnt just resist picking up that burst eh?

  • Well you need a Strat and a LP..I just have a LP at the mo.. there is a KILLER Jap Squire in pawn shop nr me..its cheep but the tone is amazing, just can't afford it!

  • alright ill lend you the money but you have to let me fuck yer sister

  • @StowBurst, Jap squires from the late 80's early 90's are the dogs. Did you buy it?

  • is it too loud to practice with in your house? cuz people have been saying its hella loud.

  • Well, if you get a nice pair of earplugs and i guess its a good thing you're home alone.

Seriously this one is loud as hell. My guess you're ears will be damaged at about 2 out of 10 without earplugs.

  • arg....thats not good...

  • Yes it is man!

  • if you have a favoret out of your amps witch one is it

  • I only have one amp now amd that is the Marshall Lead and Bass but if I had a fav it would be a Twin Reverb.

  • yeah, I miss my twin reverb. Be looking for another when I got some cash, just found you randomly here. Nice blues. I do more heavy stuff, than my onetake youtube posted awhile back.

  • i didnt know eric foreman played guitar!

  • I have played on a fender acoustic for 8 month, by this time I decided to by an electric one. What do you suggest, strat or a tele? which is the better, or worthwile to buy? very hard decision, it depends on a lot of thing, I know, but I wonder what's your opinion abaut the big question. Thanks.

  • It depends on taste as there are hardware and varietal differences which make up most of the difference other than sound and because of this you should try both of them, but from a hardware standpoint it really comes down to whether or not you want a tremolo and how many pickups you feel are necessary.

    -Seanzee

  • ur fender sounds better!

  • I'm getting a Twin again when I have some cash.. I was in the shit thats why I HAD to the sell that Twin

  • Muito bom!!!

  • Very sweet sound ! Awesome !

  • nice man... ever think of a custom shop 60s strat?

  • nice u sond like hendrex

  • what kind of strat is it, have fell in love with mayer's black strat but because none are relic'd like his is and all other black rosewood strats seem too dull your has something nice to it please don't say its a vintage one i am fairly poor lol

  • The Strat was a 1988 usa model, It cost me £200 for a music shop 2nd hand.

  • whoa, thats an amazing deal!

  • it really is 200 pounds that like nothing for an american strat, was it damaged or something?

  • sweet Twin Reverb!!! cool playing!

  • I must have that amp.

  • I have one, It rapes

  • A clean dream...

as opposed to a wet one...

    *cough*

  • LOLWUT?

  • Fender amps are amazing. The guitars are, too, but their tone with a normal distortion pedal never works for me. Like, it should have more drive to it.

  • look into a bluebeard fuzz,

it makes a strat sound amazing

  • 1:11 from what was that? Deep Purple? ELP? which song?

  • he said he was making up licksss while playingg

  • Is it possible to use some different tubes with twin reverb, so it gives you less power and it overdrives faster? Because my bro cranks it up to 5 max on gigs, and hed like to get the kind of tube overdrive. If its not possible, were gonna buy VOX tuber overdrive pedal - big ben.

  • Supposedly you can pull one of the power tubes and run on half power. Consult before doing this

  • how is the overdrive on this amp?

i love the clean tone im pretty much sold im just curious cuz i dont just play blues

  • This amp is so clean you'd definitely need to go out and get yourself a nice pedal.

  • Great amp, but did you get a flightcase with it?

I can't think about taking such a heavy amp to gigs without a decent flightcase...

  • I bet the twin reverb is loud as hell.

  • How high would you have to turn it up before the tubes start overdriving?

  • with a Strat I would say 8 ot 9.. very LOUD!

  • el reberb suena brutalll

  • Outatanding my friend. What setting were you on? The tone quality was very nice. R U running straight from guitar to amp, no pedals? Gibson or Epi on the LP? Thanks.

  • I was just going straight in, I usually has the settings on on 5 in the high sensitivity channel with reverb on 4ish?

  • you must practice a lot to get that good at improv. do you study alot of scales or what?

  • PS What is the diference btween the normal and vibrato chanels on the amp and why are there 2 inputs under vibrato

  • The normal channel don't have reverb on vibrato and its voiced a bit differently too. Both channels have a hi and a low sensitivity..

  • Twin Reverbs kick asssssssssss nice playing man

  • Aren't your ears blown of you head?

  • Well - it must have been as toppy.

  • that was some very nice playing

  • i just would not recommend unplugged your cable while your amps still on, its really bad for it, especially plugging it in

  • I did not know that.

  • Yeah if you step on it, it can blow the speaker, and maybe the tube, I'm not sure about the tube though.

  • I bought an Anniversary Strat in 79 & had a choice of a Fender Twin Reverb or a Carlsbro Stingray Pro to go with it - they were both about the same price. Back in those days valve amps were considered a bit dated & it was about effects, & the Carlsbro had a few built in & so I chose that. I regret the decision to this day!

  • my fav of yours.... but I'm a sucker for the glassy tone only a strat can deliver

  • That amp is the shiz man...

  • this is tourture all i can do is watch people play on youtube untill the tube i ordered comes in for my fender twin (evil twin)

nice playing and nice amp good on ya. what model strat is that?

  • Dude, you got soul man! and so does that amp!

  • i hav wat they call a tex mex iz tht good

  • the strat sounds a lot better

well any fender instrument sounds good through a fender amp

  • Ya, I like to put a tube screamer in front and get a nice smooth jazz tone.

  • yeah i have a vintage fender twin like yours also

    its nice

  • Well, I'm not fortunate enough to own one, but I have played through them in bands before, I love the blackface Fenders, the only tweed era Fender amp that I like are those Bassman's, those things break up so nicely.

  • ahh i have never played with a bassman

  • the first marshall's were based off of the break-up sound of the bassman

  • ohh!

i havent had a chance to turn my amp up high enough to overdrive it

i've only played once at a small venue only up to 5

  • O, I play a couple of gigs a month, just club/bar sized, but I can get some nice break up tones. My Hot Rod Deluxe which is my main amp, has tons of clean head room, it's great for jazz.

  • Oh i heard those are nice

i have justed started a real band

the fender twin is great for all types of music

    most fender amps are

i have the twin and a vintage silvertone amp that gives great crunch and breaks up great

  • Ya be carefull some fenders can be to high end-heavy. If you play rock, get a distortion pedal.

  • i have a big muff

    its great

  • big muff = fuzz

  • Very best cristal sound ever! This is candy for the ears

  • thax bassboy

  • i have a ?. i just started playin wit my dads guitar its a start made in mexico iz it good?

  • mex made guitars are generally just okay.
