Excuses, Excuses...get over it dude, Oakton lost to a better team that day. That's what happen in football, players get injured. That running the ball all over northern region teams was not going to work against a great run defense like Smith. He ran the rock and got his bell rung, that is what you do in football, you take out the General. It don't matter how many college calliber type players you have on your roster. at the end of the day it's about who comes out on top. W is a W.

It looked like smith was slacking, but picked it up in the long run. Maybe because oakton lost their QB, maybe not. Could of been a ton of different reasons, but smith won. No use arguing about or saying which team is better. They are both really good and that is that.

Amazing football game. Oakton showed great courage and composure but ultimately it was OS's day with the late fumble by Oakton deep in OS territory.  Some great blocking by the Oakton line and some amazing defense played by Oakton in holding OS to 10 points. Sims and Smith are real players!

If we had Coyer that whole game Oakton would have won easily and taken states. Oakton was gaining momentum on that drive and when he got hit, all the players were shook and didn't play the way they normaly would have. And Oscar Smith cheering at his injury was one of the most classless things i've ever seen. Great season for both teams though.

To be fair, Smith's star running back was playing hurt and also sat out a good part of the game. The cheering you initially heard was for the play. Most of the fans stopped once they realized there was an injury. A few fans still cheered, but most of the Smith fans were embarrassed by those that continued to cheer. I hope you witnessed the class exhibited by the Smith players when they realized there was an injury. The coach requires sportsmanship from his players.

No euphanism. I'm aware Chris has a c7 break. But this video is about that game on that day---and after he had been taken away in the ambulance--they announced that he had a stinger. Unfortunately, on YouTube you cannot overwrite videos with updated info. You have to pull them down and wipe out all the metrics and comments.

The part about Oscar Smith going from celebrating to praying is crap. It was all for show!  Seconds before that the players and fans were cheering when Chris was on the ground obviously injured badly.

Sorry for the cheering, I'm guessing we thought he got the wind knocked out of him or something, but thats not how Smith normally plays football. Our team shows much sportsmanship and that's why we came out to pray in the middle of the field.

I just want to say that was a great football game and Oakton put up a very tough match.
