Funerals, crying, sadness and broken heartedness... all these things are burdens of the flesh, where our Ma's are right now, it doesn't matter. Would you ask her to come back to this world of pain and suffering just because you want her to? That would be rather selfish wouldn't it? May you be uplifted and comforted friend.
My Ma wanted this song to be sung at her funeral. But my step-Dad wouldn't allow it. I will perhaps some day forgive him for robbing me of that, maybe. So I waited until everyone had left at grave side and sang it myself, my aunt and I. They say that a tradition exists that says the family should sit by and do nothing at a funeral... that's bull! They wouldn't even let me be a pall bearer. But I kept hearing her voice telling me that it didn't matter. I know it didn't, it was just for me.
I love this song i grew up listening to this type of songs i wrote over 150 songs well done loretta i love you very much this touched my heart your great love tina lewis.
