I remember the one and only time I went to a circus, when I was a little kid. After the "show", we left by the back parking lot (as I remember), and the trainer was TOTALLY beating the shit out of an elephant with a big metal pole, yelling "NO DIRT!!" (The elephant had crapped during the show.) It was disgusting to watch.

Only males go thru musth.  Not too many circuses use males simply because of that. They may use the males at a young age but as they get older, they are not used. Simply this: Elephants are beaten and abused horribly to perform.

Yeah, thats sort of why I said that theres probably more to it. I'm not sure in the vid if it mentioned if it was female or male...o.o, but if it was male thats..something I would assume.

But I don't think it would be, because since these are professionals and could most likely tell if their elephants are going through must or not by looking for the fluid

I have saw some news about that sanctuary last year o n60 minutes I think, and it is such a sad thing. Elephants are so much more than we give them credit it seems
