  • youve got a killer setup

  • I want it really... I will buy one in this summer :0

  • I just got my 27" inch iMac check out my channel!

  • Is the 21.5 Inch Intel® Core™ i5 processor (2.5GHz) good for editing in After Effect, Photoshop ect. ?

  • 16gb of ram is not ridiculous - if you are using more than three adobe apps at once - you will know what i mean!

  • Is gaming good with the tiny arrow directional keys?

  • u think left 4 dead has nice graphics ?

  • Could you please review a whale's vagina?

  • hey I love the desk. Could you plz tell me what kind of desk it is?

  • I do not imagine the price for this slow mac -.-

  • my windows machine crashed while I was watching this, i'm so moving to a MAC!!!

  • can we play morderen warfare 3

    or

    battel field 3

    or

    cod black ops

  • @abdullahclever26

a mac isnt a computer for gaming! its more like to edit music or videos! use windows if u wanna play. and now u cant play these games.

  • @Marcel3540 I can boot Windows 7 just fine. I play Crysis and other games all the time.

  • @postbreak

of course you can do that. but do you think its "good" for a typ of system like mac os x?

i just prefer to use mac to edit the video, photo and music stuff.. but do what u want ;)

  • @Marcel3540 I think it's great for this type of system. I can run OSX for video editing, music, photos, ect. And then boot Windows 7 for gaming. You get almost the best of both worlds. People like yourself always think of the cost of a Mac vs a PC, and forget about the experience. If I wanted ultra high gaming graphics PC FTW, but it comes at a cost other than the price tag.

  • so your mac has 4gb of ram??

  • You forgot about the video editing part.

  • How well will this play games such as skyrim?

  • @ChaplinChats LOL

  • whens the new one come out? anyone know?

  • I don't game natively on PCs or Macs but I do wish it had HDMI inputs so that I can use it with a PS3 or 360 when not near my TV…but ah well. An extra Firewire 800 wouldn't hurt either, though hopefully if Thunderbolt takes off I can replace my external drive chassis to work with that. Looks like exactly what I need for an extra in-between computer. Thanks for the review.

  • @AnEffinWookie if you want power, get the iMac, if you want portability, get the MacBook pro

  • @Digloo98 If u want to game buy a PC

  • Mirrors edge wallpaper <3

  • this or 13" macbook pro i5? please help!

  • Will this work for mw3 and bf3?

  • hey man whats your steam?

  • Where did you get that saucy iPad stand? ;D

  • Magic mouse is shit for gaming!

  • im getting this and i will use it for manly editing and things

  • when i herd of a 17inch i was like cool, *walks into apple store* holy shit thats big

  • WHat graphics card was in that? the 1gb or 2gb?

  • how is gaming with the magic mouse?

  • @markleycrew2009 Terrible. I ditched it for the Razer Orochi.

  • What's the price on that computer.

  • @tski007 he said 1600 dollars

  • Awsome!!!! Computer.

  • I am 15 and I am thinking of getting a 27 inch iMac, is it worth it??

  • @honeybear002 Depends, for hardcore gaming on Battlefield 3, no. For filmmaking, editing and other media-related activities, It's gonna be great but that's just me looking at the specifications.

  • great vid bro

  • how about iMac 21.5 with i5? is that a good choice for HD video editing and photo retouching?

  • Thanks for making this, really helpful.

Do you think it would be stupid to buy an iMac i5 with 8gb ram and the rest standard, to do some audio production and for gaming games such as BF3? (I know, not at highest settings)

  • btw, those were all without bootcamp?

  • @stayfreshvandalz Yep, all on Snow Leopard.

  • is the magic mouse good for gaming?

  • Imac looks awesome on your table!!

  • when will you upload gaming vids on the iMac?

    and do you use bootcamp?

    thx

  • Most people buying this are doing so for HD video editing purposes - yet there isn't one decent YouTube video out there showcasing FCP, Premier etc. Perhaps you could do one? Until I see it rendering vast HD video files, I'll hold back and save for the Mac Pro.

  • @godsstruggler I'll work on that.

  • @godsstruggler Thats EXACTLY what I'm thinking of doing on this same exact system spec, but worried it will be dog slow compared to my PC monster rig. Would love to know this too, want to buy one.

  • @godsstruggler Dude, just upgrade your PC.

  • its funny because ur running at like 3.3 ghz im guessing with an i5 and im running at 5.2 GHZ on my new pc (i7-2600k), with 16gb ram 500gb ssd and two nvadia 580s. and i got mine for £989 cheaper and better i really dont understand why u would change

  • @Tavor21Actual what computer you got. i am geting my xmas pressents when i move house i might think about what pc you got

  • PM please with desktop image :P send me the link

  • i love the wallpaper of your imac

    where can i find it?

  • what is the difference between the old mac and the new 2011 ones

  • @xboxboff the quad core proc with turbo bost, the new ati video cards 2x faster the the previous ones. and much more

  • i bought this from apple yesterday its coming next month it cost me nearly £2,000

  • Getting mine hopefully earlier or later next week and If I'm lucky later this week or over the weekend:)

  • dude, nice wallpaper

  • would you say that the i5 for both 21.5 and 27 be enough to do a fair amount of video editing?

  • Comment removed

  • So this computer will be able to handle games like Sims 3, zoo tycoon 2, Sims midevil, and simcity socities

  • well i hear this is the best for the job, im interested in gaming, not to the same degree as you msot likely, i dont need full graphic settings maxed out etc, jsut for some games, casual gamer maybe, would be a bonus if it is powerful as hell, but MOSTLY looking for a mac that can run multimedia stuff, i hear final cut pro is the best tool for the job? also for recording, i hear a program on windows called reaper software is a good program, will the mac have issues running? very confusing :<

  • Nice vid but just go pick u up a iMac u know lol 1500$

  • would the baseline 21.5 inch run games well, i will upgrade the ram to 8gb on store, would it run things on boot camp like bf3/bfbc2 on highest without lag and like call of duty games?

  • @TFC118 on very low settings maybe

  • @JimBaww Definitely the iMac....

  • I'm pissed with my windows based machines and I'm ready to get an iMac. Thanks for the review.

What about video editing? I really don't care about games anymore, so I'm looking for something to do video editing and music recording. Would you say the upgrade to 8GB RAM is worth it, and what about the i7? I think it's a $200 upgrade on the Apple site. Have you tried an i7 vs an i5, and if you have would you say it's worth it, or not?

  • @WestBuiltAMountain The highest end iMac with the i7 supports hiper threading the others don't. The Base model 21.5 iMac is still very great especially is you add the SSD. I own a PC but I know some stuff a bout Macs lol

  • @WestBuiltAMountain hey im wondering the very same thing as you, did you get any joy? can yo mesage me back please , thanks

  • Im in the market for a compute for Audio editing rather than video editing, but spec wise, I'll need the same. Do you recommend a mac for this type of situation vs a pc? I'm a pc user currently and I want a mac's opinion :)

  • @DanielCoryMusic It depends on what software you want to use. If you must have Mac software to edit audio then go for it. If you like editing on a PC better then go PC. It's all about how you use your computer. I edit on a Mac because it's the best tool for the job for me. It never boils down to Mac vs PC, it comes down to how much time I'll be messing with the computer vs getting work done.

  • @DanielCoryMusic With a Mac you have (legal) access to more software due to the fact you can install Windows on it aswell as OSX. If you need something like Logic, you can run it just fine (and legally without hacking). If you need to run a Windows version of Pro Tools or something, you can do it from the same machine, so best of both worlds. You can even run a virtual machine of Windows and use Windows software in OSX at the same time.

  • great review, im ordering this model next week..

  • what's that thing with the blue light next to the iPad?

  • Is the Imac touchscreen?

  • @The123456dudu

    no:)

  • Hi, i was just wondering should i get this computer or a MBP? I am going to be using it for highschool

  • @MrDarthReaper for school i would go with the mbp

  • @jotiw1 alright thankyou

  • the imac is wondwrful

  • is this the 6770m or 6970m?

  • it sounds like steve jobs is pointing a gun to him and making him say this crap.

you can see this guy looking at the gun...

  • @daviddsiuser lol. that was a good one :D

  • @xananadu say good things

when he said that bad thing about the imac you can kinda hear the click

  • Do you know if they've updated the computers to have the Lion osx built in yet? Also, where did you get your desk? Its nice :)

  • @hellomiranda They haven't started shipping new iMacs with Lion but I believe you can get a coupon for a free license if you were to buy one at this point. I got my desk at IKEA but unfortunately I don't think they make it anymore.

  • I don't know if you knew this, but the new ati graphics cards help with video rendering. You'll notice a significance difference in how quickly your system can render videos with a 6770 vs 6970.

  • Where did u get that ipad stand?

  • @Fatalistification I got it at ikea. I honestly don't think they make it any more but you can search online for it.

  • TRY EDITING VIDEO ON A SINGLE CORE 2.8 GHZ PROCESSOR IT SUCK. I'M GETTING A MAC SOON THOUGH.

  • @Poachy20 upgrade your pc... it's cheaper

  • Hi nice video, i'm going to be buying the 21.5" baseline model this week. I was wondering if you had any idea how well that model would run Starcraft 2 or Black ops...

if they can run on high very well, then i will definitely be purchasing it.

  • comes with os x lion as a default feature?

  • @Tetasha Nope, I missed the free coupon by a week or so.

  • @postbreak how can u play mirrors edge ?? i thought it was only on windows

  • @brucetrunks There is a mac port. Go to portingteam com to check out some of the windows ports.

  • Is that a LaCie thunderbolt hard drive?

  • @pizzafootbal No, those aren't out yet. When they do drop I'm sure they will be over $1k.

  • @postbreak Ahh Didn't think so... $1k! Woah! I was hoping to see a thunderbolt sync cable but with iOS 5 wires are being cut

  • What about Crysis 2 ? Can you run that at max settings

  • I'm thinking about buying one to go along side my 27-inch LED Cinema Display, You can also use the 27-inch iMac as a monitor which is awesome

  • Nice. what are the antenni behind it?

  • @spacemole It is a TV Antenna. Allows me to watch TV on my iMac.

  • Nice review dude!!

  • what du u use? final cut or imovie?

  • @GamingOfSolace Final Cut

  • seems like you got money rolling in now!
