America is a free nation, not a communist one, we spend money on what the people see fit within the bounds of the law and constitution. I want my tax money to go towards stuff I WANT, I don't want my money going to something I don't support.

@14omega28ok I agree that science is art, but it seems to me like you discredit art a little too much. There is great value in art. In fact, many scientists and engineers are artists themselves outside of their profession. Art helps strengthen peoples creativity and out of the box thinking skills. These are essential for good science and engineering.

The robot uses an isotope energy source, about 100 watts of power. Scarab uses laser scanners to gain visibility in the dark. The robot will drill one meter into rock and debrie on the moon. Did Scarab get approval to go to the moon?
