  • omg patrick bateman!

  • What a brain workout I've had to find this. Thought it was a BASF ad, then TDK, then remembered the guy was from Bauhaus, then remembered his name was Pete something...

Phew. Anyway well worth the search. Great to see it again.

    Thx

  • Glad to find there's a person as sad as me around. Just spent the entire evening trying to find it to show my daughter who'se about to buy a black and white print called 'Blown Away' which was taken from the ad. We've been through B&O, Sony and allsorts before we established via the net that it was a Maxell tapes ad. I always loved the advert and fancied the bloke big-time - he even gets the thumbs-up from my daughter!

  • This takes me back, thanks for posting. Peter looks hot as always...

  • iconic they did not show it on tv as often as it should have been

  • sorry...don't know why that comment came up twice...Twice as good maybe! : D

  • It's Musorgskys' A Night On The Bare Mountain, if it's not been put up before...which incidentally is being performed at The Proms tonight 26-07-08 and aired on Radio 3 @ 1900hrs tonight. Enjoy!!!

  • In case it's not been put on before...It's Musorgsky...A Night On The Bare Mountain...

Which is also being performed at The Proms tonight 26-07-08 and aired on Radio 3 @ 1900hrs in case anyone gets to read this in time and is interested in hearing it! Enjoy!!!

  • back in the olden days.

  • What is the music used?

  • took a bit of digging but it's Modest Mussorgsky's "A night on the Bald mountain"

  • in fact, more digging reveals that Rimsky-Korsakov "corrected" Mussorgsky's original and it's actually his version, entitled Night on Bare Mountain

  • Attention casting director of 'Interview with the Vampire': Peter Murphy should have played Lestat. This is so cool.
