  • Man I wish I had stuck with it thru the grunge era! You've obviously stuck with it! Great Playing! I useually just make the solo my own or try to come close? lol

  • @bartramtab Thx!!! And I know what you mean... when I've played it live I always try to get it close, and it's pretty much anywhere from victory to hilarious fail.

  • your playing and effect are probably the best ive seen on youtube so far.

  • wow that was amazing bro' thats not an easy song to do... u did so good.. i like your playing style. r u in any band? what's your band's name? keep rocking !!!

  • @rattlewrist Coming from a player like you, that means a lot!! Thanks! And no, nothing serious band-wise right now. I play mostly @ church, and w/a funk/dance band for special occasions. I miss writing in a band, tho... that's truly the best

  • way too kind? not only does it sound great, but you have video that can keep up with the movement, i just have picture stills with crappy recording...i think you're doin fine

  • sounds good man, eric johnson would be jealous!

  • @whitehaven17 - THANKS, man! You are wayyy too kind! :-) Made my day hearing that, though...

  • nicely done, eric johnson would be jealous

  • Hey there, Carson clan! It's Shera from NJ, hope all's well. Paul, you had gotten back to me at some point about the Manfred Mann "Blinded By the Light" guitar solo/album version...thank you, and sorry it's taken me a while; this Money Pit has swallowed me, glubglub...I would LOVE to learn the solo if you feel like noodling around with it; dog food for YOUR Money Pit is fine by me! Hey, speaking of the Pit, I've started posting videos of my half-@rsed DIY projects if you'd like to get a laugh!

  • on 0:25 i cant strum it that well so i hybrid pick =/

  • To me, hybrid is harder, so rock on brotha!

  • Nice job!

    Keep rockin'

  • Really?... you should totally post a vid playing it. School me, Tyler!!! :D

  • I no longer have a face! U jus freakin melted it lol. I learned this one a while ago. Fun tune!

    5 stars!!!

    Keep on rockin!

  • Great playing man! this is much better than all the note-for-note versions out there. Wich are your settings on the jekyll & hyde?

  • From what I recall, I had Jekyll set at around 80% on the gain, the tone at about 60%, and the vol at about 25%. I also have the bass boost on, and the other switch set to blunt. I think I kicked in Hyde on the solo - I usually have the distortion on about 60% there witthe tone & eq backed down a bit. Such a great pedal - I haven't found anything I like better, and I'm always keeping my eyes (and ears) open! Thanks for the nice comments, man!!!

  • you absolutely rock my world, your the king my man

  • Wow the Jekyll & Hyde sounds incredible.

    Nice playing man.

  • Thanks, bro. - I've been using it for about 3yrs now, and still can't find anything I like better. (And I'm a purchasing agent for a music store!) It has so many good tones. You should check out the Visual Sound pedal shootout... they just make some really good stuff.

  • Hey man, funny thing is, that's how I found your video! Your comment told me to look here for Cliffs of Dover...and I did, lol! Awesome vids. Looks like you and your daughter have fun!

I'm wondering, the overdrive unit in this pedal IS the 808 overdrive, correct? Along with a separate distortion sound?

I already own a Fulltone OCD, but I'm looking for a more...SRV style overdrive as well, but this pedal is intriguing since it's the two in one (though I know about the Double Trouble).

    Thanks!

  • From what I understand, the Jekyll IS the 808. The other side I seldom use, but occasionally throw it in, or comibine the 2 for some thick sustaining. Def the most globally useful tri-pedal I've played. I like the Fulltone, too, but it doesn't give quite as much gain.

And yep, me & the kiddos have to go a little nuts now & then... we have a lotta fun together...they still won't let me go to their school parties, though :-P ha

  • Hello Carson Family~

My name is Shera, and I have to thank you for the entertainment you provide which I am de-stressing to;I purchased my mother's Tom Hanks "Money Pit" house and need all of the laughs I can get,not to mention that it seemed like a good idea to return fiull-time to school to study Electrical Engineering after a seemingly 9,000 year absence! I have picked up my guitar again as well which is what led me to your videos.Best wishes, and please keep up the antics and practicing!Shera

  • Hello Shera! This was probably the most unexpeted comment of all to date! I understand, too - I have a Money Pit car. Life can truly be a giant plate of liver & onions sometimes, so we have to do something to keep our sanity, huh? And acting like guitar-crazed lunatics works as good as any hydrocodone I've come across! And yes, you have my promise that we shall not stop behaving like overgrown 12yr olds... Keep up the gtr playing! (and post a vid of your awesomeness sometime)

  • Nice job. That is cool that its the same guitar as mine even the same orange color.

  • Ultra-great! Really liked it. How about another?

  • wooooo-weeeeeeeeee!! Now THAT is ambitious! Not too shabby, Pablo.. just a couple missed notes.. and that's just a couple hundred less than anyone else on youtube could put up... hence the lack of attempts. Nice job!
