The beauty of this trick is that you are secretly being told what to do, if you where to pick seven after counting the arrows if you went in the opposite direction that they're pointing (the arrows I mean) the trick won't work but Mr.Copperfield forces you to go in that direction just by pointing with both his finger and the arrows this is a beautiful piece of simple magic.
